That would make me sad. I prefer positive motivation, not torturing myself. Maybe put a before and during? So you can see how far you've come and not want to ruin it? I think if I just put my before picture up it might make me feel guilty for eating at all, which is no good.

Avon, NC! That's where we honeymooned. It's beautiful! And the beaches aren't crowded. I love the ocean, or any water for that matter. Hmmm...might be time for vacation!

Hypothyroid does NOT CAUSE MAJOR WEIGHT GAIN. http://www.thyroid.org/patients/brochures/Thyroid_and_Weight.pdf For those that don't feel like reading the whole thing: "Most of the extra weight gained in hypothyroid individuals is due to excess accumulation of salt and water. Massive weight gain is rarely associated with…

I already have hypothyroid, and I take 150mcg of Levothyroxin (Synthroid) every day. I've had it since I was a teenager, and it most certainly wasn't caused by cardio exercises. (Mine is hereditary, thanks Mom!) It also doesn't make you obese. I'm obese because I ate too much fried chicken and stopped MOVING. The health…

Definitely walk! There are more benefits to walking than JUST weightloss. I didn't walk for 3 years, and the muscle atrophy in my legs and back were so bad I had to go through physical therapy. I still have to use a wheelchair if I'm going to be somewhere on my feet for more than 15 minutes. IT SUCKS!!!! I long for the day…

Working out isn't fun...at first. When you start shrinking, and you start noticing you can lift more, walk farther, push harder, that's what makes it fun! And like others have and will say, do something you enjoy!!! If you love walking, and you'll stick with it, then do it. You might try hiking or something, if you like…

Carbs from fresh fruit/veggies isn't what you have to worry about. According to my dietician, you can eat an unlimited amount of tomatoes every day. Here is the list of "free" foods/beverages straight from my menu: Sugar-free gum, water, coffee, tea, club soda, cucumbers, salad greens, cabbage, celery, broccoli,…

I eat 4 tomatoes a day, it's more likely that it's because you were eating them from a can, or something else you were eating.

I felt so uncomfortable and out of place when I walked into the gym the first time. I kept my head down and never made eye contact with anyone. I didn't have much of a choice though, because I have to strengthen my core to alleviate my back pain (herniated disc). After a while I realised that while people do notice me,…

When my little sister (28 years old) passed away in 2010, my mom was so devistated. While it did not immediately make me think to lose weight, it clicked with me that I never ever want to be the cause of that kind of pain. I never thought about my weight as a real health issue, I just didn't care about myself. It's the…

I understand having to stop with kids, but can you not stop at a rest stop and eat what you brought? I guess I don't understand why you "have" to stop and get fast food.

Can you pre-make your meals and take them in a cooler?
