First, I would eat a snack in the afternoon. Second, I would up the water to 3 more cups a day. Sounds like you need a little more calories. I did notice that your food diary has a lot of processed foods. Maybe that is the problem. Hot dogs, macaroni salad, brownies, icecream. Maybe cut those out just a little bit more. Maybe have them once a week and drink extra water? Try that for 2 weeks and see if you notice a difference.

When I first started - I had the same problem with water and the bathroom - I think it's normal.

Did you measure yourself before you started this journey? I would suggest you do that. I had a friend who gained 3 lbs, but it ended up being muscle - but she was measured for fat % after several months.

I don't believe you stated whether its men he is working out with or women? If its men, I get it - he wants to workout with the guys. If he is working out with other women - that is not right - I would be very upset.

Everyone can do the same workout and burn a diffierent amount of calories. Age, weight, male/female all play a part. In addition to the previous post, some people might do the exercises at a different pace, again making it hard to even estimate how many calories you are burning.

Congratulations!! You are taking the right steps in order to be successful in your journey. It will be a difficult journey, but hey, you raised 3 kids so it can't be harder than that! I would have gone to one of the trainers at the gym and told them what I just heard and ask if its true. Once the trainer stopped laughing, I would point to the two guys and state that those two guys just told that girl over there.......let the trainer set them straight.....

I wouldn't hang out with someone who is inconsiderate like that. I myself, am insecure and it would be nice to have half of her confidence.
