I used the walker in 10 minute slots yesterday and today as I have not had time to get out a decent walk. Really enjoying it although I do not believe the calorie count.

I walked for 80 minutes last night and 60 minutes tonight. Last night was the first walk of the winter in the dark and tonight I got soaked and frozen in the heavy rain and hail- winter is on its way. I also spent time making up the Nordic walker I had purchased for when I can't get out in the winter. It was an exercise…

I am going to continuing walking outdoors as much as possible - at least three hours per week. I have also purchased a Nordic walker for when it is just not possible to walk outside. I will let you know if it is any good. Good luck to everyone for the October challenge! :smile:

I find just telling people the truth means that they do not ask again. The look on their face can be really funny. It's also a good one to throw in when you need time to think something over - nobody agrues with you.

I love walking and like shopping and meeting friends for lunch and coffee. The weight was stopping me enjoying these activities. The day lots of people far older than me made light work of a steep hill was the day I knew things had to change.

Finished my September challenge with a lovely walk with a friend last night. I am going to try to continue walking right through the winter as I have all the wet weather clothing.:smile:

Two lovely walks around town. One last night in the last of the sunshine and one tonight with a lovely sunset.:smile:

Good walk with friend tonight. Cold and rainy but good pace.

Walked for 70 minutes again tonight whilst youngest daughter at Brownies. Very relaxing.

Swimming burns lots of calories. Best of all you feel nice and fresh when you get out the pool- not all hot and sweaty.

I find the same. Sorry it does not get better with age either- I am 46 and as long as there is no chocolate or wine in the house I am not too bad but if there is its gone!!

I found that the baby and labour dictated what happened and any plans that I had went out the window. Both my labours strongly reflect some of my children's personality.

Walked for 70 minutes when my daughter was at badminton/ squash club. Getting the hang of this fitting exercise round my daughters activities- if she is exercising so can I and I feel less tired than when I just sat with a coffee and waited

People who treat the gym as a youth club or as a place to have a 'date' and spend the time flirting. At times I have just left the gym because it's so irritating.

Walking with friends is great. We used to go for coffee and meals. Now we walk and talk and feel great.

Managed to have a 70minute walk to night when daughter was at Brownies. Felt great.

Lovely walk between weathers tonight- 1 hour. Best bit was the sun was shining and there was no midges.

When I do not lose weight I try to focus on how much better I am feeling about myself, having more energy, coping with stress better and being able to enjoy life and the people I share life with.

A bit late but would love to join. I love walking in any weather as I have all the wet weather gear. I am hoping to walk at least 3 times a week for at least an hour each time.
