Whenever I have see the Twinkie diet referenced on MFP, it generally is to emphasize the point that weight loss happens when CI< CO I can't recall anyone here ever saying it was the healthiest way to lose weight.

From what I've read about the Netherlands, it does seem that "involuntary" euthanasia (patients have not given explicit consent) is an issue despite a fairly tight legal basis for euthanasia. http://graphics.tudelft.nl/~rafa/pl/jochemsen.htm

Your blood always has some sugar in it (glucose). Without it, you're dead (or soon will be) Cocaine, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, etc.; your body is fine without once you go through physical withdrawal symptoms. The pleasure center is also stimulated by things such as love, sex etc. Overeating looks like addiction at some…

Congratulations on your weight loss. But I thinks it's kind of weird/inappropriate for a doctor to be rating his patients?

Thankfully in Canada they are not allowed to label it as milk. It's "soy beverage" or "almond beverage".

Acid-base balance in the body is primarily achieved through the respiratory system and the kidneys. Not sure where you are getting your scientific facts from.

I've read a study which showed that that the higher fiber content of the brown rice caused less protein to be absorbed. Also, I recently read about arsenic levels high in rice, more so in brown than white as it it absorbed more by the bran.

High urea can be a sign of kidney failure. I would assume your doctor also checked your creatinine level which is another test for kidney function. Obviously I can't diagnose you, but just providing some information. For people with kidney disease, high protein diets are generally not recommended. IMO you should go back to…

If your son became obese, would you hate him? Would you think he was gross and lose all respect for him?
-
Wow. You seem like a really nice person.:flowerforyou:

No, it's not just semantics. The post you initially quoted suggested that obese people were overreacting to fat-bashing; that it didn't really exist. Previous posts in this thread, other threads on this site, and from what I read, and from what I have heard directly from friends in real life lead me to believe it happens…

The first statement doubted the existence of these thoughts "So much raging against strangers' thoughts that almost certainly don't even exist. " Which you agreed with. My point was to show that they do exist. As to the percentage of people who engage in this behavior, I don't really know for sure. I'm assuming you pulled…

From this thread earlier: "Fat poses so many health risks and people who claim to be happy how they are make me ANGRY!!!!! " So, these thoughts do exist. There was also a poster in this thread who said how fat people disgust her. Find a thread where people state mean things people have said to them regrading their weight.…

I had a GP who used a chiropractic technique for my sciatica when I was pregnant which worked wonders immediately. I've also gone to a chiropractor for sudden pain, stiffness and it worked quite well. But I started seeing one for shoulder neck pain following an car accident, the more I went the worse I felt. When I finally…

Great job! I can really see a difference.

Great work. Just wanted to say that I have worked with people with kidney disease for many years and I think that what you are going to do for your brother is just awesome!

So, a person shouldn't be judged for having a belly ring , but an overweight person should not wear a bikini as you think it looks trashy? lol

I didn't say that insurance companies should only use BMI but it is a starting point. Overall, it does give a pretty good probability in regards to illness and death, which is how they make their living. They also look at other factors such as smoking history, previous illnesses, family history etc. I would agree that they…

Maybe we're not so similiar ...? http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/03/health/rare-gene-protects-against-type-2-diabetes-even-in-obese-people.html?_r=0 “The study is a tour de force, and the authors are the top people in the field,” said Dr. Samuel Klein, director of the center for human nutrition at Washington University…

BMI isn't totally BS. it is/was used by insurance companies to help determine risk of illness and death. It has the benefit of being quick and easy (and cheap) to determine, unlike BF %. Disadvantage is that it doesn't take into account BF% so doesn't apply to very fit people. Overall, I think it's a good starting point.

I posted out of concern for your child's well being. Nutrition in children is so crucial to brain development (and other things too of course) and sometimes there's no going back. . In your initial post you did not mention anything about talking to her doctor first., so i am glad to hear that you will be doing that.

All I can say if your young child is going vegan please go see a dietitian that specializes in pediatrics.

Yes, your body would clear out the warfarin on its own. But the antidote is Vitamin K which is found in dark leafy vegetables So the effects of warfarin might be minimized with a mega vegetable cleanse. Not really a cleansing of toxins though.

I'm assuming that the kids are 10 as your profile says you are 127. First of all, I think it is great that you stepped in to love and take care of your niece while you were still very young yourself. I don't see why your fiance won't let you see your niece. It might be different if you were asking that she move in, but to…

From the group page " I have a program in mind that I can tell you more about if you are interested. " Would this have anything to do with BeachBody products?
