  • bump so I can look later--all the pictures don't show up here, but the ones I did see made me laugh out loud at work!!

  • Bump-tons of great ideas here.
  • Leave the pit in, sprinkle with lemon or lime juice, and eat the next day. Maaaybe as much as two days later but that's pushing it. Somehow the pit helps prevent browning, the citrus helps even more, and a little brown doesn't hurt you anyway. Still tastes good. Mix mashed avocado with plain greek yogurt to make it go…
  • OMG this made me laugh out loud!! That'll happen with my pit mix--he's got looooong legs. I am planning to train him to run with me as weather gets warmer. I am going to get a leash that goes around my waist (there's one called Stunt Puppy). I'll start with slow short runs and see how he does with distractions.
  • Since I hit my goal...it's correct now!! HAHAHA!!
  • I have a little runner's belt with small stretchy pouch on it to hold a phone and keys. doesn't hold much more, and you don't have access to it during the run (I flip it around so it sits on my lower back). But I use my iPod nano and only take my phone with for safety. Got it at the local running store for about $20. I…
  • I thought I was the only one who hates the sound of people eating. I have to turn the TV or a fan on during dinner. And chewing gum??! Ugh. It sets me right on edge. Sometimes even the sound of my own chewing grosses me out. Someone came to test the fire alarm today at work. Causes incessant beeping for about 20-30 minutes…
  • I am going to add another recommendation to find a studio in your area and see if they have beginner classes. Much better than trying to learn through a DVD. Also, meditation is one of the most beneficial parts of the class, and it's hard to get that from a DVD.

  • Agree with the above. It's rude to go into a small local specialty store, spend a half hour of their time and expertise, and then not buy anything. At least buy your first pair there. You might find you go back for subsequent pairs, because they continue to share their knowledge, have other good accessories/gear, and maybe…
  • Yoga is WONDERFUL!! I have noticed better strength in my arms and core, more flexibility, and better peace of mind. Find a good studio that does a nice 10 minutes of meditation at the end of class. That's the best part!!
  • Couple of options: buy a padded bra to make it fit up top right now; if you're handy with a needle fix the top to make it fit; if you can afford it, take it to a tailor. You could buy one size smaller, but then would you be able to wear it now?
  • My dog farts, then looks at his butt in confusion (or pride?) like "What was that??!"
  • This, totally. I bought a pair of Calvin Klein jeans at my local good will for about $5 bucks. They fit perfectly, and I love them. Definitely wash before wearing from a thrift store.
  • I think it depends on how fast you're losing and what you do every day. I thought I would wait until goal, but I had to buy new a couple different times because my clothes just started hanging on me. I work in an office, and it's important to look nice. I went to Good Will and found pants until I felt comfortable spending…
  • Just eat it. Salt and pepper. In another life, I used it as a dip with nacho Doritos. Oh heaven. Drop a spoonful in a bowl of chili. Delish.
  • Yes, this happened to me too. There's nothing you can do about it. Keep a careful eye on your mail; you should get a statement from the new loan administrator. They have to send you a bill. Great Lakes, College Loan Corporation, ACS...those are the companies I have worked with. Good luck.
  • to answer your question about whether they will keep or not, use the whole package instead of using half. You will either love them or hate them. and if you love them, I think you'll want the whole package. It's not very much actually. I made pad thai with it and it just filled a pasta bowl (individual size). I hate them…
  • Just curious, why do you HAVE to eat oatmeal? If you don't like it, don't eat it. That being said, I love oatmeal. Steel cut oats, cooked according to directions, add butter, brown sugar, and sliced almonds. Has a firm bite to it, not slimy or runny like other oats.
  • I hate when people come to work sick. Stay at home!! You're no good to anyone if you don't get better, and if you get me sick, I'll be royally pissed. When I start feeling sick, I take a day and rest--sleep,drink fluids, do nothing. Usually that takes care of it. Listen to your body!! (I would report a case of pink eye to…
  • Seriously??! Multiplying and dividing by 14, and then just saying the leftover in pounds anyway??! Ugh. Not a chance. But do what works for you.
  • Your best bet is to go to a specialty running store and get fit for your shoes. They will give you advice on what to buy based on where you're running. I love my Saucony's but they're a very beginner shoe, and I may not even buy them again next time. I will definitely go back and get fit again.
  • I like Aldi Fit & Active Vanilla Almond. It's low enough in calories (about 120 per serving) that I usually pour a bit more than a serving, and use almond milk, which is also low in calories and packed with nutrition. I also like steel cut oatmeal, but after I add my butter, brown sugar and almonds, it's not so low…
  • OP--143 was my starting weight, and 120 was my goal weight (I just got there a couple of weeks ago). I'm just under 5' 2"--if you're around that height, it might be a good weight for you too. I started off with 1200 calories a day and dropped 15 pounds pretty fast. But I quickly realized that 1200 is not much food, and…
  • I don't know how much I spend per week, but one thing I would do is cut out purchased water. Unless the water where you're from is not drinkable, don't buy it. Also, buy generic (private label) whenever you can. If you're buying anything organic, do research on it. Some items don't matter if they're organic. Like bananas,…
  • I have Epilepsy, and I am happily married. I have never even considered myself 'special needs'. I take my medication, control the seizures, and continue with love and life. You, too, will find the right person to love. Stop looking, and it will happen.
  • Start watching the Food Network or the Cooking Channel. Seriously. turn it on and just leave it on, especially a weekend day that you just need background noise. It helps to see them cooking. Alton Brown is especially good at showing and explaining. Rachel Ray makes good, easy, realistic meals.
  • with honey on banana pancakes. or with apples. or a smear on English muffins. or maybe directly from a spoon.
  • I was motivated by my doctor to lose weight and be more healthy...he said exactly the right thing to make it happen for me. But, it did have to click inside me. If what he said hadn't resonated with me, it wouldn't have happened.
  • I don't really have a problem with dry skin, but my husband does. Soft water helps. Put a humidifier in the rooms you are in most frequently. Take a bath in oil (I love Avon Skin So Soft--also keeps bugs at bay in the summer). Coconut oil too.
  • crocheting a scarf while the game is on, looking up for the good commercials and the half time show.
