You have no idea how true that is. Naughty.

I'm single because I just got out of a 6 year relationship. I chose to end it. Unrelated to my breaking up, I want to work on my weight. I'm 287 pounds now. I like women who care about their appearance, and I too need to mirror that. I was in a relationship where I was miserably unhappy. I am happy now. I don't have to…

I love grubs.

10 pounds in less than 10 days. That's too big an attempt. Try to lose 2-3 pounds in those times. I big person like yourself can do it. You also may lose more apparent weight in the first week bringing your calorie count back out of the stratosphere, but it will be food weight. Week 2, you'll start to see more realistic…

I've been in a calorie deficit for almost 4 months now. Maybe my body got used to the lower calories. Last maintenance, or eating not at a deficit, I'm not sure. I think I may have to crunch some numbers.

Learning to separate your food from emotions can be a challenge. I beat it. You can too. Just remember. Food is nothing more to your body than nutrition. Yes, certain foods can trigger chemical changes in your mind. Just try to keep the logical part of your brain in check when it comes to food. Create new neural pathways…

I bet if feels good. I remember when I reached from 285 to 185 back in '99, and held it for 2 years. Best time of my life. Again, congrats. Your transformation is amazing.

I understand where you are coming from. It's hard to find the energy to get up early, or do it late after a 12 hour shift. Do the best you can on the days you have off I guess. Keep positive thoughts in your head. Sometimes the thought of not doing something can happen in as little as 2-3 seconds. Try to keep ahead of that…

We have them every couple of months. They can only fit it at the far wall. I just now happen to sit on the end row next to the wall. I haven't had a binge since this potluck, and I still lost 2 pounds 8 days later. I know it's all about portion control.

Nothing. You gotta lose all the weight. Your body takes it off all around. Keep up strength training, cardio, and proper nutrition and the moobs will turn into pecs.

I would have told that person "Don't hate on me because I'm a size 2. Hate yourself because you're not." the other I would say " "Pretty damn good actually." and hold my head up high with a smile. Haters are going to hate. Sometimes it's good to have a witty comeback. I know it hurts to get publicly talked down to. Best of…

Your body is a biological machine, burning calories 24/7. It just burns them a bit slower while sleeping. If you're hungry, eat something. If you ran out of calories in your daily allotment, go for a short run, or do some other exercise. Happy, healthy living to you.

If you're only 20 pounds away, I would say bump it down to .5 a week, and see how it goes. If you accurately log, and gain, no worries, bump it back down. I highly doubt you'll gain at .5 a week deficit. You can put yourself into a mode where your metabolism will slow down. Consider eating some of those calories it gives…

Thank you everyone for your advice. I'm not afraid to eat high amount of meat. I hear it sure tastes better than protein shakes.

That's it. I'm going to bed early, and hitting the gym before work now. I keep doing things after work, that prevent me from going at night. Holy Machine! As far as the donut situation, everything I am reading says to keep working out more. Dieting can only get you so much results.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Once I got here, and started to monitor my food intake, it was an immediate change. Someone once asked me what I used to eat calorie wise. I told him I don't know since day 1, I ate what the standard macro told me to eat, and haven't gone back to the old ways. I used to overeat. I don't…

I agree. It's frustrating, when the person next to me on the treadmill is yapping away on their phone. I can't hear my Netflix playing on my iPad through a Bluetooth headset while I run.

I'm sorry, my parents do not talk to me like that. They support me 100% in a very positive way. I have a saying in my group of friends. "Drama? Change the channel." I would definitely limit my contact with this person if I was in your shoes, and definitely get out of the house as soon as possible.

People are trying to help you, and you are taking it as judgmental. You asked for help. That means accepting some honest criticism. I wish you the best.

I remember back in 2002. I met a young girl keeping a food diary. She was meticulous with measuring, weighing, and logging with pen and paper. I too thought it weird, till 4 months ago. It's just ignorance by those who haven't been enlightened. I haven't been judged myself for what I do, but then again, I don't give a flip…

My NSV today was noticing that my 2x shirts I bought a month go are starting to get loose.

Holy crap. THE HOBBIT PLUS THE FIRST 9 minutes of the new Star Trek? Amazing!

For good, Nope. Has this site changed me forever, yup. Since day one on this site, something in my mind clicked. I realized I had been living my life all wrong. I've had some recent slips, but I have been able to correct the weight gain in about 3 to 7 days. It's worse than an alcohol addiction. Unlike alcohol, we can't…
