Bump.

A pound a week is realistic and very achievable. Well done Supergal. Keep up the good work.

Congrats. Keep it up.

I have not read all of this thread so if I am repeating what someone else has posted I guess that means we are on the same track. Woo Hoo for me. What I get from the OP is that eating under your BMR will not help you lose weight. When you eat a realistic amount of calories (above your BMR & less than TDEE) to proper fuel…

Thanks for posting this. You look absolutely fab.

Loved the simplicity of your post.

Fan-friggin-tastic lady. Awesome results for all the hard work and dedication that you have put in. You ROCK.

Thanks for a well balanced post all about common sense that doesn't seem to be common anymore. And I totally agree with the person who posted that what you say about others is a much bigger reflection on the sort of person YOU are. Not the person you are shaming, criticizing, or belittling with your choice of words.

I'm a great advocate of taking vitamon D. Very important for mental well being. I started my change with walking in place while listening to music. Why go out in the cold and dark when you can get moving right in the comfort of your own home. I ended up dancing more than walking some days and then I had days where I would…

I took a quick look at your diary and I see that the choice you used for milk and yogurt show absolutely no protein. I did a check on that using the database and see that both do have protein. My suggestion to you is to check the database and make sure that your food options hare showing the required protein then look at…

Flour and sugar mixed. Kina which is a sea urchin. I have to go with some of my mother's cooking. She boiled the goodness out of all the vegies and was kind of bland due to very little seasonings Love spaghetti on buttered toast with a touch of salt and lots of black pepper. Got my daughter hooked on it too..

Oh now that's a fun way to stay motivated.

Weight loss is weight loss. Whether trough surgery or hard work and a better diet. What counts most is whether or not they make a lifestyle change and continue with it. That's what matters to me about my life.

I eat spaghetti & meatballs (mini) with chopsticks. Will eat candy by the color, least fav to fav color although not all of the time. Love pickled beets on a burger although it is not a must have. Mix my Captain Morgan with Cream soda. Eat roast potatoes last since they are my most favorite.

In place walking or marching is what I found helped my knee quite a bit. I didn't have to go anywhere or buy anything to get it done. Just put my shoes on and do it. I ended up naturally progressing from there to weights, jogging, cycling and circuit training.

If you are doing a lifestyle change then why is there a need for cheat meals or cheat days? I know that I am NOT on a diet, I have adjusted my diet to be healthier, smaller portioned and better for me. I eat whatever I want as long as it fits into my calories whether by exercising or eater smaller at the other meals. But I…

You have done a fantastic job of meeting your goal and maintaining it for five years. Truly inspirational, thanks for posting.

It's a two way street. I keep mine open because it ensures that I keep myself accountable. I like to view my friend's diaries as they have some very tasty foods showing. I get some great ideas from them. And I like that other people do on occasions eat fast food or drink alcohol like I do. And sometimes I just love seeing…

Congrats lady. Slow and steady is the way to go. Keep it up.

Yes I do know and understand what you mean. It's a wonderful feeling for something a lot of people don't even think about. Congrats.

Build a bridge and get over it. If you don't have a solution then you are part of the problem. Get off the cross we need the wood. I don't have failures, I have life lessons.

There is a board on Pinterest that has "One exercise to end "Lower Belly Pooch." This stretch will bring your hips back to where they should be, ease forward pressure on your lower back, and dial back the lower belly bulge." Might be worth your looking at to see if it will help along with the other suggestions that you've…

Muscle takes up less space than fat. The more muscle you have, the more calories they burn. Every time you improve your lean body mass is a victory. You didn't put the weight on in just a week and you said you have lost inches so why allow yourself to be frustrated because the scale won't move? The last time I weighed…

Wow judgmental much? I'm not here to preach to people about what they should or should not eat, nor on how they should or should not exercise. This lifestyle change is VERY individual. What works for you probably won't work for everyone. And vice versa. You don't have to understand why I choose to eat real food, fast food…

Better to try and fail then never try at all. But seriously without failure we do not learn. Every time I make a mistake I as myself what the hell am I supposed to learn here. Most of the time it comes back to trusting my "instincts." That first gut reaction you have to something that makes you think yes!!! or Hell No!!!.…
