LOL I know that. I'm talking about some of the people on this thread. From the sound of it, they'd come over, knock the chocolate bar out of my hand, and yell at me. No thanks!
-
Food police doesn't work for me. What if I worked out an extra half hour and adjusted my calories specifically so I COULD have that chocolate bar I've been thinking about for the last two days?
-
No one liked my Bieby post? :(

It was just a quick google search for "glucomannan" and that's all that came up. I'm aware that it's a supplement vs a pasta replacement thing. Didn't have time to devote more thought to it.

I did a quick google search and came up with one study that was done last year and was basically inconclusive: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24533610

Did someone say it's not possible? 49 and 75 lbs down.
-
The whole purpose of MFP is to log and track your food, which is kind of the opposite of intuitive eating. Rather than "dieting," maybe just log what you regularly eat for a few days and see how it goes?
-
Eat less and exercise more.

I just had a great idea. How much does a kidney weigh? I have two of them, after all. I could donate one and drop a quick couple of pounds. :)

You've gotten a lot of great advice so far. I just wanted to say keep at it, don't give up! You're doing great! You'll find when you replace the sugary cereal (which you burn through immediately) with protein (oatmeal, egg, Greek yogurt), you'll stay satisfied longer and won't be tempted to snack on candy! :)

*like* ^

At the end of the day, your body doesn't care if you're tracking calories or WW points. It's all about creating an energy deficit to lose weight. Extra weekly points you get with WW are the same as having the calories even out over the course of a week. Different equations, same results. Don't over think it.

LOL you sound like my husband. My answer to him: "There's no statute of limitations on being an ***hole!" Ain't marriage grand?

There's a similar thread going on here with lots of helpful advice: community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10043329/single-working-parents-when-do-you-workout#latest

If I'm really hungry and out of calories for the day I check my Fitbit, and if I have any green (very intense) lines under "calories burned," I count them so I can have a little snack! Yes, I'm fully aware that im grasping, but some days call for drastic measures! LOL :)
-
It also depends on your size and fitness level. Someone who is 500 lbs would get quite a workout just going grocery shopping, but someone who is a healthy weight and works out regularly shouldn't count that.
-
Depends on your particular needs and issues. I like the Beck Diet Solution. It takes a CBT approach...helped me to re-think my relationship with food and learn how to control it. It's not "inspirational" so much as "educational."

Are you really sleep eating? That's a rare disorder. See your doctor for treatment.
-
I don't have much time to myself either. I had to choose between sleep and exercise and I chose exercise. I'm tired all the time, but I use exercise to manage my depression, so there's really no other way.

Grow up and eat your vegetables. How can you dislike all vegetables? Such a huge variety of flavors, textures, cooking methods. Raw carrots. Steamed artichokes. Grilled onions. Sauteed Brussels sprouts. Baked stuffed peppers. Blanched tomatoes. Stir-fried broccoli. All completely different from each other.

I'm sorry about your dad. I lost my dad to cancer almost 10 years ago. You've made amazing progress and you've lowered your health risks tremendously just by coming as far as you have -- give yourself credit for that! :) I've lost almost 75 lbs and I'm still obese. I know how frustrating that is. I love to work out because…

I'm up at 5am, work out in my basement (DVDs, treadmill, dumbbells, etc.), I'm showered and dressed by 6:30, get kids up at 7, put them on the school bus at 8, and go to work. When the weather gets warmer and the days are longer I hope to run outside a few times a week.
-
So the holidays threw me off, not because I didn't want to exercise, but because I had 9 house guests for 2 weeks and no time to myself! Ugh. Starting again tomorrow.

MFP has it set for 1500 for men, 1200 for women. Any time you eat under that it's going to give you an automatic warning. It's just an estimate based on an algorithm, it doesn't really know you. I like to get a second opinion here: scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ This has proved to be pretty accurate for me. The…

It's not about being judgmental. You're just killing yourself, plain and simple. No one can survive long term on 700 cals of food and 1000 cals of alcohol per day. To call that a ""healthy lifestyle" is just stupid.
-
No, read my post again. You need more than 700 calories of food a day for your body to function, especially with your long workouts and the way you abuse alcohol. A pint of hard liquor every day of the week is not "just a few drinks." Keep up that pace of drinking and your brain, heart, and liver will suffer irreversible…

I hope you have good health insurance

Am I behaving as if she's a loved one?
-
LOL I'm not trying to save the world! Just pointing out some very dangerous behaviors to one individual from one post. I've seen threads go on for days about similar posts. Why the "none of my business" attitude all of a sudden? Rhetorical question...don't bother answering.
