I did some coke in the 80s...never been skinnier! LOL Thank you for this. Yes, I'm eating too many calories. I only decreased my calorie goal to 1300 this morning. I had been shooting for 1500, and justifying more with exercise, and having a few too many "indulgence" days. So yes, too many calories. Now I'm shooting for 1300. October 15...we shall see....

I have small children, a husband, and a mother who is getting older, and they all need me. So suicide is not an option at this point. Thanks for the helpful suggestion, though. :)

It's simple: they taste bad. Cook fresh and freeze in advance -- once you start eating good fresh food you'll never go back. I have black bean chili, vegetable soup, and turkey lasagna in my freezer right now, all made from scratch and all delicious.

That's why it's a range and not a simple number. We all have different body composition so the number on the scale is not set in stone. I hate cleaning so I turn it into exercise on purpose so I get some benefit from it. No, if you need to eat 1500 cals a day to lose 1.5 lbs a week, and you exercised and burned 300 cals today, that means you can eat a total of 1800 cals today and still lose the projected 1.5 lbs a week.
