  • I am a personal assistant for a lady who has multiple medical problems. I assist her in her daily day to day life, as well as managing her medical needs (meds, blood sugar testing, etc). Never the same day twice. :)
  • I agree with whomever said it was motivational to see the pictures in all your glory...I can't wait until I'm comfortable enough to do that...someday. Keep on showing it off, you all worked hard for it! You rock! :)
  • It's wonderful how the happiest day of your life can be such a stress inducing mess, isn't it? It's been awhile since I went through all the wedding craziness (13 years) and we had lots of little things that would pop up, the largest being issues with our photography studio. It got to the point where I just said I couldn't…
  • @shocktastic...have to say Tinkerbell. :)
  • Same thing happened to my husband last summer. He's lost over 100 lbs and was running into work during a rain storm. He never noticed that his ring flew off. :( A co worker found it...after it had been run over by a car and bent out of shape. I bought him a new one in the winter...not the same, but it's not too bad. I was…
  • I've been with my husband for 15 years...he JUST saw how much a month ago when I finally weighed myself. Now he's part of my weigh in process. He's proud of me, and proud of the progress I've made thus far. I still hate that number, but I'm working on it.
  • "S$%t." "What?" "Rollers." "No." "Yeah" "S%$t." "We're on a mission from God". Blues Brothers "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife!" "Have fun storming the castle!" "Anybody want a peanut?" "He didn't fall? INCONCEIVABLE!" "Why do you keep saying that word? I don't think it means what you think it means." Princess Bride "When…
  • I love my curly hair...although when it misbehaves, I wish it were smooth and sleek. But, it's my trademark...it's long and curly and it's me. I have straightened it and while I think it looks good...it's definitely a different look for me. I think everyone has a different preference..and if someone can't get past your…
  • Put on a blackhawks shirt I bought last year when we joined our current gym. I remember it fitting snugly in the hips. Threw is on this morning and there's quite a bit of room..it's a women's xl. :)
  • Me as well. :) And I'm clueless. I think I've been about this size most of my adult life (looked at old pictures today...my clothing size has been pretty constant since the birth of my second son). I've watched my husband lose over 100 lbs over the last 3 years..he looks awesome and he did it on his own. I made him join a…
  • These are great! My husband and I have nicknamed people for as long as we have been working out together. Creepy Sweatshirt Dude - always works out in jeans, work boots and a hoodie. Only works on his arms. We have joined 3 separate gyms and he has joined the sames ones. We are starting to think we have a stalker.…
  • I usually get mid to late 20's. I'm going to be 38. They generally get shocked when I tell them my oldest son is 17. :P
  • Oh...forgot Aerosmith! Also went to Lollapallooza '93, so tons of bands there
  • Richard Marx (in high school....lol) Queensryche with Type O Negative Sammy Hagar (x2) Def Leppard KISS Cheap Trick Tesla (seeing them again Saturday) ZZ Top
  • My daughter has a betta fish named Sam she got for her 8th birthday this year. She's done pretty well with him too...good thing bettas are pretty low maintenance. I have a nearly 18 year old tabby cat named Tigger....I took her in when she was 1 from a family that couldn't keep her any longer and she and my eldest son have…
  • I'm loving some of these! My kids have chores, but don't earn any allowance unless I don't have to remind them. Hasn't happened yet. There's always something that doesn't get done. There are 5 kids...dad and I both work, so the eldest ends up with sitter duty for a few hours a day. His allowance is basically us taking him…
  • I think most gyms have this type of person. At ours, it seems that if you are female, you will be stared at when using the equipment in the free weight area. I rarely go over there if I go at night, since that seems to be when all the jerks come out. Good for you for holding your ground. Our jerks are equal opportunity…
  • Hello! My name is Dawn and currently, my hair is somewhere between MBL and WL when I pull is straight. I had WL hair until I had my first child, then got frustrated and cut it to my shoulders. I have let it grow and cut if over again a few times, but over the last few years, I decided I love it long, so that's where it…
  • Love those looks! I've done the dutch braid on my daughter...she had someone do it at a fair and I watched them. They called it a hunger games braid, lol. I have such a hard time doing a bunch of different things to my hair. I usually just end up throwing it up in a hairband/bun/loopy thing to keep it out of my way while…
  • There are lots of things to do in Chicago, especially in the summer. Hope you had (or are having!) a blast! I've lived here all my life and I'm still finding new things to do. :) Love our museums, the lakefront, and my husband and I agreed last weekend when we were down there that we have the BEST skyline. (Of course, we…
  • Count me in! Over the last year or so my hair has gotten a lot longer...and I love it! :) It's about waist length and is curly/wavy. My mom always said that I'd cut my hair when I got older...but I'm nearly 38 and it's here to stay. :)
  • Any time I get a text message from my boss on my days off. When my 17 year old son responds with "okayyyyyy". When my husband sends a ":-(" if I don't respond right away at times. Sometimes I'm busy, or I'm working or I'm driving....ugh. The lovely spam texts...don't get them all the time, but for a few weeks, it was…
  • I hate that so many of us have had so many moments like this. Thanks to everyone who had the courage to post...because in the moment, when something embarrassing happens, you feel like you are the ONLY person this stuff has happened to. My first memories of being teased was in 3rd grade...a boy behind me called me…
  • Nothing gross, but my boss opened a box of raisin bran to find out it was just the bran without the raisins.
  • I do! I have 6 with plans for many more. :) I am of Irish heritage, so I have 3 Celtic (triquetra on my inner right wrist, friendship knot inner left ankle which one of my best friends also has, Celtic motherhood knot between my shoulder blades with my children's birthstones in the open spaces, lower back sun, moon and…
  • This is good to see and great tips. I carry a lot of weight in my belly as well...I had 5 kids and with each one, my muscles got weaker. I can FEEL them in there...they are just kind of hiding right now. Good to know there is hope!
