We are almost same age and same weight to lose. 47 and 130 to lose. If you'd like, we can add each other as friends because I am willing to bet $100 that we have the same challenges ahead of us.

I own the office where I look (and the furniture and computers, etc.) and snacking at the desk is bad for the office. It ruins keyboards, and mice, etc. etc., which adds up to costs. We have a breakroom and kitchen, a table and a fridge in the back. We encourage breaks twice a day (at least) for snack and have no problem…

Are you sure those pictures are of the same person? Just saying.... great job!

Now that your new friends have gotten their creative snarks out of the way... Don't do it. I am a veteran of the Cabbage Soup Diet (completely legit until it was exposed as a fraud), a doctor-led liquid only 900 calorie a day diet and various other schemes. I have taken "Dieter's Cleanse" herbal supplements and other quick…

THere you go. Day 1 becomes Day 2, becomes Week 1, becomes Week 2, becomes Month and then you will look back and see where you have been and how far you have come. Good luck. If I can help, let me know. Tim

That baby is going to have a mama who will be around for her to grow up! Congratulations on your successes! Post baby pics.

Pay attention to that post! She knows what she is talking about.

In my opinion, you just did! Do what you did on those other 60+ days. And another thing; the world is hard enough on you without you adding to it. Give yourself a break and see yesterday for what it was, a rarity and no longer a habit. Your new habit is eating better and living better.

Rains have quit and I am not sick! added 2.5 miles today 6.5 miles so far... have a lot of catching up to do, but going to try to walk 2.5 miles per day every weekday, except Tuesday when I will do a shorter 1.5 mile walk (have to get to work earlier). Also going to walk on Saturday mornings with HS football season being…

If 10 lbs. is all you need to lose, I would say it is very hard, if not impossible, to do it in a month. If 110 lbs. is what you need to lose, then 10 lbs. in one month is possible. It depends upon the percentage of total body weight you want to lose altogether.

falling behind. 3.5 miles so far

No, but people have asked me when I am due. It hurts my feelings, being a man and all.

There are a lot of extra steps in there. I can immediately go from cake to naked, forget this Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon crap. I go straight to Bacon too.... Maybe that's my problem. Too much cake. Too much bacon. I can say this, it sure isn't too much naked people!

Thanks for this post. I did not know this about the water weight with new exercise routines and sore muscles.

Don't give up. Kickstart yourself again with the actions you know work for you and it will come back to you.

Try this. When they send out the email, follow it with a Reply All that lets everyone know how many calories are in said snack. "Hey folks, that awesome cake is 450 calories. Just FYI." That might win you the award for Most Passive-Aggressive Co-Worker, but it might also make a point. You might try leaving some awesome new…

Except aging isn't preventable.. Unless you kill people off before they get old. Try again.
So should we throw people in jail for being overweight?
Not when we outnumber your skinny *kitten* 2 to 1.

Okay, is this a stone since October 30? Or from the day we join? Either way, I am in !!! 313.4 as of Nov. 7. I'd love to be under 300 at Christmas!!!!!!

Doesn't everyone hate old people and mothers?

Go to the market and get 2.5 lbs. of hamburger meat and look at the mass that it is. That is a lot of mass to lose. Actually, since hamburger meat is 75 muscle/25 fat, the mass of 2.5 lbs. of body fat is actually quite a bit more. And.... think of the percentage of weight you have lost. Since starting back, I am down by 7…

For Thanksgiving, we are going to take dinner to the inlaws in FW, so there will be no leftover stuffing, potatoes, pie, etc. hanging around for days (and years on the belly). For Christmas.... cancelling being the annual home everyone comes to visit. Going to make it a more relaxing day without a lot of cooking and…

Don't beat yourself up to the point of eating at your eating, if you know what I mean. Have been guilty of that myself a lot as an adult. Move on, together!

I am at 320, heaviest I have ever been. 47 with heart issues. 6'2" and all my weight is in the middle. Skinny legs and arms. Like a F'ing orange with toothpicks stuck in it. Add me and we can help each other.

Add me. I am a return as well.

I'm in, but it will be walking for me. Weight, ankles and knees are bad. Tim

30 miles walking

Sashimi (tuna, salmon, red snapper) Bonzai roll (white rice and fish and avocado) Mixed Japanese style cucumber salad with cukes, seaweed salad, fake crab, shrimp and octopus ... iceberg salad with ginger dressing... I am in. Goals for 75 days: 1. Log in every day, even weekends. 2. Log all foods (and be as honest about them as I can) every day, even bad days. 3. Walk 4 times a week, if not more, at least 30 minutes a time. Build up to 3+ mile per hour pace by end of challenge! 4. Drink no more than 1 glass of wine on a week night (a…

Drinking is a hard part of losing weight, especially for those like me who have been drinking regularly for a long time. Alcohol is empty calories, but it also slows metabolism and lowers -- for me anyway -- my resolve not to eat everything in sight after hours. At least going to the bar, they will measure your drinks for…

That is an inspiration!
