  • Fantastic, congrats, you look great! I LOVE LOVE the pic with you and your daughter in your old pants! What an accomplishment!
  • try dark chocoate that is 72% or more cocoa. dark chocolate doesn't leave the sweet after taste that makes you crave more. Good luck!
  • For a snack I will eat a Detour lower sugar whey protein bar, but there are lots of different protein bars out there, so check them out. Also there are several protein powders you can try. Of course the best way to get protein is in it's true form, so add low fat cheese and meat to your diet. My son has a protein drink…
  • Wow, not only that you lost 150 pounds but that you kept with it. Congratulations, this is fantastic! You certainly an inspiration to everyone!
  • Sorry you feel that way, I have found many women to be supportive, encouraging and a lot of fun. You need to find new friends that if that is what your woman friends are like. Here is an EXCELLENT study that was done on women and friendships. http://www.anapsid.org/cnd/gender/tendfend.html
  • Walking is a great place to start. You can build from there, get a walking buddy or buddies. The more people the more likely you are to keep it up. Also don't wait to long to add strength training. Toning muscle helps to burn more calories even while you are sitting doing nothing. Muscle burns more calories than fat. Good…
  • Wow, I have been doing the LS waling videos with a group at work and love them. We have been doing this for a year or 2. It is great exercise and by doing it with LS you get variety and pushed beyond just walking at a slow pace. good to see someone else is doing her vidoes. There are so many and at so many different levels…
  • thanks, I will check these out!
  • Hi ALL! I lost this week YAHOOOO. I have been stuck at 193.2 for several weeks (bad eating choices...) but this week I am 3 pounds thinner (either that or my scale is malfunctioning, I am going with the weight loss  ). My goal is to lose 25 lbs for summer.
  • FANTASTIC! Way to go!
  • I didn't submit my weight on Friday, should I wait until tomorrow or just do it now. I didn't have a weight lose so it is the same 193.2. With all the snow I only got to the gym once last week.
  • Go for it and don't let others people negativity distract you from what you want. It is their insecurities that they are trying to transfer to you. Remain strong and keep at it!
  • Congrats and way to GO!!! Awesome job. I know it was not easy, so good for you!
  • great, can't wait to try them!
  • WOW, thanks! I did not know that. See the site is supportive and educational! THANKS again.
  • Let me know if I am doing this wrong. My starting weight is 193.2 lbs. My goal is to lose 25 lbs by summer. 1st Goal - 188 by Feb 26th 2nd Goal - 178 by April 22nd 3rd Goal - 173 by May 28th 4th Goal - 168 by June 21, 2011
  • Is it to late to join? I REALLY need the motivation, I just can't get myself to stop eating the wrong foods. I am 46 years old a mom of two (14 yr old boy and an 11 yr old girl) and married. My highest weight was 204, I joined WW and was down to 179 and then quit because I just lost my motiviation and I was stuck at 179. I…
  • in this case calories = energy. When I entered my regular cup of coffee this AM, I found out that coffee has 5 calories! I thought it was 0 (it is just coffee grinds and water, not one of those speciality coffees from a shop) Guess that is why you have to enter EVERYTHING you put into your mouth.
  • I am skeptical of anything that says it can target a specific area of your body for weight loss. Not sure if this is the same diet, but I read a thread about this diet and it was remarkably similar to many other threads of people who were supposedly not related. The one thing they had in common was that they all linked to…
  • "Aunt Flow" I never heard that before. I love it, and will be using it! Great one!
  • so weird, I was just wondering about this last night as I was leaving the gym. I usually get 6 or more colds a year - especially in the winter, it is just one long cold. I have not had a cold this year (knock on wood) yet and I was thinking how great I felt and I wondered if the exercise had something to do with it. Now I…
  • Mine was 1200 and then I updated my profile because I am not working out 5 or 6 days a week. It boasted up my allowed calories by over 200 a day!
  • I usually have lowfat organic vanilla yogurt with frozen raspberries. It is delish! Back up breakfast is steel cut oats or the Arnold Sandwich thin toasted with a VERY thin layer of peanut butter and sometimes a banana. It's yummy and the peanut butter keeps you full.
  • I was there for a long time, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. The daycare I sent my kids to helped out by giving the class a late afternoon snack. If yours doesn't, try giving the kids healthy light snacks in the car on the way home. There are several cookbooks out there that have delicious recipes you can make…
  • Ditto with everyone else. My first drop in size was after I lost 20 lbs. I think in part it was because my clothes were tight and had stretched out some before I started. The next couple sizes dropped off faster. Just keep going, it will happen and when it does there is no better feeling! It will happen if we keep at it…
  • Wow, sounds like you need a work out buddy. I RARELY or perhaps never feel like going to the gym, but by having someone else who goes with me I make myself go and I always feel better afterwards. You have to find a buddy who is really dedicated to getting to the gym. I am lucky becuase I was able to find that person right…
  • Been there, but on the other side. My husband loses weight so easily and so fast, it isn't fair. It is discouraging and disheartening. I find it is better to lose on my own and not worry about what he is doing. Unfortunately for women, we lose weight slower then men, especially after the age of 40. There was even an…
  • return it get your cash back and go to a consignment store and get an XL. You won't feel guilty when you shrink out of the XL and you might even be able to get the same coat in a medium or large at the end of the season on sale. Or maybe an XL and a L now at the consigment store. There are some really great ones near me. I…
  • I do. When I did Weight Watchers they said to count coffee, tea, crystal light and diet soda as my water intake was OKAY. I still drink more water than these other liquids, but if I have one, I count it.

  • Even vegetarians eat foods besides fruit and veggies, such as soy products. Without protien in your diet you will feel hungry and may end up blowing it because you cannot get the full sensation you need. My husband always says, "Everything in moderation" and I really think he is right. Good luck whatever you decide.
