I would never work out in makeup, it sounds horrible. I guess I've been blessed with clear skin, but still. Ick.

I have been where you are. Here's what helped me. I know this sounds simple, but it's not. You have to learn to say "NO" to yourself. Your will power and self control are muscles, and the more you exercise them, the stronger they get. The first time I didn't eat what I wanted when I wanted, it was literally painful. I…

Like everyone else said, you can't spot reduce, HOWEVER. You can reshape your booty with squats and lunges. Seriously, my butt already looks so different after just two months of weight training. It didn't have a shelf, but it was pretty flat. It's got a nice curve to it now. MUSCLES!

These threads about magic cake mix pop up every week or so and people still just accept them as fact without looking it up. :/

bikini!
-
Bad idea. Change the way you eat and train together, keep your mouth shut.

I honestly wouldn't even know you were the same person! Always remember what it felt like to be overweight... not to cling to it but so this really can be a change for life. Congrats on getting it under control at a young age!

I'll think of this every time I'm the only out of shape person at the gym! haha! Loved it, thanks for sharing. Very motivational!

Hey! I am married as well, and while I don't mind other people flirting it's not my thing at all. Only have eyes for my hubby! I lift between two and four days a week so we can cheer each other on! Two days just by myself, two days in a group barbell class. I do hardly any cardio and I like it that way LOL :) Request sent!

I didn't notice, other people did! When I had lost about 15 pounds, lots of people at work started coming up to me and telling me that I looked really good and asking how much weight I'd lost. I lose first in my face and abdomen, so it's more noticeable in the beginning than people that lose in their arms or legs first.…

Tofu = yummy Still applies!

Eat "normal" food, just pick healthier options for it! That way it's still easy (at least to me). If my family is having burgers and fries for dinner, I'll get either lean turkey or 93% lean beef. Instead of regular buns, I"ll get whole wheat thin buns. Instead of iceburg, we put fresh baby spinach on top. Fresh tomato…

You should at least switch to a healthier brand of hazelnut spread, like Jason's. Nutella is mostly sugar.
-
Way to go! Thanks for the inspiration. You are beautiful at any size, your happiness is so lovely.
-
It's CRAZY how many people think Nutella is healthy. Look at the freaking label! It's sugar with some nuts and chocolate thrown in!

Shampooing your hair daily isn't good for it, but I'm with you, I don't like how it feels to not shampoo it. I use a sulfate free shampoo and I also add a tablespoon or two of jojoba oil to both my shampoo and conditioner bottles every week or two. The lack of sulfate makes the shampoo much less harsh, and the oil makes my…

I love that feeling!

Yay for fellow female lifters. Woot! And yes, to the 9000 people who asked, this is obviously sarcastic. She's thrilled with her results and is the oppostie of bulky! She looks amazing, so obviously she's happy!
-
So happy for you! That's awesome!

I don't do low carb anymore, but I did for my first month and a half. You should check out Low Carb Friends. They have a huge community there, lots of cool people and tons of recipes/advice. I don't remember what their website is exactly, but just google it and it should come up first! :)

I'm a nerdy LADY thank you very much :p I've played WoW off and on since the beginning of time and have tried most other current MMO's. I like a few xbox and ps3 games, but I'm much more into PC games. I actually don't play that much anymore because I'm so busy. Being an adult is overrated.

http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html This one has descriptions. MFP calculates your TDEE for you automatically FYI.

It's not doing a medical work up on you, it's crunching numbers. If you're not measuring your food carefully or have some medical issues, the numbers will be off.

I hate to point this out, but it is almost entirely based on your genetics. Other factors that play in are your age, how far your skin was stretched, and how long. If you are a chronic yoyo dieter with massive amounts of weight lost and gained several times, your skin will be less likely to fully recover every time. You…

I honestly don't think it takes long at all... You can save your frequently used meals and add them in like two seconds. You can scan anything that has a barcode. If it feels like it takes a long time you're probably making it way harder than it needs to be.
-
The closer you are to your goal weight, the harder it gets! Try to think about just getting your body healthy and take your measurements and check those every month or so... and not worry as much about the number on the scale. It will happen but don't focus on it because it will drive you nuts. Your body requires a certain…

I'm sorry to hear about what you've been through. That being said: You can so do this. Your muscles will remember what's up and chase the fat monsters away!
-
It's been said, but it's so true. Have protein with every meal, and always have fruits and veggies available and ready to snack on. You'll have trouble eating as many as 2000 calories a day if you start doing that :)

I think you need to think about three things: Can you handle "faking" it? Some people have triggers, and it will send them over the edge. Are you willing to take that risk? Are you willing to put a processed chemical in your body so you can pretend to have your old habits? All of the low carb sweeteners have cons, even the…

When I turned 30 and realized that my father died at the age of 33. Life is precious and short, and you never know how much longer you have. I didn't want to waste one more year feeling and looking the way I did. Nobody else can do this for me.
