You probably have set to lose 2 lbs per week. Plus sedentary means you do hardly nothing through the day, which means less calories you burn. Change your goal to one lb, and eat back your exercise calories and you should be nearer to 2,000, which is a lot easier to do. 1,200 is probably not going to be enough for you, if…

Calories = Gain or lose weight Macros = Help you body do what it needs to do to use those calories effectively and help keep you healthy. You CAN lose weight on nothing but chocolate, as long as you eat a deficit or calories. But you're going to be tired and hungry and sick and probably have trouble going to the bathroom,…

Up your intake by 500. If you're under MFP's goal by 500, then you're under maintenance by 1,000, which could be too much for your body. You may also just need some time to adjust. Weight loss isn't linear.

I tend to weigh myself multiple times a week, but I only count officially once a week. Weighing everyday is okay, if you want, so long as you realize that it's going to fluctuate (can be up to 8 pounds either direction) and that it isn't going to be all that accurate. That way you don't get too obsessed with a silly little…

I normally just use generic egg for all my eggs, I do specify my toast is toasted though. But I honestly don't know if there is much of a difference. ETA: I also normally add my butter separate, a lot of butters have a lot of different counts and nutrients

bump because looking into treadmills too

Burn 200 calories. There really isn't a way to increase metabolism, only keep it steady by eating frequently, staying hydrated, getting enough sleep yada yada 1,700 is your maintenance, unless you gain weight Which you can do, either by gaining fat, or muscle, both of which will take time You'd likely want to go with…

3,500 calories make up one pound of fat Which means you need to eat 3,500 calories OVER you maintenance Which means, assuming you have a 500 calories deficit, you need to eat 4,000 calories over (4,500, if at a 1,000 deficit) Which is around 5,000 calories in total Which is kinda hard to do in the first place And even if…

You realize this is exactly why body positivity is important, right? "Oh, she's fat. She never exercises, not even to take her dog for a walk, and she always eat fast food! The only guy that'll ever love her is a guy that fetishes fat people" Because that doesn't make a larger person feel like they should hate themselves...

I don't see anything wrong with a larger sized Barbie doll. No, it;s not going to make young girls want to be fat, but it will help young girl that are fat, not feel so horrible about themselves. I mean, did you hear here? The average age a young girl starts to DIET, no worry about dieting, ACTUALLY DIET is just 8 years…

Coming from a 20 year old, the more you suggest that she do something about her weight, the less likely she is to do it. These are her young years, let her enjoy them, unless she is getting sick because of her weight, there isn't much reason to worry. Still help keep her healthy, keeping junk out of the house, unless she…

Calories is for weight. But the recommended nutrients will help you feel better. Mfp seems to only give minimum requirements though. So I would look into what is recommended for /you/ :) However to lose weight, you don't really need to follow the nutrients, but it does help you stay on track and stay healthy

I'm on the same track. I've been eating a LOT of junk food lately. Just get back on the horse and drink lots of water. Don't restrict to make up for what you over ate or anything like that. Just go back to eating healthier. I normally feel better right away, but everyone is different :)

You should maintain, or eat more. You can't gain muscle on a calorie deficit.

Motivation from friends can be very important. Something like this, it's hard to do and it's a great push to have someone else say "WOW Keep up the good work!" Yeah, you can motivate yourself, but what happens on a bad day. One of those days where you just can't care enough to tell yourself you did good. Hearing it from…

I've heard eat within 2 hours of waking up. Whether you wake up at 6 am or 6 pm. That's just what I've heard. If eating how you do now is working for you, stick with it. I don't always eat within that time limit, actually, I've hardly eaten proper at all lately. There is truth to it not really revving you metabolism, but…

I like the c25k that everyone's mentioning. But I have a suggestion. To it twice. The first time around, take it slow, don't try to outright run, just jog (And with proper form) Build up to being able to do more than walk for 20/30 minutes. Then do it again and work on going faster and running. I haven't gotten all the way…

The human body actually isn't all that symmetrical! Pretty neat, huh? Look at other things on your body. You might find some other differences!

I looked through you're diary and I suggest you up your intake. You've rarely eaten more than 1,200. in the past few days. It's very very unhealthy. Just because you have the right nutrients, doesn't mean you have enough calories. Calories are important, they do not just feed fat, they feed everything else your body does…

I don't know your stats, so I can't say how much you should eat. But me? I need about 1800 plus whatever I burn. If I were to eat 1,200 and not what I burn, I'd only be eating about half of what I need. I'm going to assume you're set to lose 2 lbs a week. Here's what happens most of the time. You feel pretty good, you lose…

MFP will set your calories to 1,200 if the weight loss you're aiming for takes your calories past that. So to me it sounds like you're trying to lose weight too quickly. I would say change it to 1lb per week, or a half a pound. The slower you go, the more likely it is for you to keep off the weight. It may be frustrating,…

Strength training is a type of physical exercise specializing in the use of resistance to induce muscular contraction which builds the strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles. So, yeah, cardio/strength mix is a type of strength training, it's just not 'weight lifting' Also, does it matter much? It has…
-
A general rule with weight lifting is to go with weights that you can lift about 8-12 times, the last two or three being a little hard to lift, because you're arm is feeling the burn. With cardio/weights mix, I would go with something lighter, that you can easily move. If the 5s are too much, it's perfectly okay to go with…

Calories burned while under will be minimal at best. Don't worry about it. Especially because, you're going to need extra calories to heal anyway. Take a break Eat healthy, but don't stress over every single calorie. Eat if you're hungry and feel better :)

Though the user deactivated, I'm gonna post incase anyone else needs it, or OP decides to come back. I'm about 220 and 1500 calories is too little for me. I would suggest uping your calories. I have a feeling you've put the setting to lose two lbs a week, which while possible and very nice to do, isn't always the best…
-
I'm not saying it's the reason for the stall in just three weeks, but it can cause problems if the OP continues to eat little for too long. I was just giving a heads up.

Make sure you stretch after! And make sure you're running with proper form
-
If you eat 1500 calories, burn off 300, all your body has left to use is 1,200. That's used for breathing, blinking, heart pumping and all the little things that we don't control. So I guess it's odd wording, but that's how I see it worded a lot. Your brain will think your body does not have enough. Does that make sense?…

Give it time. Make sure you drink plenty of water Measure, more than weigh. And possibly look into eating more. I know your aim is 2 lbs a week, but after a while, if you're eating too little (like 1,200, even though you're eating back you're calories, your body still thinks it's only getting 1,200) I don't know your…
