  • That's about how many MFP says I burn when I go for a half-hour walk. But everyone says using your own monitor is way more accurate. Either way, don't give yup! And make sure you're eating your calories so that you net 1,200 at least. You might even have to up that some. :)
  • Wooooooooowww! Awesome job!!!! And thank you for this motivation!
  • Game of Thrones: A song of Ice and Fire xD
  • When it comes to inches and weight, losing inches is better. Weight is SO easily influenced. You could drink a bottle of water and gain a lb, but that doesn't mean you're a lb fatter, it's just the water. Inches are better, weight will probably start up soon. Don't worry :)
  • Crazy! We just talked about this in my TOPS group tonight! We went over a 'good healthy' day's work of food, like special K cereal, a wendy's salad, some pasta and little sides to go with it all throughout the days and it ended up adding up to a whole CUP of sugar!
  • Tonight is the night I allow myself something unhealthy :D So, pizza it is!
  • Let him by his own food. I suppose I could understand, he just didn't like all the changes you made, but he doesn't sounds very supportive. So let him support himself and your support yourself (at least when it comes to food) Let him buy his own, you cook for others and you that want/need it.
  • 'Fat loss' products like that, usually only get rid of water weight. Sorry :c
  • It happens. More often than not, it's only water weight. So don't fret too much if you do gain. The measuring tape is more your friend than the scale I wish you luck though!
  • Peanut butter sandwiches have a lot of protein and calories! Fast and easy to make!
  • Eat more! You need at least 1,200 calories a day and it looks like you're only getting 800. I eat 800 before dinner. So, eat more breakfast, like 400-700 calories is plenty. Eat a snack, have some lunch, another snack, then dinner. Eat at least 1,200 (Even after exercise) and I think you won't be as hungry :)
  • Eat SLOW. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to get the message that your stomach is full, so the slower you eat, the more time your brain has to realize it, and the less you'll eat for breakfast. It's okay to still want to eat more later, it's actually healthier to eat 5 small meals a day, instead of three big ones. But I…
  • While that might not be a good breakfast, you need something more than dry toast lol! Grab some fruit and some toast (doesn't even have to be dry), add an egg! Granola, peanut utter, green tea, carrots. There's lots of choices and you ccan make a pretty big breakfast from it. Not even that hard you could make it yourself!…
  • *Goes off to find her pedometer*
  • Start slow. It took me more than a month to actually start eating healthy. Until then, I was only focused on calorie intake. It gets much easier as you go, especially the drinking water part. So for now, just focus on getting in the habit of tracking everything relapses happen lol, don't let yourself get discouraged by…
  • Don't worry about it :) On average, the body fluctuates about 5 lbs throughout the day. So unless you gain like 10 lbs, it's most likely water weight ^^
  • Just start with walking. Walk for as long as you can, then slowly build up when it gets easier. You could try walk/run where you walk for a minute or so, the run as long as you can, then walk until you can run again. Just don't overwhelm yourself and do too much. Take it slow. Do cardio one day, and some strength (push…
  • My goals are to keep up with my exercises. Not have a gain at my weigh ins (Once every Thursday). And to be able to run for at least two minutes straight.
  • Run/walk outside! Or run/walk in place in your living room. Maybe to one of those workout DVDs Or do something different and dance or something. Or switch it up an do some weights or something. I don't go to a gym, and the only exercise 'machines' I use at home are 2 3lb weights ;) you don't need a gym, you just need to…
  • If you're REALLY craving it. Let yourself have a small bit of it. Indulge and savor that small. Trying to avoid it usually only ends up you eating everything else except that. That's what I do :) You just have to remember not to have too much, only a little. The first bite always tastes the best anyway
  • Bellydance Parkour Some kind of martial arts All these things have always interested me :) Edit: And since it's been mentioned, fencing sounds fun too. Or some kind of sword fighting. XD
  • No one says you have to be a babysitter. But when someone is cheering that the 'n00bs' are gone... Would you want to go to a gym where, if you lost your motivation; instead of someone trying to help you get back into it and not give up, they /cheer/ about you being gone? That's like cheering that notice 'so and so hasn't…
  • This right here is why I don't go to gyms. Everyone says don't don't worry about what other people think, they're there to exercise, just like you. But it's human nature to judge others. I'm better off exercising on my own, where there's no one around to judge me, but me.
  • I remember reading somewhere, that taking a five minute walk, every hour that you sit will greatly increase your circulation, and therefore (most likely) your lifespan
  • Wow. I thought MFP was suppose to be supportive. Anyway, Awesome job (y) Kudos to you :3 I cut it out for a few months... then I got dragged back in lol.
  • 2 lbs a week maybe too much. I know it'd suck to only be able to lose 1 a week, but it is safer and at least you're not gaining or staying the same, right? Use the calorie recommendation the doctor gave you, if it's too much to not lose anything, then talk about that when you go to your next appointment. Do eat back your…

  • Feel free to friend me if you want :flowerforyou: And make sure your husband knows how much that hurt you >:| It really isn't cool to say that kind of stuff to anyone, especially the person you're married to. But good for you to come here, anyway! And a fasting really won't do much, from what I've researched. What you want…
  • Yes, you should eat back your exercise calories. What you have as your daily goal/limit is a little less than what your body needs to do it's normal, every day functions, like Breathing blinking and pumping blood. If you exercise and leave your body with 300 calories, your body doesn't have enough energy to do those…
  • Here's the first step to getting anywhere. Don't worry about WHAT you eat, worry more about how much you eat. Now, obviously, it IS important to eat healthy, and that is something to work for. Mostly that just means, cut out the pop sugar and grease. I am obese as well and when I got started on this, I had more intention…
