Hesn - Yay for fractional plates! I am tempted to pick some up. I went in BEFORE work today (for the first time ever!!!!) to workout. I squated 75x5x5, failed on the bench (60x5x4x4x4x3) and rowed 60x5x5. My form still sucks on the row. I also noticed during OHP and again on bench today that my left side is considerably…

Thanks Lorina. I had the beta version so it was hard to figure out. I switched back to the original photobucket and was able to resize.

Well, I went to the gym to do my workout today...went at 8 hoping it would be dead. It was pretty busy but most people were either going to yoga or doing cardio. I went straight to the empty power cage and noticed all the men folk getting curious. Anyways, I did warmups and 70x5x5; new pr for squats. Then I moved to…

I decided that it wouldn't be a good idea; picked up some lo fat ricotta and real mozzarella instead. If I am going to make an indulgent meal, it might as well taste good!

Oooh this one irritates me! A couple of years ago, I went to Red Robin with the hubs and the MIL. I decided to be "healthy" (this was before I was on MFP) and get a salad while everyone else got burgers and fries. While we were waiting on our food, I was browsing the Nutritional Info pamphlet on the table. I want to know…

I was at Costco and needed to grab some beer, but all the cases were stacked really high - over my head. I just decided it was like an overhead press and went for it. Too easy, lol. A few weeks ago, I would have just went for a different brand so I wouldn't risk dropping a case of bottles!

Crap, how do I resize?

Hey ladies, Great job with your lifting! I am off again today but itching to get back to lifting (I lift Su-Tue-Thu). I will be starting week 3 with workout B, which means I have to *gasp* actually use my gym membership as I maxed out my little barbell set at 105 on deadlifts. I am kind of nervous about going, as I usually…

Your lats and rear look amazing! We have similar bodies and that's part of the reason I decided to lift...you results were too impressive to ignore! You mentioned somewhere about have a large ribcage - me too! My husband kids around that the bottom ribs stick out more than my small chest...making it look like my boobs are…

It will be three years in April that I have had Merina. I have never had kids, so getting it inserted was the worst pain I have ever felt. I almost passed out. I cramped really bad for a couple of weeks and bled nonstop for about four month. I still spot randomly...all the time. I have bought nothing but black underwear…

Hi guys! Tonight will be my last workout of workout of Week 2. Squats were pretty hard at 60lbs the other night, so fingers crossed I can complete them at 65 tonight. I am still trying to figure out the correct way to Row...any pointers? It feels all awkward.

So, I am an idiot. It was pointed out to me that NROL4W's "fat loss" calories are pretty much equal to maintenance calories. So, I thought I was eating at a large cut, when in reality, its a 5% deficit. Mystery solved. I am still interested in everyones' results though!

bump, I <3 soup!

I am in the same exact boat. Followed NROL4W, eating like it recommended....got stronger, but no physical change. Switched to SL 5x5, two weeks in...no change. I just posted pretty much this same thing over in the SL 5x5 for Women forum. It is super frustrating. I don't really have any weight to lose, but I would like to…

Lizzie, Thanks - I don't know if I could do paleo though. If you take a peak at my diary, I seem to keep my carbs under 150 on most days already, just eating how I normally eat. I do focus on my protein and find it very easy to get my daily protein goal, most of the times going over.

Tameko, Thanks for the input but I have been lifting and eating like this for a while - I am a NROL4W transfer, finished up Stage 1 and ate at fat loss. So that puts me 8 weeks into heavy lifting and eating at a deficit. I stil lhave been able to make strength gains, but I don't know if its just because I started too light…

Hi! I just switched over from NROL4W to SL on 10/23. I really liked Stage one of NROL and have did most of stage one during the summer, and then restarted after vacation and completed it. I had a lot of trouble moving up in my squats especially. I <3 SL, as I was able to squat 55x5x5 last night, which is the most I have…

Thanks guys, you have been really helpful. I guess I will eat at maintenance to finish out stage one of the program, hoping to take advantage of noOb gains. Then during stage two I will focus on eating a bit more. On the subject of food...how is my diary looking? I know its to totally clean or anything, and I like craft…

Good catch! I will try playing with it some to see if I get a more positive time frame!

I tried this...it said to lose 10 pounds, I would have to keep at it for 91 weeks. In order to lose 5lbs and 3% BF, I am looking at almost a year?!

Thank you so much! The Spaetzle sounds soooo good. Have you ever tried making spaeztle with whole wheat flour? Also, how many servings does this make?

Annie Chun's Wasabi are a favorite snack of mine! My husband says that he thinks they are gross, but he always ends up eating them when I am eating them. Satisfies my chip cravings.

Hey Everyone, Long time lurker. I almost completed Stage 1 (May-July) but got side tracked with traveling and vacation and wedding and whatnot. I have restarted it and am trying to focus more on form than weights this time around. I felt like last time, I was making significant weight gains, but my form was meh. So, here's…

The meal plan is what I love most about the trainer. When I was toying with NROL4W, I tried eating right, but it was hard. Jamie's plan makes it really simple, as its almost like a formula. It has been very easy to stick with (I don't mind eating the same thing for lunch). A lean protein, a starch, and veggies. Throw in…
