No, I just ate what I wanted as long as I met my calorie, protein, carb and fat goals.

Happy New Years everyone! Hope we all hit some amazing goals this year. I took about 10 days off over the holidays due to crazy work schedule and just being lazy...I had been at it hard for about 4 months and needed a break. I ate whatever I wanted, didn't work out and checked the damage this morning. Only up 1.3lbs...not…

I third this moisturizer. I love it so much!

My goal is to do all these lifts for reps. I set my first goal when I began heavy lifting in October and since I am close to that, I set a second goal for 2013: Deadlift: Current: 160lb First Goal: 175lb Second Goal: 2x Body Weight, so around 250lb Squat: Current: 100lb First Goal: Body Weight, 125lb Second Goal: 1.5x Body…

A Glock .26, plus the holster and magazine pouches to go with it.

Can't post pics of mine, as I am at work, but I have a Greyish '05 Mustang GT. She is my baby. Looks like this one, but with chrome five spoke wheels and red calipers: I named my new puppy Shelby, if thats any indication of what car I would like to get next. Edited to add the red calipers, its a nice touch ;)

Weird, I always thought that the best way to shed water weight was to just stay hydrated. Water is free.

Great work!

Only a two pound difference in the photos, but I am working on body composition (not weight loss) through heavy lifting. I am 5'6.5". HW: 140 CW: 124 GW: None. I am happy with my body now and any more improvement through training and healthy eating is just icing on the cake.

Sometimes I feel that way! However, I have managed to refrain myself long enough to make it home and post it all over MFP, lol! Making those big lifts feels great!

@Vegas - Great workout! I think you might be smoking crack though to add HIIT after weights. I tried that, once. I will save my cardio for non-weight days, as I feel like it helps relieve some of the DOMS. @Tameko - I did mention the tight money thing already and that's when he mentioned working on his off time. I guess I…

Great job! I love seeing these posts!

I picked up some Levis demi curve jeans with the exact same height and measurements as you. They fit like a glove and are my go to dressy jeans (very dark wash). VS low five flap pockets have done wonders for enhancing my butt as well.

I sort of follow this approach; not all week, but I sometimes log a couple days in advance. Mostly though, I just log a day ahead. The reason being, for myself, is I eat a lot of the same thing during the work week. Or, I have certain perishable grocery items that I am trying to use up. It helps take the guess work out of…

I am 5' 6.5", 124lb and my latest pair of Levis Skinny Jeans were a size 27.

I started with New Rules of Lifting for Women. Good read, but too complicated for a beginner, imo. I moved to Strong Lifts 5x5. Love it, seeing great gains. Really good beginner program. Next up is a specific program put together by my personal trainer consisting of the main compound lifts and a couple isolation moves…

Everyone is working so hard; its really inspiring and motivating! I am so glad I found this group! I met with my trainer (session 2 of 3) bright and early this morning. He still deviated a little from SL, by setting up a squat day and a dead day to alternate. With the added accessory work, he's hoping to help bring up the…

Great job!! I can't wait to get to your numbers! You are awesome!

I wanted to share this with anyone who needs to strengthen their hamstrings. I found a video of the exercise that my trainer had me do today to really isolate the hamstrings. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poj-jX7-6Ho

What will you be doing now? So, I met with the trainer today. He hasn't heard of SL 5x5 and wants me to bring it in. He said it sounds pretty solid and he doesn't really want to fix something that isn't broken, but he would like to drop squats to twice a week. He said my form looked pretty good with squats, but I do need…

Aww...we will miss you! Good luck with re-focusing your efforts and hope to see you back soon!

@lorina - You are a beast. I can't wait to report those kind of gains! I broke down and bought three sessions with a personal trainer. Merry Christmas to me! I really didn't want it to get to this point, but I want to lift HUGE and therefore safely. With my squats getting the best of me and not being able to progress, I…

I started with New Rules for Women, the book was very informative and well worth the read. I did Stage One twice, but found Stage Two and beyond to have too many moves to where I would have to run back and forth around the gym to do my supersets. I switch to SL 5x5 and really like the simplicity of it. I am in my seventh…

I am supposed to hit the gym after I get off work in the morning. I have read more articles on back squats trying to figure out the cause of my back pain. I need to try to get a video of squats so I can get some form checks, but not sure I will be able to get one, as my phone is usually dead by the end of my shift. My SI…

I started at home with a small (100lb) weight set that I got off Amazon. I started at 45 for the squat, bench, row, and overhead press. I started at 95 for the deadlift. For the warmups, I did body weight only for the first few sessions, as the work weight was so low. How do you know that you cannot deadlift 95? Have you…

Today's workout was poo-poo. I am starting to feel the effects of my shift change and lack of sleep. A few more weeks of flip-flopping around are in my future though :grumble: . I got back up to 100lb on my squat, but I still feel like my form suffers as soon as I break triple digits. I really have to fight to keep my…
