I'm on level 3 day 7, yeah it's really hard, but i t's doable, even for a 58 year old like me. I can see a real difference in my stomach and everyone that I've seen that stuck with it has seen big results.

I'm Level 3 Day 6 and I still have to do the girlie push-ups on my knees, but at least I can push farther down than I could in Level 1. And my daughter complained yesterday when she laid her head on my shoulder that it's not so comfy anymore because fat's gone and it more muscle.

That's so neat!

Yeah, the first 2 or 3 days are pretty rough, but after that you start getting more stamina. Level 2 and 3 are more challenging (I still have to do mostly modified). I think the general consensus is to do the shred 2 days, then cardio, shred 2 days, cardio, then take a rest day. I didn't take pictures before I started, but…

I enjoyed using mine when I first started exercising every day. It got me off the couch and the island cycling (on the wii fit disc) toned up my rear and legs a lot. It also has improved my balance a lot (I don't trip over my own feet anymore) But now that I've lost about 30 pounds and got into more vigorous exercising, I…

To Miriameam: Don't feel daunted about sitting there trembling after the 1st day. I think that happens to everyone, unless they're already used to doing really vigorous exercise. If you can, take a nice warm soak tonight. If it's just sore muscles (and not something that feels worse) make sure you do another day tomorrow.…

Weight Watchers Ice Cream Candy bars are only 140 calories and really yummy!

I started 30 DS back in October. I did all 10 days of Level 1 straight and didn't see much improvement. For Level 2 I decided to do shred, shred, cardiac and started losing weight again. Tomorrow will be my first day of Level 3. Someone suggested drinking chocolate milk after working out to help from getting so sore. I…

To the OP, great job! To zoewedd- don't be discouraged. If you've lost 34 lbs, that's a great too. No matter how long it took you to lose it, it's still progress. I'll bet it took you longer to gain that weight than it did to lose it.

Very good!

I'm waiting until I finish the 30DS to post a picture.

By the third day or so the soreness goes away. Then you start getting all this energy that makes getting through it sooooo much easier. Good luck and keep it up!

Kudos!

You are amazing not just for the weight loss, but how you have communicated that journey. Congratulations!

I found a thread where a lot of other gals were doing the 30 day shred (Jillian Michaels). I got the DVD and I've been following their progress and comparing what they are going through with what I'm doing. That way I know what to expect for things like when the soreness will go away, when it starts getting easier, when…

I hadn't really drunk tea much until I read another thread about tea a week or so ago that got me craving it, soI picked up Twinings pumpkin spice chai at World Market and some peppermint tea. The chai is really yummy with a dab of creamer in it.

You're doing great! You are definitely an inspiration to us all!

It really does get easier. I'm half way through level 2 - You're not going to let a 57 year old woman show you up, are you?

Tomorrow will be my day 7 of Level 2, I'm doing shred, shred, cardio, shred, shred, cardio, the past 4 days I've finally started losing again! Plus NSV - I walked past a mirror before changing out of my sports bra. I can see abs - just a tiny glimmer - but more than I've seen in probably close to 30 years.

I was the opposite. I'd been keeping all my favorite clothes from back when I wore smaller sizes up in the attic. I took bags and bags of clothes to Goodwill when I cleaned the attic out last November, December. Since then, I've lost 25 pounds and I could have actually worn some of the dresses now. When I get to my goal…

You are my hero! To do all that with health challenges - that is wonderful!

I did all 10 days of the first level with no rest days and only lost a little over an inch total with no weight loss. For the second level, I decided to go shred, shred, cardio, shred, shred, cardio, rest to see if that made a difference. I did day 4 (level 2) yesterday, so today was cardio. I decided my wii just wasn't…

I did weight watchers online about 10 years ago. It worked ok but unless it has improved a lot since then, MFP is a lot better and free to boot.

On the Red Cross web site they have a section where they can tell you where you give your zip code, a mileage range and a date range and they tell you all the drives in that area. Maps and everything. Then you can make an appointment. Makes it really easy. I like to go to this one church nearby that always has homemade…

You're REALLY a southern gal

wow, I wish I looked that good at 176:smile:

Ok, I'm kinda bummed. I finished level 1 yesterday and I was really pumped to compare measurements. I was really careful noting my beginning measurements. I'm barely down an inch total. I wasn't expecting to lose weight at first (and didn't) so that didn't bother me so much. I made myself go ahead and do the first day of…
