I absolutely adore ellipticals, but if you want something that will make you really sweat, try a "Tread Climber" They have two little treadmills, one for each foot. It's kind of like a treadmill/elliptical/stepper hybrid. I think it's by BowFlex. I've never had a better workout on a machine.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. It doesn't appear to be enabled on the iPad app as of yet. There are a few things you can only do on the actual website and this seems to be one of them.

If you have an older iPad without a camera, you will not have the scanner. It needs the camera to work.

Be sure you are checking the serving size as well...although most people put in the amount for one serving, occasionally you'll come across counts for a smaller serving size than usual, say a half cup instead of a cup.

I am 5'10" and my goal is 175. That's realistic for me. If I get down a little lower, that's great, but never I let anyone else's goals influence my own. You have to do what is right for you, not someone else.

I just wanted to say there are some great replies in here. It's all about learning how to eat right, getting a feel for how much your body needs.

I feel just awful if I don't eat a little protein before I work out. I get light-headed and wear out a lot quicker. Each person is different so experiment and see what works for you.

Distract yourself. Make yourself too busy to snack. You might even forget the food is there.
