Well, I definitely eat, and I'm intrigued by your piano in the background, not to mention the beautiful concert gown you are wearing! I graduated with a piano performance degree long time ago and currently director a choir. MFP has me at 1330 cals/day, I usually earn between 300-400 calories from exercising daily and I eat…

SLOW DOWN. It's not a race. And you might find that the dreaded day 3 of Week 6 is doable at a slower pace, which is a good thing to find out since intervals are gone from Week 7 on. You're working for endurance right now. Speed will come later.

I quit on September 1 and noticed within the first 24 hours that my heart rate monitor was recording a much lower heart rate for me during exercise. Like we're talking a 20 bpm difference. I had to ramp up my effort in order to burn the same amount of calories during my workouts! On the plus side, quitting also gave me…

Why aren't you a fan of Exhilarate? I just purchased that set. Haven't tried it yet (it scares me, lol), but it's waiting for me.

I think I've figured out what an MET is: is it "metabolic equivalent?" In my googling I found a calculator that might help: http://lamb.cc/calories-burned-calculator/ It lists the following MET values: Physical Activity MET Light Intensity Activities < 3 sleeping 0.9 watching television 1.0 writing, desk work, typing 1.8…

I did my Day 1 of Week 6 and the route I took landed me at the bottom of the biggest mother of a hill for my third and last interval. I couldn't make it up jogging as my calves were on fire and a side-stitch from hell settled in. I had to back off to a fast walk. :frown: I think I'm gonna spend the rest of this week on the…

Will be doing Day 1 of Week 6 of the Couch to 5K after the sun goes down. I run at night because I don't want anybody to see me and think "fat lady running!" LOL. BTW, Day 3 of Week 5 nearly killed me, but I actually managed to run for 20 minutes straight. I'm relieved it's back to intervals tonight though.

I can see you're definitely losing tummy! Way to go and keep it up! :flowerforyou:

I think you should reconsider how you feel about that "tired, burning" feeling. Instead of worrying about it, revel in it. Your legs are working hard just as they were designed to! I heard once (not saying this as absolute truth, because I'm not a fitness guru), that tired legs means not enough oxygen is getting to them,…

I noticed you like almonds. Do you actually weigh out your almond portions, or do you just estimate? The only other thing I might suggest is to completely cut the alcohol from your diet. I mean completely. It could be making you retain water. Try it for a month and see what happens.

LOL, I needed to hear this. Day 3/Week 5 is happening for me tomorrow and I'm definitely scared!

I direct a church choir and have always been amazed at how hot and sweaty I get after a church rehearsal. I mean, I'm bopping on the podium all over the place, waving my arms around the entire time and really working, especially when we're doing gospel music with the drummer. I figured I *had* to be burning a least a…

You totally run away with my "Awesome Person of the Day". You ROCK!

Just finished C25K Week 4 tonight, and I KNOW I will have to quit smoking to finish all 8 weeks. I've set September 1 as my quit date, but I think it may happen earlier than that (like possibly this weekend). I quit in 2001 for 7 years, so I know it's possible. I'm hoping that the last two months of healthy eating and…

Then he followed it up with asking if I got my paycheck yet. Priorities, damn them.

Holy cow, I can't handle it when the temp is above 90°, can't even imagine 130°! What's the temperature like at midnight? Or is there a nice air-conditioned gym with a track available near you?

Does it hurt so much that even walking is painful? If not, and your shoes are good and supportive, I'd back off the running part and just walk the miles. Sometimes you need to build up that muscle in your legs and knees first. Also, I started biking on my off days and that seems to have helped tremendously in keeping…

WAY TO GO!!!!

I think you should do this. Honestly. And if you feel like it's going to make you feel guilty, don't drive to the picnic. Take a hike, or ride your bike and then ENJOY THAT AWESOME FOOD. I love it that your husband is on this journey with you. I wish mine was, but he's already so damn skinny.
