use Agave syrup or xylitol or real stevia. The others are full of chemicals not good for the body and can seriously mess you up. They are ok occasionally but the least side effect of splenda is to give you heartburn, enough said.

Wonderful, Fabulous and Amazing. Well done. You are an inspiration.

Just check if they are using a chemical sweetener. They are really, really bad for you. I read a book called "Sweet Poison" and it sure makes you aware that a lot of food companies are not ethical. I would only trust natural stevia, agave and xylitol because they are all made from real plants and are all low GI.

Aldis really is great. Their "be light" range of bacon is delicious. Everything is good value except maybe their individual packet soup portions (instant cup a soup). They are poor. They have great veg and I have enjoyed everything I buy their. There striploin steak is great, as is their free range chicken.

You Are Amazing!! Well done for all you have achieved in such a short space of time! Make sure you do get some wholegrains though, such as brown rice or oats or rye crackers. I am with you on the white bread and pastries. It happens to all of us that we have a period where we don't lose actual weight, but I bet if you take…

That really does suck about the black mould. And about your dismissive doctor. You should keep a printout of your food and exercise diary for a month and bring it along to show him. it won't be so easy to dismiss you then, I have some food intolerances myself( and a hysterectomy) and find that they seem to increase the…

Think about a course of colonic irrigation. It makes a huge difference and you can really see the difference in your skin afterwards, with all the toxins taken out of your body. I use cold pressed flaxseed. Be careful of too much wheat fibre, it can be really harsh on the system. Actually cut out wheat altogether for a…

Yeah, I have about 20lbs to go! Looking forward to hearing about Insanity!

If you have a smart phone, you can scan the barcode on the wrapper and that often gives you the answer. Otherwise, just browse through the database and find something similar. It takes a while to get used to and to build up a database of your own foods. It does help to be more organised and to pack lunch and snacks the…

Sounds to me that you are doing great first of all. Well done! You know, people don't want to say the wrong thing and probably believe they are being supportive. My own mother used to actually press more food on me if I said anything about wanting to diet. I think family can get a bit stuck themselves and when they see you…

Get fitted for good running shoes, but also make sure you really stretch in your warm ups and cool downs. I would do some basic stretching a few times a day. Also wear some ankle strapping to support them. Good luck and take care. You don't want an injury that will set you backwards. by the way, you don't look like you…

peri menopause is where I am right now too. I never lost my belly after the kids but it is even harder now to keep it under control. It is shrinking very slightly so I am encouraged. Anyone who needs encouragement, please feel free to add me.

Hi I joined in June, so if you want a bit of perspective and hear a little bit of success, please add me. I have two teenage kids and trying to get in shape.

Maybe you need to find out what she is she is getting from talking with this other guy? Everyone needs their friends, but if there is an emotional need that is not being fulfilled within the marriage, then you need to find out what it is and be the one who listens and is there for her. It could be completely harmless but…

I had it so bad for almost a year. I found Brent Abel (a tennis pro who had it also) on the internet, and he has a whole programme for recovering from it. It is the best thing I ever did, cost around €35 and I did it religiously every day. It took two weeks to really start working, (but I had put up with the pain for a…
