That's awesome! Can't wait until I'm feelin' the breeze too! :D

I have a dumb question. How do I access the group? I have never joined a MFG group before.

You can do it! Think of it like an addictive drug. You may think you want it right now, but it will have less and less appeal for you the longer you abstain. Buddhist author Thich Nhat Hahn talks about being mindful of which seeds you water with everyday choices. Make a conscious decision to water the seeds that nourish…

Thank you! My TOM is rapidly approaching, and the scale went up this morning. I know it's water and will be gone soon enough, but I kind of wanted to cry. Your post was the pep talk I needed to hear today. :)

Sometimes when I get stuck, I start incorporating longer and longer sprints into my walking routine. Even when I'm eating back all my exercise cals, something about running seems to give my body permission to use up more of its reserves. Unfortunately, I've never been crazy about running and it takes me forever to get past…

Lol! My thoughts exactly!!!

Please do add me! I'm 5'3" and would like to lose around 30 lbs before summer. SW: 181 lbs CW: 172 lbs GW: 140 lbs

Wow. People really suck sometimes, don't they? I have a really thin friend who--perhaps, subconsciously--jumps at every opportunity to emphasize the difference in our sizes. Here's an example. Me:"Brrr...it's cold in here!" Her: "Do you want to borrow a sweater? Oh, wait. I don't know if I have anything that would fit…

This happened to me a lot when I first started back on this journey. I'd be fine all day, eating clean, balancing the macros, getting lots of fiber, drinking lots of water, eating right up to my calorie limit, and doing everything "right" and feeling fine, but as soon as I got into bed, my tummy would start growling. I…

When you grab the size 14 and the size 12 to try on and realize that you have to go back for the size 10.

Since I started logging again everyday, I've been taking note of the nutritional content of my food as well as the calorie content. I've noticed that I'm consistently not getting enough calcium, iron, and potassium and am now trying to find ways to change that. That means that I've begun focusing more on how I can get more…

Awesome! Great work! I loved watching the roll disappear on my back recently too. It's a great feeling! ;)

Omg. ^This! I cannot wait for this to happen for me. I've had to wear biker shorts under all my skirts and dresses for years now to prevent chaffing, and those lightweight summer fabrics tend to cling to anything but legs. It looks ridiculous, and I'm constantly having to pull my skirt down when I walk. My thighs are…

I've had people react to the fact that I'm cutting calories like they think I have an eating disorder...and I'm like, "yeah...I've been a compulsive snacker with almost no restraint for years, and my BMI was pushing from overweight into obesity territory. I think I'll be okay if I cut back for a while." It's frustrating…

I need more friends too. Sending you a request!

Requested to join the group. Hope it's not too late!

Proud of you for what you've overcome and how far you've come! I'm on a 1200 cal/day weight-loss regimen (eating back exercise cals) and eat an almost entirely plant-based diet (except for eggs and feta cheese from time to time). I have heard that this kind of plant-centric diet is ideal for those trying to avoid/heal from…

Sending a friend request your way. I log daily, and my diary is open. Almost 10 pounds into a 40-pound weight-loss journey!

Feel free to add me! Definitely looking for more motivated friends on here! Female 5'3" SW 181 CW 172 GW 140

I'm wanting my chin back...just the one chin, not its annoying little sister. lol ;) Feel free to add me.

Hi! I'm also about 7 pounds in...actually 8 now with the pound that was missing this morning. :) I would recommend measuring yourself every day. That way, you can see the changes before you can actually SEE them, if you know what I mean. The areas I measure are as follows: waist, underbust, bust, upper arm, upper hip…

I'm presenting at a conference at the end of March. I'm looking forward to being more comfortable in my own skin, especially while presenting new material in front of a number of giants in my field.

I noticed a few days ago that I no longer jiggle when walking up and down the stairs in my house. :D

I don't have any real travel hacks, but I do know that you burn a ton of calories packing, moving, and cleaning, so you may end up running a calorie deficit even if you eat a little more than usual. I know, because I'm in the process of moving and have been doing my homework. ;) Hopefully, that makes you feel a little…

Hi! I'm 5'3". My current weight is 175, and my goal weight is 140 (for now). Please do add me. I just got back on here a few weeks ago and need lots of new friends to help with motivation. I also just worked up the courage to open my diary, so you can see all the weird stuff I eat everyday. Woo! :P

Katy Perry. :) But, alas, I will be down three bra sizes when I reach my goal weight, so it isn't really in the cards, haha.

Though it's the last thing you probably want to do, walking can actually really help with cramping and bloating...if you can just get moving and suffer through the first few minutes. Walking and ibuprophen and hot baths...and chocolate, lol.

I also struggle with anxiety and depression, but I have found that, if I can just force myself to push through and go for that walk or take that bike ride, I end up feeling better. (I'm not on any medication, by the way.) Physical activity can be very meditative if you give it a chance, allowing you to sort through your…

I often struggle with this as well. One thing that sometimes helps is to find alternative activities to snacking. Work on a hobby that you can really get absorbed in, call an old friend or loved one who lives far away and catch up, work on that novel/ musical instrument/ sewing project/ or whatever you've been meaning to…

Thanks, elisa123gal! Also, batwings! Haha, I like that term better than bingo wings, I think!
