First of all, let me start off by saying that I am, in no way, trying to defend mayo. I think it is the most disgusting thing on the planet. BUT...don't a lot of Europeans enjoy eating french fries with mayo rather than ketchup? Carby Italian pastas and fatty French cheeses aren't exactly the most "diet-friendly" food…

Not to be too personal, but is it maybe close to your T.O.M.? My mind wanders when I work out, and when it's around that time for me, I will think of something random like, say, "feral cats colonies" or whatever and start getting weepy thinking of the poor little critters struggling to survive. I'm also usually grumpy and…

I always have this problem. I'm 5'2.5" and prefer to be at 125 lbs. However, my body really prefers to stay at 135 lbs. It's easy for me to lose down to that point...then, I plateau. I can live with that weight, but it's not where I feel most attractive. Right now I'm down to 138 from 146 and slightly dreading the usual…

I'm laughing right now, because so many of these responses indicate a strong preference for—BOTH—T & A...naturally, and at the same time. In reality, there are so few of us who are actually blessed with both in equal measure...unless they happen to emerge alongside an overgrowth of everything else. But alas, this is coming…

Oh no! My boobs are slipping away by the minute! LOL!

^^^I don't want to be ugly, and I still want us to be friends here on MFP...but this is not a political forum. Bringing your personal politics into an otherwise wonderful message of hope really muddied the waters. Let's all try to stay focused on the real message here...how we can all work together to share our experience,…

Today is my 30th day on MFP!!! 5'2.5" tall Body Shape: pear Age: 30 SW: 146 CW: 138 GW: 125 2.5" off my bust (36" to 34.5") ----> Kind of a bummer, but what are you gonna do? 3" off my waist (31" to 28") ----> :D 2.5" off my hips (39.5" to 37') ----> Muffin top is on its way out!!! Nothing off my thighs ----> Still a…

They don't sell it up here in Maine either. : / I might see if I can order it online and receive it through the mail. I really do miss it! LOL.

I've never successfully lost any noticeable weight (that didn't return right away) without upping my exercise. Believe me, I tried a bunch of diets...low-carb, vegan, etc...the list goes on. The worst diet was where I started out drinking nothing but leek soup for three days. Then I started riding my bike to work, cleaned…

That's a huge difference! Keep up the good work. :)

125 was always my best weight, but I'm also short (5'2.5"). I currently weight 139, down from 146. (I saw 138 on the scale this morning, but I'm not logging it until it's been about 4 days.) The lowest I got as an adult was 115 about 4 years ago, but I was in very poor health and not really eating much at all after my…

Some things I like to do when I'm not feeling particularly motivated: --Force myself to exercise even if I don't really feel like it, because once I get started, the endorphins kick in, and I suddenly feel happy and motivated again. This might just be something as simple as a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood.…

Definitely Daisycutter and Double Daisycutter Pale Ale from Half Acre Beer Company in Chicago.

Congrats! The "needing smaller undies" NSV will probably be my last one ever. My hips and booty stay put until the bitter end. ;)

Nice! I'm glad to know that my (moderate) maple syrup intake can be justified. I do live in Maine, after all.

^^^What this guy said. Get raw honey.
-
I use honey as a sugar substitute in coffee much of the time. I like to keep it around, because it has antimicrobial properties for wound care, helps sooth sore throats and boosts the immune system, ***helps to break down fat in your body,*** and has vitamin C and a few other vitamins and minerals as well. I would…

Logging my meals is the only thing that works for me. Otherwise, it's too easy to live in denial about what I'm actually putting into my body. Logging also has the added bonus that it makes me more keenly aware of my nutrition, which is just as important to me as my weight.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to lose weight just for vanity's sake. That's what always motivated me in the past. It's about 60% of my motivation now. However, unlike all the other previous times, I think I'm going to finally succeed in getting to the weight and fitness level I want, because around 40%…

About to turn 31 in a month. Add me if you like.

Nice work!

Wow! Just wow! What a difference. Lookin' good. :D

Nevermind. Someone already answered my original question. Why can't you delete your own posts on here? Sheesh.

Thought about it some more, and one more item I would like to buy and wear is a pencil skirt. I have never been able to wear one of those. I bought one for office job work clothes a couple of years ago, because there were no a-line skirts to be found anywhere that weren't too short and flimsy to be office appropriate.…

Love this NSV. I think that most of us are on here because we are striving to honestly assess our eating and exercise habits and find some kind of balance. That is the only way that we can ever get our sanity back when it comes to our relationship to food, etc...stop linking it to emotions like shame, guilt, and…

Something like this...to a club. I don't even like going to clubs, but I plan on going to one in something like this just because I can. :D

Very impressive! I can definitely see a difference. Keep up the good work!

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, then I spent a few years in Chicago, Illinois, and now I'm up near Bangor, Maine...can't seem to put down roots anywhere. :)

I have had cellulite on the back of my thighs since puberty...at every weight and fitness level between 115 and 150 pounds (I'm 5'3"). It used to bother me a lot, so I researched it like mad. The scientific literature all seemed to point to a genetic predetermination in some folks to have a weaker skin structure below the…

Thanks for the encouragement and info, guys! Feel free to add me if you like. We can all keep tabs on each other's pushup progress! :)
