They're also great for propping up the drawing board when I'm working in the kitchen instead of my studio. I may move up to 5# soon because it's a better incline. Progress, ya know? The #3 is great for propping the door open so the AC reaches the workout room!

I'm doing the one in Texas in December. Was going to do the one in Maryland last year but wasn't ready. I was skeeeerd!

This is kind of off track but I was sorting through some old family photos yesterday and I came across my mother's senior class photo....from 1950! There was not one overweight student in that photo (out 119 students) They came from a semi rural town in Virgina There was a Soda shoppe in that town but no fast food. Not…

I'm 5'7" and 155lbs. I'm wearing size 12 (US) comfortably. I haven't been an 8 since I weighed 125 lbs when I ran on the cross country team in college...lol How...in the.....whaaaa? Even at 135...which is my final goal, I'm pretty sure a 9/10 is the best I can expect

Michael Fassbender is going to direct and play Desmond Miles in Assassin's Creed (the movie). I'm having a really hard time not getting excited about this.

Don't compare yourself to those photos online. Especially if you're finding it hard to finish the first workouts. Just keep trying...do what you can and push yourself a little more each day but don't injure yourself. I started Insanity right after I quit smoking. I am 45 and have had a couple disc fusion surgeries in my…

My answer was almost exactly this except add sing at the top of my lungs to the activities.

After 25 years of smoking, I quit in January (after a particularly scary bout with bronchitis). I used the patches for one week and got aggravated by them falling off when I sweated. It was really really hard.....and really really worth the quit. My biggest fear about quiiting? Gaining weight. I gained 20 lbs in one…

I log binges but I often lose track if I stray off too far so I either just add a massive amount of calories with some outrageous made up food or I'll write something in the notes area about losing track. I'll sometimes go about 200 calories over which I don't consider a binge. I don't actually accidentally binge…

Not becoming a Rally Race Car Driver. That and not being able to remember why I smoked that first cigarette and why it wasn't my last. Everything is so much better without those b*tch*s.

EAT ALL OF THE CALORIES ALL OF THE TIME! failing to do so causes me to binge and that is worse than eating back exercise calories. Feed dat body.

Some of these were chosen because of Beats per minute were close to my running pace Monster-The Automatic Automatic The Future is Now-The Offspring One - Metallica Don't Stop Me Now- Queen Fast Girl USA - Jane Jenson Cool for Cats - Squeeze Wild Wild Life - Talking Heads Better Days - Citizen King I can't Win - The Strokes…

I always wanted to be a cartoonist or draw comics. I settled for a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration and have been doing it for over 25 years. In my next life I want to be a Rally Race Car Driver... Or a drummer in a hard rock band.

My tastes change so much as I get older. I'm afraid I would hate it after 5 years or so. The only thing that I have consistently liked for 20 years is Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter Cereal and I have considered having the Cap'n on my *kitten* but I think that might be a little over the top.

I do this too! Red grapes are better than green for this and I always rinse the chicken first because canned is usually loaded with sodium and preservatives.

^^^^^^hahah...this is my husband's philosphy exactly. He thinks I like superhero movies because of the heros' bods... in fact I am just a girl comic book geek.. (but lately the bods rock like crazy and OMG Idris is in Prometheus) So he's sorta right in his thinking and I can see ALLL the movies and have ALLLL the sex.…

You don't need a coach. A couple things you might want to be aware of: There's lots of jumping and running in place and these are important to the program so if you've had back problems or knee problems, this may not be the best program for you. I've had a couple discs fused from Kayaking injuries and I can't do the power…

Cardio is key in avoiding running zombies so I'm going to keep doing it 3 times a week at least. Thyroidbedamned!

I completely agree here. If it's interfering with time with your family and they're telling you they want you back then maybe trade up some of that Insanity for some time together, but hopefully they'll compromise as well. I can be obsessive about it all but I'm figuring out that balance is probably key.

I check most food against the label if available or another site when in doubt when it comes to logging food. I don't trust any of the exercise database because a 28 year old Man of 280 lbs is going to burn more calories then a 40 year old 140 lb woman doing the same exercise for the same amount of time. I've been wearing…

It's too hot! Things are melting outside. My rear-view mirror dropped off the windshield in self defense. I think I'll play Sims 3 all day and make my people run on treadmills and get really buff and then I'll wonder why I'm not losing any weight and try to figure out where the pizza crust and Mountain Dew cans next to my…

I bought a backpack cooler from Target and take it everywhere so I always have at least water and good snacks. When that runs out, I hit places that sell salads or Subway because they always have decent options.

I have the Michael Jackson Experience for the Wii and JUST got the BEP experience for the Kinect. There is no question that the Kinect version requires more accuracy and is more challenging but I think they are equally fun. I am about the worst dancer on this earth and still love all of those games. Kinect definitely knows…

Skip the first Zumba and go with Zumba 2. Any of the Just Dance games and EA Active2. While the game PUNCH OUT! is not billed as a fitness game, I use it with the Balance board and get a better workout than with EA Active sometimes!
-
I use a lot of the Fitness games for Wii or Xbox but if you have a smartphone there are apps that I like. My fav is the free Nike Training Club for women app. Free specific workouts from women athletes and you can earn more by logging minutes. No need to buy or upgrade or have a sensor. You can start and stop when you like…

I do Insanity, Wii Zumba2, Dance Central and Just Dance. I have never taken any classes but I think I'd dig cardio kick boxing. I used to do EA active 2 with xbox kinect but I broke the HRM. Nike has an awesome app for women called NTC (Nike Training Club) I use that for workouts when I'm not home or in a hurry.

I'm weighing in daily right now because I changed my diet as well as meal times to specific times during the day. I want to keep a log of everything including how many trips to the bathroom vs. how much water I drink etc. When I'm confident that things are going okay and my calories burned vs. calories eaten is more…

This will depend on what kayak you buy as to whether or not you will be able to upgrade the seat. Check this with a knowledgeable salesperson before you buy. I've never found a walmart to be helpful for kayaking gear. Depending on what part of the world you are in, some places have "try before you buy" days so you can try…

It's a tiny little "boot" so I can't fit much: Armour-all cleaning wipes, mini-hand vacuum cleaner A charger for something I probably don't own anymore and a bug-out bag for when the zombies come (i'm only half joking about that last one...hurricanes are more likely than zombies I suppose)
-
If you decide to buy the Zumba for Wii, I would just suggest you get Zumba 2 because it's so much more fun than the first one. Both will do the trick but you can start with 2 no problem.
