I'm 5'1, and my final goal is 145. My current goal is 160. I was down to 155 fairly recently and was pretty happy with that.

Also, have fun! It is my favourite work out and I don't find Chalean annoying more motivating than anything.

I've completed the strength training portion of CX and for the first round, I used 5 lbs, 8lbs, 10lbs, and 15lbs. The most I used were the 8lbs and the 15lbs for lower body. When I moved into phase 2 I had to get 12 lbs, and I think 20lbs weights, but for phase 3 the sets are complex so I didn't need anything higher than…

I agree, bad runs can just happen from time to time. Don't worry you haven't lost it. I found that hydrating throughout the week with some electrolytes helps a bit when the temp gets up there.

This is what I do, I've been eating about 200-300 over the recommended calories of 1200 each day, which keeps me not hungry. Then the days when I burn a lot of extra calories it all even's out over the week. I don't actually like the daily idea unless you are someone one trying to maintain. I prefer to use the extras…

This is exactly what I was thinking. It's more about how it will evolve into your future.

Don't be too tough on yourself if it doesn't work that quickly! I have epic work out days too and the site tells me the same thing, but all of my days aren't the same, so it all averages out. It is great motivation to get that confirmation that you are heading in the right direction but I don't want you to get discouraged…

I love hearing about the "other" side effects of losing weight and getting healthy. It is so great to hear that you are living a pain free life now! There isn't anything more motivating than that.

I have Adidas Adistar salvations, now the newer models are more money, but I recently purchased a salvation 2 from an Adidas outlet for $60 and they are great. I run in them and overpronate a lot and they seemed to have helped me. http://www.adidas.com/us/product/womens-running-adistar-salvation-3-shoes/TD657

I lost over 120lbs by 2008, and I've let some of it creep back on but I'm only 9lbs away from where I got down to before. I did both consistently. The cardio helps you with burning calories but I feel like the strength training helped the most because there are so many more benefits to it besides weight loss.

How exercise effects your body is related to only how your body reacts to it. If you consistently run you're likely build your muscle in your legs which will make them tighter, but you can't spot reduce fat. So running won't make you lose fat in your legs only, unless that is normally where you lose your weight from.

Scott that is some great advice. I have been running as a hobby for almost 2 years but had to take a break and now I'm about 4 months back into it. I actually found that I was over training at first going to far too fast. I ended up injuring my hip and could barely walk for 3 months and it took 6 months to heal. At that…

Wow lot's of Canadian's. I'm from north of Toronto. Mount Albert. I've not used the community but I've been tracking my food and excercise with myfitness pal for a couple weeks. So far so good. It's nice to have an ap on my phone that I can quickly update all day on the go.
