I'm almost 61, have been logging almost 2 years. I've lost 95 pounds. (See profile pic).... No excuses! Just do it. Log accurately, be persistent and patient and you'll succeed.

I live in FL so no recommendations for snow shoes, but I have cross country skied in Vail, CO and it was AMAZING. Actually skied to the grocery store a time or two! Fun!!!

What motivates me are all the small sized clothes that I am now wearing that I spent a lot of $ on. I can't afford (nor do i want) to buy a new wardrobe in a larger size!

Well, when I use to my my yard (push mower) when I was 95 pounds heavier I could hardly walk the next day. Now when I mow my yard AND my neighbor's yard, I'm just a little sore the next day. Maybe the lighter you get the less you'll hurt?
