1. I think it's up to preference. My mom, my sister, and I all have problems eating breakfast and always have because it just makes us super nauseated. I usually wait until about an hour or so after I'm awake to eat. My breakfast and my dinner are the same amount of calories. 2. It's never linear. Some weeks I'll lose 3lbs…

When I first started using MFP it took me over a month of eating at or under the correct amount of calories to lose any weight at all. I was extremely frustrated, but I held on until it started to work. Then after 8 months I added exercising in because I had lost 45lbs just counting calories, but I wanted to lose more and…

Oh, I didn't have an option to set a deficit. Mine just follows MFP and takes it's info from there.
-
It automatically gives you a deficit of 750 calories? My Fitbit One only gives me a deficit if I reach a certain amount of steps and floors walked.

It's hard when people are trying to sabotage you. I have a lifelong eating disorder and people DO NOT understand that my food phobias are serious. They also don't understand that I am super serious about my diet. I get lots of eye rolls and sighing when I say that I can't eat whatever because it's too many calories. You…

I'd look like a VS model if it did!

No although people do it to me all the time and I hate it.

I keep a budget down to the letter and 99% of the time eating out doesn't fit. It helps me keep honest and I lose my desire to want to eat out at all.
-
You can add me! :) I started at 204 and I'm now at 154.

I never record my weight unless I've lost! Also, I have a major addiction to DQ so I avoid it at all costs even though all I want is a Blizzard.
-
You look great! :)

I feel like that for the first few hours after I wake up. I have never been able to eat in the mornings because I feel nauseated. My mom and sister are the same way, so it must be a family thing.
-
You look great! That is a lot of progress for 8 days!

I knew it would take forever, but it does get frustrating! After a really hard workout or when I'm getting hangry I do think I should just look perfect for torturing myself, lol.
-
I would think it depends more on metabolism than height. I'm 5'9 and I have a rough time losing weight. I also have PCOS though, so that might make a difference.

Because fat shaming is the new cool thing to do.

I annoy my coworkers and my family because I am so careful about what I eat. I usually eat before I go places and I make sure I go to the gym after work at least 4-5 days a week. I have gotten comments because if I do go out to a restaurant and eat something different than normal I will go straight to the gym after to make…

I have rosacea and when I work out my face is dark red and I look like someone burnt me. It makes me very self-conscious. I just tell myself that it's temporary and will fade once I cool down and sometimes I'll go splash water on my face.
-
I'm so sorry that happened to you! I think you handled the situation gracefully and with tact. I probably would have turned dark red and started crying. People just do not think before they speak. I understand he thought he was doing something good, but there are better ways to do things than embarrass a person in front of…

I have barely any clothes left. I finally just bought a new pair of jeans so I at least have those. I don't have a lot of money after paying my mortgage and other bills, so I slowly buy things. I have been trying to replace my work uniforms since we don't get an allowance for them and all my shirts could fit 2 people in…

I think as long as you are working out, it doesn't matter. I go after work at 730am and on my nights off I go around 530am. I'd never be able to go before work because I'm just too tired when I wake up.

When I was in cardiac rehab for my dysautonomia they had me use the upper body cycle, nustep machine, rower, recumbent elliptical bike, and weights. A lot of the people there who were recovering from heart attacks and heart surgery and were obese loved those machines because they didn't kill their knees or their feet and…

I'll try your weekly deficit approach and see if it helps! That may be a something that works. I have seen many therapists throughout my life and even attempted an eating disorders clinic because I've had one since I was a toddler. You can read information about that here if you want to know more:…

I do agree that the forums are great! I hope that you are successful and don't have to worry about relapsing with your ED! :)

I do that too. I count everything out and I won't buy anything that's over 160 calories at a time so I can make sure that I stay within my limit. I get a lot of weird looks at work because if a package says that 17 pretzels = 50 calories then I will count out 17 pretzels.

You sound like me with the extra gym time. I went out to eat with coworkers after work a few weeks ago and I ended up doing an extra hour at the gym because I went over my allotment by like 100 calories. It's hard not to panic, especially when you've worked so hard to lose weight and you don't want to gain any back.
-
I'm sorry you deal with it too! It's hard!
