I use the manta ray collar to help distribute the weight--esp. important as the weight has increased over time.

Your burns at 250 are what I burn. I am 48 5' 148 lbs, I use the same weights as you.

Store a cut avacado (rarely do I eat the entire thing at one sitting), in a baggie with a cut (halved) onion. The onion helps the avadado last much longer. (Store in the fridge)

Hi, I'm pretty new to lifting weights, been at it for a little over 2 months, one month on a program called 5x5 stronglifts. It's a good way to get a full body workout in a timely manner. Coupled with the hiit cardio work or classes, I think you'd be hitting all the bases. It is in the weight area where the guys usually…

We use dry food, Evo, small bites--I think they make a puppy chow. I like it because there is no filler and it's pretty high in protein. Our Corgi's not a big dog, so he gets the same amount 1/3 Cup 2x daily as he did when a pup, but we also do give high quality treats, like Stella and Chewy's....he has lots of rawhide…

Really simple marinade and broil to your likeness on doneness--I like med rare for Tuna. 2TBS splenda 1TBSP soy sauce 1/8 tsp molasses 1TBSP rice vinegar Maybe some parsely on it when done.

I don't think weight machines are bad at all. Especially if you have strength imbalances. Start your work outs on weight machines, but use your arms individually, and also your legs to begin to equalize. You can also do one legged squats with no weights to help equalize. I had a big imbalance, still struggle with it, but…

Good work!-You look great!

Sorry, no practical advice on how to use the Bowflex for 5x5, but I do think they are effective, use a workout from the bowflex site if they have them. If not, put together your own, with standard splits, back/chest, tri's/bis, etc. I have a Bowflex, too--have not used it much, have lacked space, primarily. Good luck.

Weighted Squats, plus calorie deficiet, time.

My first clue was internet research, and stumbling across Stronglifts 5x5's. Lots of useful info, and video and the program looked really doable, mainly because it looked like I could get in and out in an hour. 3x a week. Then I hired a trainer. I work out on my lunch hour, and for many of the moves (benchpress, in…

Really interesting thread. I've been doing 5x5 for 1 month. I think my progress is good, and I think my scale weight loss has slowed, but fat composition and movement have picked up. I do 2 Stronglifts a week, 1 circuit day, and 2-3 days of 25-30 min cardio usually hiit. I might pick up a body pump class or yoga in there…

I can clearly see your weight loss--way to go!

Thanks for the info, I definitely have a tilt in the uterus. Not feeling any signs of prolapse I will build kegels into my day, and hope that helps. Today I lifted with no issues at all. Last week it was everytime. No on pregnancy. Today's work out, even though weight was increased over last week, I was able to complete…

Wonderful job! You look terrific--thank you so much for sharing.:flowerforyou:

Thanks, I might try, was hoping for a group of women audience, since I am female and also doing 5x5 stronglifts--thought we'd have more of a common ground. As the cramping feeling is increasing with all excerise, not just stonglifts now, maybe it's time. If I do win the lottery, I'll share.
-
Wow..never thought I was that unique....should I play the lottery?
-
Wow! Good job, and congratulations!

Way to go! Dealing with Chronic pain and not wantint to end up completely disabled is what has driven my desire to change--it's a big motivator. It's wonderful to gain back control of your own body!

Mine seems to do that too....

Exactly how I would put it! Great work!

Please check out this review of Wheat Belly.http://noglutennoproblem.blogspot.com/2012/03/wheat-belly-busted.html I'm not saying you need to throw the book out, but not everything you read is true. That said, I have been dairy and gluten free for 2 months due to allergies and inflammation. One of the interesting side…

Lauren Brookes is RKC certified, explains and demonstrates really well the basic moves. She recommends a starting weight for most women of 15lbs. DVD's avail on Amazon. She has a 12 min and a 40min work out on one DVD. Very Effective, I can now finally do 1 12 min work out, and am just starting to be able to do a 2nd 12…

Really awesome results, wish my weight loss could be as quick. Very Inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing.

Yes, it's all in your head. You look terrific, you are not disgusting or any other negative term. I can really see a difference those 15 pounds have made, keep it up.

I used to weigh and log everyday, but have recently started just logging about 1x weekly, still weighing pretty much every day.
