You are kidding , right? MIL problems!?!?! Mine hardly even speaks to me or my kids, she only has eyes for her "baby boy"!! GAG! He is almost 50, the middle child, and his "babies" are now teenagers. Whenever she comes over she complains about the food I serve and stays so close to my husband I feel like an outsider in my…

My thoughts are 1. DO NOT eat under you calorie goal! The baby is taking calories away from you already and you do not want you body to start taking from your bone and muscle mass to make up the calories. If you watch what you eat and stay hydrated, with regular exercise the weight will start coming off on it's own. 2. I…

So by "switch it up" is that as simple as changing the order in which they are done?Legs first today then cardio, switch tomorrow. Or is it more completely change the type of exercise every few weeks?
-
I agree, sometimes you have to give in a little. Make smarter choices, dip fruit in dark chocolate, or get single serving things like kisses or something. I wonder if those "experts" that say you only need three bites of something were men? I don't know ANY women around TOM that would agree with that! LOL =)

All sounds good!

Yes, 2oz of most things would be about 1/4 cup. I am pretty sure it is talking about 2oz dry pasta which when cooked is about 1 cup. Hope that helps =)

That is a great idea! I think I may change my goal and pick a size myself 8~)

Angel food cake, cool whip free and fresh strawberries!

Well, I don't think anyone should be able to tell you what your goal wt should be. For me personally, I know that when I was about 175-180# I was a size 14 (American) and felt great about myself. According to all the charts I should be 148-153, (5'7" female, small boned) but I have been down to 160# and looked like death…

You need the wt training, esp if you are a woman, you need it for bone health down the road and to help build lean muscle. It is hard for a woman to "bulk up" you would have to be working toward that goal. sounds like you are doing just right, keep it up =)

I was having the same problem! Was starving at night and going over my limit. I found my fix last week and so far it is working well. PROTEIN and lots of it! Plus I am eating 2-3 servings of fruit with breakfast, and 2-3 serving of veggies with lunch and supper. No added carbs that do not come in my fruit or veggies. I…

I hear you! I am a nurse and some days you can not stop. This may sound lame but I have just found protein bars, the real ones with 17 - 20gm of protein per bar, they will keep in your desk and add a bottle of water and I am full for hours!!!

I would think that as long as it fit in your calorie AND carb allowence it should be ok every now and then. That said, alcohol is a depressant and does slow down ALL, actions and activity in the body. Bottom line is how bad you want it?
-
Yes , if you do not want to send yourself into starvation mode you need to eat them. MFP says that the number of calories you need to lose wt based on your daily living, if you add exercise you have to add calories.
-
Yes please, do not take any more than a multivitamin without talking to your Doctor. To much potassium can affect the heart in a neg. way.
-
You look great, and give hope to the rest of us!

I see a big difference! Keep it up! We tend to have a mental block to the mirror ( at least I do) I don't see myslef as fat untill I got to buy clothes or see a picture, then again i don't see myself as thinner either until I do those things.
-
you are not crazy you do feel more hungry when you eat breakfast, when you "Break your fast" you body is ready to get charged up. I Have never been a breakfast eater either but for me what seems to work best is load up on protein and carbs that are found in fruit. If I eat cereal, oatmeal, toast, etc. I am starving in…

You keep eating from your "goal" calories it adds exercise back in for you.
-
If you mean you try not to eat back your exercise calories then yes you are wrong. MFP has you at 1200 based on your lifestyle I guess? I hope you did not randomly pull that number. You need to eat to lose weight..... It was a hard thing to wrap my head around too, but try it I bet you'll be pleasently surprised.

I grab a protien bar alot of times, If I feel llike a treat I will have a carnation instant breakfast with a cup of fresh strawberries and a small banana,

Just keep working at it! Don't stop.....I gained six pounds the first month I really started working the plan, and exercising four days a week, two days cardio, two day cardio/strength mix. Today I weighed in (at 6weeks working the program) and lost what I gained plus four pounds! It feels great!! =) So very glad I did not…

It sounds like maybe it is a texture thing? One thing I do is get my shredder out and grate all types of squash, mushrooms, etc. and add a little at a time to spaghetti sauce. This in turn can be used on noodles, in soups and in casseroles. If you really want to see in you are truely that turned off by veggies or if it is…

WOW!! Thanks everyone! Water is not an issue I am getting 10-12 8oz glasses per day. I have two cups of coffee in the AM then nothing but water all day. To be honest I have not thought about the sodium intake and should look at that. I just this week have started some light weight training and hope to build that up and add…

It is telling you to eat more b/c it has you calorie count at what you need to lose wt. Eating to little is almost as bad as eating to much. Your body goes into starvation mode and #1 holds on to every calorie it can #2 starts taking the things it needs from non-vital organs, ie. bone, kidney.., so no doing that regularly…

Fiber is great! But not so good if you are not getting enough fluids (water) I would not stop the fiber but would add about 1/2 as much water to your diet. If you are getting the eight glasses recommended then I would step it up to 12. If you continue to eat the fiber and get enough liquid things should work out. ; )
