I'd say it lowers it a lot!

I should do this!

After your body becomes keto adapted (few weeks to a couple of months) the bad breath issue goes away. Took about 3 weeks but then it was gone for me.
-
I put some minced garlic, diced mushrooms and shredded cheese inside them.

Feel free to add me, been doing keto since mid June and loving it.

first, welcome to LCHF lifestyle, you'll love it once you get a few weeks into it. 1) I cook for my teenage son and my brother, all of us eat a keto lifestyle though the 2 of them are in maintenance so eat more carbs then I do. 2) I don't have any issues, in fact after a little bit on keto you'll be surprised at how little…

It's a great site, also try reddit r/keto and r/ketorecipes for more great stuff. Reddit is how I found about out keto and mfp.

Follow what Praxis said, more fat to help with the calories and 22 net carbs isn't bad at all. Don't worry about calories too much, eat when hungry, stop when full and drink plenty of water. I routinely fall below the calorie limits.

Thanks! I consider myself 3/4 of the way there though, lost 40 lb, over 8 months, pre MFP and Keto through watching what I ate and exercising. When I realized how much I hated that diet and that it wasn't going to be a long term thing for me I found Keto and lost the same amount in less then 1/2 the time and am so much…

mushrooms, cabbage, squash, eggplant are all decent from a net carb pov. I wasn't a huge fan of broccoli and cauliflower either, until I realized that on keto you can have them with a big slab of butter..now it's not so bad.

It hit me hard for a day or 2, once I drank a few powerade zero's most of the symptoms of keto flu went away though. Your potassium and sodium go real low in the beginning as you shed all that water weight so it helps.

I don't believe that calories count on keto but I do think that for consistent and larger weight loss you want some sort of caloric deficit. Some days I eat very little, other days I may shatter my limits, basically eat when hungry and stop when full. If I go over I don't get upset nor do I get worried when under 1k for…

Also, the 1st few weeks don't worry about macros or calorie amounts. Worry about eating the right things and getting used to Keto. Don't look at Keto as a diet but rather as a new lifestyle. Eat when hungry, don't eat when full, and always drink alot of water.

I also use some almond flour mixed with shredded cheese.

Awesome work! A lot of that is water weight since under keto your body doesn't need to retain as much water. Keep it up though it pays off so well. I'm down 41 lbs since end of June on Keto and it's truly become a lifestyle not a diet for me. It works and it's pretty tasty too!

Be careful with rum, some add a lot of sugar. You basically want to try and stick with distilled liquors, vodka's great, whiskey is good too.
-
It was probably the Atkins bars. Atkins doesn't count "sugar alcohols" as a carb but some of them, especially malitol have been known to knock people out of ketosis.

pork rinds of different flavors are excellent. Almonds are also good but with them as with any nuts watch the serving sizes because the calories will creep up quickly. Pre cooked bacon is also not a bad choice.

You need to watch your potassium as well as your salt levels. You can buy something called "light salt" it's 50% salt and 50% potassium to us. Low potassium used to give me leg cramps and since I've started using it I've had 0 issues with them.
-
Feel free to add me, I've been on keto since about a week before I joined MFP and I absolutely love it.
-
One thing that helps with the "keto flu" is drinking some chicken broth or powerade zero. Your electrolytes deplete alot faster on keto so you need to watch them.

I do about 2.5 liters normally, more if I'm outside sweating a lot but that's just water. Doesn't count coffee or anything else.
