You're going to end up being another low carb cautionary tale if you don't properly construct and fully understand this diet. Buy the book "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance" by Volek and Phinney. It's only about $8.95, and it will guarantee that you're successful. Best of luck.

They could be doing protein sparing modified fasts, intermittent fasting, or using any number of advanced strategies. Probably not, but could be.

A few obvious examples are pull-ups, push-ups, walking lunges, air squats, walking/running/sprinting, wide-stance alternating toe…

Walking lunges (25); 5. Jumping Jacks (50); 6. Air Squats (25); 7. Barbell Squats (% intensity varies); 8. Bench Press (% intensity…

Hey, Peach. Try a few 200 meter sprint repeats, and it will take even less time before you're splayed out on the ground. ;)

Assuming that you have social skills in addition to being fit (your opening line here calls that into question), you shouldn't put any arbitrary age limit on it, in my view.

You can count on one thing: expecting him to go from pizza and mac & cheese to being something resembling a vegan isn't likely to fly. Maybe you guys could compromise into a Paleo lifestyle with you leaning toward vegetables and him relying on meat/fish, fruits, and vegetables. Also be mindful that you two have vastly…

You won at this.

As one of the more articulate posters on MFP, I trust you already know the answer: we have to know our limits no matter the form of indulgence.

Assuming that you're not trolling (and I hope you are trolling), pick something at which you excel and crush it.

1. Find the nutritional protocol that allows you to best control your hunger; 2. Develop an exercise program that you really enjoy and let it evolve as you become more fit; and 3. Avoid Pub Med Ninjas offering you N=6 exercise and nutrition studies conducted by third rate scientists from Tier 3 universities who are bought…

Many people put pork rinds in a food processor with some of their favorite spices and enjoy it lots. Alternatively, of course, drown it in butter. ;)

Lots of times. I've never had a face plant. I just toss it backwards. It happens most often coming out of the hole with something that is greater than 90% of my 1RM.

I wouldn't be annoyed at all. I'd be thrilled to help out.

The biggest challenge has been avoiding foods that are inconsistent with optimal results, many to which I have a strong cultural attachment. In my immediate and extended family, that includes the following ancestries: German, Irish, Czech, English, Italian, Latino. It's like the United Nations.

I've never done it, but I'm pretty sure that access to the entire world through the internet will give you more choices than going to your local library or corner bar. Rather than rely on a service, find places online where people have similar interests to you.
