  • I go through phases depending on what is going on in my life. lately i have been crying often because the stress of what's going on in my life is getting the better of me. i wish i could control it more.
  • How you dress and keep yourself DOES affect how people view you. In a conservative environment black nailpolish is just as overboard as unnaturally colored hair. I probably wouldn't hire you if you couldn't be bothered to take off the black nailpolish and try to represent the company properly. I wouldn't even go for a…
  • i wear nike free run 3's for activities that could be done barefoot. dance has been mean to my feet and i need more support than barefoot usually :)
  • My brother used to do this. at about the same age. He had a history of even taking the honey pot to bed, we'd find it under his bed. I think it was a greed/not wanting to share with his sister thing personally. But as a child he had a hollow leg and a sweet tooth. He's 31 now and has grown out of it. While growing up…
  • Calgary here too. :)
  • i'm an oikos girl. the cherry is at the top of my list. or plain with fresh fruit.
  • I'm on the elliptical side of this argument, mostly on account of having a blown out knee that never healed 100% which throws off my running gait and puts me in pain. i'd like to try running outside on something other than concrete but i live near downtown of a city with over 1 million people in it, so it's pretty much a…
  • really? think about it like this, those thinspo sites are run by people with a mental disorder for people with a mental disorder. They're not in MFP, because MFP is primarily a health-oriented site. I don't agree with pro-ana sites but i am kinda glad they exist to keep people who are sick and not ready to get better off…
  • for the record my fiance will swear in court he's the most quiet, peaceful sleeper out there. He says he never moves, talks or snores. He knows 3 languages, and usually talks french while he's sleeping. He will 'low crawl' for like an hour (former marine) by bringing one knee up and then releasing his hip into the bed. it…
  • ^^^^^^This, so very much. My fiance has untreated sleep apnea and i wear ear plugs and all but STILL get woken up by him. Though i'd want to be in a completely different room. possibly on the other side of the house.
  • try a smoothie with some protein powder or something in it? I'm glad you don't want to undereat by that much. Also granola is a great thing for me when i have a lot of calories left over.
  • You are awesome. you make me want to go turn on my zumba game right now because it IS possible :) Congrats on taking awesome care of yourself and looking smokin.
  • it is? i'm dating someone who is 5'6. It's not the size, it's how you move it.
  • all natural hair colors, from blonde to black plus pink and green and orange. next will be purple.
  • i count water and unsweetened, non-caffeinated teas. if i drink caffeine i try to drink +2 water.
  • I don't like this comment. I am here to lose my 'recovery weight' in a healthy way. i'm not looking to weigh under 100 lbs because that's not healthy for me, but that i'm trying to lose weight is 'insulting' you is not really something i can help. Would you prefer we went back to old habits or started trying to build new,…
  • eyeball the greens in a salad, measure dressings. it's not 1/3 c of lettuce that will make you gain.
  • not necessarily. I waitressed at a fish and chips place and still can't choke it down. edited to add: that was about 10 years ago.
  • So true. I try to avoid it and remind myself my reasons for getting better, but as mentioned earlier some thread titles are deceiving or evolve into something else.
  • consider where you're getting your tattoo. I have one on my calf. and get something near and dear to your heart and that will be for decades to come. I personally have a two year rule, meaning if i decide what and where i want it and don't change my mind for 2 years i can get it. Also, pay the extra for good quality. a…

  • as someone with an eating disorder this site helps me by encouraging me to eat my 1200 cal minimum, because my particular ED involves a lot of restricting type activities. but i am 'post recovery' meaning that while i still struggle with my ed i have been through and still receive therapy and see a dr regularly. I'm trying…
  • I have a miniature poodle who does agility and she can run my nose into the ground. The right small dog can keep up. Really OP should check with vet to make sure their dog has a build that's favorable to running and that's healthy enough etc.
  • i agree with most, don't take calls or whatever, if you need to talk that badly leave the workout area. As far as cameras go i agree it's a privacy issue and wish people would take cheesy bathroom shots rather than gym shots where i might see myself in the background.... but today a lot of people use their smartphones for…
  • only a good idea if it's medically supervised.
  • don't make a habit of drinking THAT much but everyone does it once or twice. The only thing i'd suggest is maybe not return to that particular club anytime soon, go to the 'other' place lol. ok now for my blackout drunk story: my fiance and i drove from our home to washington state to see NIN at the Sasquatch festival. 17…
  • I've had dogs my whole life.. My first dog *I* owned was a rescue poodle at 13. She was 18 months old, abused, neglected and just wanted someone to love her. At that point my mom was still helping with vet bills but i was responsible for training and care, grooming, bathing, feeding etc. Her name was Angel and she suited…
  • I agree with the OP. when you adopt/buy/get an animal, cat dog or some type of rodent, you make an agreement with that animal to care for it because it's not something that can care for itself. I would love to have another dog but I don't have enough money to cover if BOTH of my animals somehow got sick at the same time…
