Single mom of 3 (2 boys and a girl) ages 3, 6, 8... I've 4 main goals: 1. To be able to keep up with my kids on all fronts. 2. To set the mold for my sons of a woman, wife, & lady to use in the future when they begin seeking out their future wives. Hopefully, not for another 25+ yrs. LOL 3. To give my daughter an image to…

Have U considered living as though U'd had gbs? I mean it's a bit rough the first several days, but will get easier and will give U time to "break" some of ur current bad habits (IE food choices & how U think about food). Do the entire process, liquids then soft foods, then progression. It'll do wonders in resetting your…

I'd say the lower the better. You can never go wrong with underestimating, but if losing weight is your goal, overestimating will definitely be a stumbling block.

As far as my intake goes, I have to agree with IdaMarie78, tracking/logging. I can't not track in spite of myself. MFP makes it so easy with the web & phone app, I simply cannot come up with a single excuse NOT to track, lol. In regards to activity, that's an entirely different story altogether for me. Was kinda hoping…

Work it! (2 snaps  )

SAHM of 3. When I go to the gym, I look at it as time to myself. Ow, if I don't make it to the gym, I walk with my kids once, sometimes 2xs a day or do the basics at home (jj, crunches, pushups, suats, lunges & 3-5lb wgts) & I alternate between the DVDs I have (walk-away the pounds--my fav, brazilian butt lift, &…

I was getting there & it truly is my personal goal...working out a minimum of 6 days a wk. I was almost there, from nothing hardly, to one/wk to 4 days/wk, well, that was until recently...Have regressed to NONE! Sickening, I know but I do a little something something but have no idea how to accurately measure it (no…

I can't figure out for the life of me how to post a pic, but I keep a pic of Deidre Pagnanelli in full sight. I know, a bit old school, but the chick, even after 4 kids & at 40+ yrs old, looks AMAZING! www.trainertothemoms.com

So, I've lost quite a bit of weight and continue to try to make my "old" wardrobe work cuz I've a few, well 35-40 more pounds I wanna drop......... Out playing with my kids and down dropped my pants, belt and all (funny although they were hanging on with all their might, my panties almost joined the group, lol). Mind you,…

The heart is a treacherous thing..."The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Iow, never trust your "feelings" you'll likely be mislead.

I agree with several of these posts. Had one heck of a time getting moving in the AM; however, I made it a habit of setting the alarm for 0430 every day & weighing myself (thus making it a habit to empty my bladder) at this time as well. It took a few wks (roughly 3), but since, no matter what time I turn in at night…

I have changed my motivation. Instead of focusing on the weight, I focus on making changes like logging my food & exercise, eating better, moving/getting active and I measure how well I'm doing primarily by how good I feel, then after a few wks of this (6 wks to be exact), I began weighing in regularly. The scale began…

Hey woman! Welcome to MFP. I am so in to being there for you however you may feel fit. Feel free to "friend" me :-) BTW, You are absolutely stunning. Ciao, bella!

Have any hobbies that keep your hands busy? I knit & sew, so the last thing I want to do is get grease, cheese, crumbs, spills, etc on a project in the making. Don't have a hobby, find one. Gardening may work too...much more active than my hobbies and would make eating even less appealing (well, for me anyhow: bugs, worms,…

Consider a low fat, low sugar protein supplement (bar or drink) and since you like coffee in the mornings as I do, try Chike's Protein Coffee. It's a cold coffee beverage but it truly tastes amazing, quick to throw together (cold water, single serving pkt, a blender bottle) and gives you a fix you wouldn't believe. Did I…

I get this a lot as well and I haven't figured out a "snappy" response yet (and I'm gifted in that arena, lol). But seriously, I normally say thank you (offering both a smile and a nod) cuz in all honestly when I hear: "You don't need to lose any more weight" my mind translates it to mean: "You look good. Congrats on your…

First of all U can & U will succeed...U have the attitude and will to do it. In response to your questions, I had trouble setting a reasonable time frame as well, but once I took "time frame" out of the equation, setting mini goals became much easier. Success never came to anyone over night (though it would be nice)...but…

a mixture of herbs, seasonings, and vinegar or lemon juice goes a mighty long way...sometimes I mix it with a touch of olive, sesame, nut, or sunflower oil

BRAVO, BRAVO! You got this...Just keep up the wonderful work. Utilize all the resources available to you and experiment. If you're like me and, shall I dare say, most of the world (;-)) you are likely one to hit a standstill on occasion...Just vary something. Add a lil more of this and take away a lil bit of that. Always…

You haven't said nothing new ;-) Been there, done that, and no plans of repeating this time around. You are welcome to count me in!

Well, if you Sushi Lovers have a second to school me...I thought sushi was raw fish, but I went to a Japanese restaurant and was informed by a patron, someone who truly appeared to be a sushi LOVER in all respects (LOL) that there was some cooked sushi...hummm?

When I quit stressing about the things I had absolutely NO control over and began focusing on what I had "no doubt" control over...MY BODY and the choices I made.

Nothing worse than people making the gym a "hot spot" for socializing...I do understand, but really can't you just exchange #s and do it at a coffee shop or something? Took, well tried to take a water aerobics class and although the instructor announced the class was beginning and attempted to begin, the chics behind me…
