I still need to lose about 100 pounds so I would love to have friends who understand my specific struggle. Please feel free to add me and good luck! We can do this!

You can add me if you want to. I've got a long way to go and we can all use a little support. Congratulations on joining and trying to change your life. :-)

Like he said, I weigh everyday because I learn more about my body and how different foods, excess sodium, etc. affects me. Unlike some I don't get discouraged if I haven't lost anything or if I've gained because I know what I'm working for and that's a change in habits and healthier lifestyle for the long haul. I record my…

OMGOODNESS! I thought I was the only one! I look at myself in the mirror and literally say I don't understand how I can weigh so much. When I'm walking around I feel thin and I think I look thin. Then, just like with most of you, I take a picture or someone shows me a picture and I am in shock at how big I really am. (Darn…

Seeing the results of past workouts keeps me motivated. I've only lost 34 pounds but I'm down almost 3 sizes. When I put on my jeans and I need a belt to keep them from slipping down that motivates me to keep going. I HATE working out so I think about what all this working out and eating better have gotten me and I…

I LOVE Zumba! I also have the dvd's and love the various workouts. YES, it does work the abs and all the other parts. The dvd's that I have come with a special ab workout too. (I haven't done it yet because I love the other workouts). I've been doing Zumba for a few months and for the first couple months my calves were…

Hi there! This is probably my 3rd, 4th, etc. attempt at MFP but I'm finally ready and here to stay! I am 43 with 2 adult daughters and 2 little minion grandkids - one girl, one boy - both about to turn 3. (My daughters were pregnant at the SAME time!) I have over 100 pounds to lose but have lost over 30 so far so I'm…

Sorry my above post is so long. I don't realize how much I "talk". :-)

I have to say that everyone who gave a comment is right in some way or another. Like one person said, when I used to allow myself to eat all the sweets I wanted I became really addicted because of the cravings and whatever I ate was never enough. I wanted more and more. Coming to that realization was huge for me. So,…

I know exactly how frustrating that is. That has happened to me so many times and in the past I've given up every single time. Now, however, I have a different mind set and maybe you can consider adopting it too on top of all the other great advice you've been given. Don't concentrate so much on dropping the pounds. If you…

I'm always willing to add friends. The support is one of the things that makes this site so awesome! Welcome to MFP!

Hi and congratulations for taking the first step. It's usually one of the hardest! I started off at 289lbs back in 2010 and wasn't really motivated enough to make a permanent change. I came back at the end of last year and still didn't stick with it. I've always been about losing weight quickly and have probably tried…

I drink decaf, add 2 packs of Truvia, 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream and 2 tablespoons of Torani Sugar Free French Vanilla Syrup. (I measure everything out). Yes, I like it sweet. It ends up being 100 calories but it's worth it.

As I put in my friend request we can all use a little extra help and support! I sent you a friend request. Nice to meet you! Lainey

I was 33 years old when I got engaged. We knew each other four months before he proposed and we were married a little over four months later (I was still 33 as we met 9 days before my 33rd birthday but actually had our first date 5 days after my 33rd birthday). We are still together - will be ten years on June 2nd of this…

I actually do a Firm Express routine where there is a different DVD for every workout for a 4 week period. There are 3 different dvd's for every week so my Monday, Wednesday and Friday workouts are always different. After a month you start over with the first DVD. On the rest of the days I do a Zumba DVD workout but they…

I ABSOLUTELY hate the treadmill! It NEVER seems to end. It can make 30 minutes feel like two hours! Even with music on it just seems to take FOREVER!
-
I work out 7 days a week. Sundays: Zumba video (45 minutes) Mondays: 20 minutes of a Firm Express video, 20 minutes treadmill, and 24 minutes robotics toning/strengthening machines Tuesdays: Zumba (45 minutes) Wednesdays: 20 minutes of a Firm Express video, 20 minutes treadmill, and 24 minutes robotics toning/strengthening…

The omen and the exorcist! OMGOODNESS! I first watched them when I was a child and now I refuse to watch them.

I could not buckle the seat belt on the only ride I like to go on at the amusement park (the river rapids). After getting in and sitting down I had to get back up and exit in front of everyone. I acted like it was okay but it wasn't.
