I've actually found that exercising helps with my monthly visitor. But if the oposit is true for you, then don't worry to much about it, you can try taking some sort of pain killer if that works, or you can just take it easy, take a walk instead of running or whatever you would normaly do.

I use whole weat macaroni, add i table spoon olive oil bace margrine, and some grated cheese, I work out to make up for the regular cheese, but you can always use some other kind of cheese.
