for myself, I prefer the left but with significantly more muscle.

uuuuum because I was curious. I'm happily married too (and pretty happy with my body) and wouldn't change my body based on what random Internet men said about 3 random pictures.

I've just moved into maintenance mode, but before that, I was eating about 1900 calories a day. I'm 5'10, 140 pounds and workout 5-6 days a week (burning between 250 and 500 calories).

I agree with the pp. Are you eating enough on a daily basis? Binging is exponentially more likely when you are restricting your food beyond reasonable levels. Make sure you're staying at a daily deficit of 500 net calories or less. ETA Probably also better not to have candy and other junk around, so if you do binge, at…

I get my protein mostly from skinless chicken breast, skinless turkey breast, and nonfat greek yogurt.

There are no exercises specifically for burning belly fat, because you can't "spot reduce". If you're losing weight, you will eventually lose the weight in your stomach. However, you can build the muscles in your core by doing planks (http://www.thedailybalance.com/wp-content/uploads/plank.jpg), bicycle crunches…

Agreed! I'm the OP and none of these look anything remotely like me. I have been overweight, medium, and skinny and I've never had any curves.

That's wonderful. Congratulations to you and your son.

No, it's not going to make me love my body any less. I'm happy with my body the way it is, as is my husband. I just was interested to know if the body many women strive for (in many cases with men's desires in mind) is, in fact, the body men prefer. Regardless of the fact that most men said the woman on the right, I would…

you're right!

Yes, it works! :) And it's SO worth it. Good luck!

I always wear mine. It doesn't really occur to me to take it off, and I would probably lose it. Mine is not that big, though.

I'm glad that some people finally came to point out that this sounds like an eating disorder. I don't just go around saying that to people on low-calorie diets, but in this case, I really don't think it's jumping to conclusions. If you feel physically unable to stop intense exercise that is making you feel weak and dizzy,…

:) oh yea, of course, that's why i love mfp. everyone is amazing. but it's still not the same as sharing it with the people i spend all day with, you know? i want to talk to my best friend about it, but i know she doesn't like it (not that she would EVER be anything but supportive, but i can just see it in her face when i…

A fitbit is not basically the same thing as a Body Media Fit. It's fine, and it works for a lot of people, but it only takes into account your movement, while the BMF uses three other forms of measurement. I've heard that people have experienced difficulties with it overestimating calorie burn.

You have to hook it up to the computer.

Thanks, everyone! You're definitely right that I need to find new friends who are interested in fitness. Fortunately, I have my husband, who's more obsessed with fitness than I am, but I'd love to be able to talk with someone other than him (and since he does 110-mile bike rides, my 6-mile runs are not as impressive!).

I have a Body Media Fit, so I generally eat around 500 calories less than it says I burn each day - sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more.

I am not going to worry about calories on Christmas. On Thanksgiving, I worked out hard, cooked all day, and then ate whatever I wanted without thinking about it. I did track my calories when I got home just to know, but I wasn't focused on it at all.
