  • Is it just me or does the OPs F/P/C breakdown look off for that few calories?
  • I get those all the time and I've been doing this for over a year and a half now. Just push forward as best you can. Today is a down day, tomorrow might be an up day (emotionally speaking). I've had days I literally started crying because I realized I couldn't fit in a slice of cake. in my defense this was around TOM Those…
  • Oh and someone had recommended this site to me before http://www.rippedrecipes.com/meal-planner.html I haven't played around with it too much but it seems like a pretty fun tool. You tell it how much you want to eat and it gives you recipes to build a day around.
  • Not sure if it's been said yet but if you're looking for ideas, check out people's diaries. A lot of members have open diaries and you can make your own plan around their meals. If you want structure, make it yourself!
  • Unfortunately, it's not going to happen. Eat at a slight deficit and start a workout program. Many people say they start seeing results in that amount of time with body weight workout programs like 30 day shred or the betty rocker 30 day challenge. The scale might not change but you will most likely look a little smaller.…
  • Crown and Coke or just a shot of Crown
  • Breast implants after the weight loss is the only way to change what your genetics want.
  • I don't have an issue so much with her as a model. Bigger people need clothes too and I hate seeing a size six model modeling for plus sized only lines. What I do have an issue with is her trying to convince the world that she (and others) can be healthy with that much body fat. If people want to be fat, that's fine, more…
  • MFP does not calculate calories for any type of strength training. There is a weight lifting entry in the cardio section but be aware that the calorie burns are total guesses. There are just too many variables to get an accurate estimation of calories burned while lifting weights. Log it as cardio if you want but if your…
  • Weight trends take weeks. Give it time and see where the trend is after 2 or more weeks. There are a hundred reasons your weight could go up. You did not eat 7000 calories above your maintenance calories in 2 days so you did you gain 2 pounds of fat in two days.
  • Patience. Give it about a week and see where you stand. It's hard, I know. I use an app called My weight tracker. I log my weight every day and it graphs it out and gives me a trend over several days as well as a projection of where I should be if I continue at that rate. It also allows me to note if I ate more than usual…
  • In addition to the sodium, you also had alcohol which will dehydrate you so your body is going to hold on to as much water as it can. That coupled with the sodium will lead to overnight (temporary) gains. While you may not have tracked a lot of sodium, you were not in the kitchen watching and measuring how much salt they…
  • Restrictions. If I make a lot of restrictions on what foods I can or can't have, I inevitably cave in. My brain registers that as a failure and being all or nothing I just give up for the day (or week) and that hinders my weight loss.
  • No, eating too many calories (no matter what they are) is a danger to weight loss
  • Eat all the foods you normally eat just less of them.
  • I allow myself to go over, sort of, on Saturdays but I still count (I say sort of because I know I'm going to go over and make up for it every other day of the week and I'm almost always good for the week). Only times I don't log are: -On vacations because I want to enjoy myself and not think about food. -When I'm sick…
  • This is exactly what I did when I hit my goal weight. I loved my boobs and almost considered gaining the weight back just to have them again. With implants I have the best of both worlds! Not going to lie, it's pretty awesome!
  • OP, take some of your own advice here. You have a lot of very successful (lost a lot of weight and have kept it off for a year or more without yo-yoing) telling you what you're doing might not be the best idea. Listen to them!
  • Wasabi powder and a shot of lemon juice!
  • invest in some GasX.... or, you know, just don't eat the protein bars. I get the same problem when I eat FiberOne anything. It literally doubles me over in pain. I mostly just avoid it but sometimes that 90 calorie brownie is just screaming to go in the microwave and then be crumbled up over my ice cream. That's why I have…
  • I have the exact same problem with my hands sweating as soon as I start my work out. I bought some chalk thinking it would help and it literally did nothing but make a mess. My hands just sweat right through it. I haven't tried the liquid chalk so maybe it works better but unfortunately, chalk may not be your answer. I…
  • There's no need for you to feel you need to defend yourself. No one was personally attacking you. They were just trying to figure out your motives. A lot of the time people start a diet and think "I have to give up everything I love and eat rabbit food in order to lose weight!" And that's simply not true. You can still…
  • I knew someone that was from a small town (not sure the name) with a Sprite factory that provided most of the jobs in the town. They called every carbonated beverage Sprite which lead to the joke: "Do you want something to drink?" "I'll take a Sprite" "What kind?" "A Sprite" "Yeah, but what kind?" "Sprite!" It goes on for…
  • Coke, followed by Dr. Pepper, very closely followed by Cherry Pepsi. Diet sodas never agree with me so all full calories but since I would rather have 140 calories worth of cake, I rarely drink soda unless I put some whiskey in it because I don't count calories when I drink
  • Thanks everyone for the responses! So summing up what ever has said, I should continue losing until I get to at least 140 before I even think about bulking. Before I start the bulk I should find out what my true maintance is by adding 100 or so calories per week until my weight stablizes. Then I start adding calories until…
  • As a southerner who used to drink southern style, rot the enamel off your teeth sweet tea on a daily basis, here's my advice. Wean yourself off the sugar. Going from sweet tea to unsweetened just feels wrong. Use less and less sugar and offset the more bitter taste of tea with lemon as you adjust. Normally I drink tea warm…
  • Is a 3 month cycle considered normal or average? I was thinking more like 6 weeks but I didn't know if that would be enough time to get any kind of results. I understand it takes time, I'm just confused on how much time. lol
  • I was previously maintaining around 1700-1900 net. I had maintained for about 7 months then stopped logging for the last 3 weeks of December (because I wanted to enjoy the holidays gilt free). I know I was eating more than 1700-1900 and my activity level went down but I didn't gain any weight. Currently I'm trying to get…
  • I decided to have this moved from fitness and exercise over to the gaining weight section as my questions are more centered around the bulking part of the equation. Hopefully someone can give me some insight.
  • You don't need to eat breakfast to lose weight. If you're hungry in the morning and want to eat it, that's cool. If you don't want to eat breakfast, don't eat it. You will still lose weight if you are eating at a deficit either way.
