I do Crossfit 3x a week. Hoping to increase to 4x a week in the next couple weeks. It's a great all over workout. :)

I'm sure you did this activity before you started watching what you were doing weight/diet wise, and it was just a common activity. I wouldn't count it as exercise.
-
I'd like to join in, too! Sounds do-able if we stick to it!! :)

Yeah, it's the left leg outward stretching in only a couple of positions that gets the pain. It's an odd, sharp-ish pain. It's definitely not soreness. I've worked through soreness. I'm a tough gal. But I'm just going to be avoiding the squats until I know I can do them again and not feel the same sensation. I really don't…

This made me laugh.

Thank you guys for your input! :) I actually went to class last night, but like miqisha said, I didn't do anything involving squats. Our warm up was catalyst and stretching (which felt great).. and the skill was front squats. Obviously I didn't do the front squats, and my trainer had me work on mobility instead. The WOD…

Thanks. I really can't tell if it's muscle or joint related. I'll try the extra omega 3's and rest. I'll see what happens. Thank you for the advice.
-
Yeah, that's what I planned on doing. It's a bummer, though.

First of all, no need for the smart *kitten* connotation. Secondly, I was asking if anyone else has had this happen, there is nothing wrong with that question. And the follow up question was in regard to those people (if there were any). So thank you for the useless reply and adding sarcasm and rudeness to my post instead…

I can suck it up if it's soreness. Have many times. But this makes me wince.

They can make their own nachos and cheese. Why are you the one being made to do these things? If he wants it, let him get it. If you want to be healthy you will be. You need to remove yourself from the bad things. You just have to mentally prepare yourself with the willpower to avoid temptation. It's hard. But if you want…

I weigh myself every day. I don't obsess over it, though. I know there are fluctuations because of water, etc. For me, I'm just curious. I don't NEED to weigh myself. I only count my morning weight as correct also. We generally weigh more at the end of the day. But I don't really see/expect to see loss except once a week.…

Dinner for me, too! I generally eat a yogurt for breakfast, then a small snack, a small-ish lunch, and then dinner. And depending on calorie allotment left, a snack after dinner. :)

People who finish before the clock during a timed WOD shout "time" at my box as soon as they finish. It's to record how quickly they finished that WOD - I assume for recording purposes to see if they improve. Just like timing a race I guess.
-
I agree. Make sure you're drinking water throughout the day! Not drinking enough water and NOT exercising will give you a headache. Imagine hard work and sweating it out on top of it. Drink drink drink!

Lots of people seem to have this issue. It's common. I was that way, but what you have to remember is that you had done it before, and you can do it again. If you think about it too much, you won't do it. Walk away, walk back, and just do it. Stop thinking about how high or what have you. It'll help. :)

I have a cheat day or two every week. Nothing CRAZY.. but I don't restrict myself. I am very strict with my eating all week and working out also. Sat and Sun are the two days I am more relaxed.
-
Well thank you.. I currently do crossfit. So I've done other lifting. It just so happens this was the first time I've done the bench press. :)
-
I was able to do 65 max my first go. I wasn't sure if that was good or not. I'm generally strong, so I guess it's a decent start.
-
No one, huh? :P
-
Yes, it does. But this one is made out of a soft material (at least the FT40 is), and to be honest, I can't even tell it's there under my sports bra. I love it. :)
-
I have the Polar FT40. Not FT4. The 40 has more features than the FT4. I got it for $90. It's awesome, and I love it.

South Florida also.

I definitely push myself. The only time I have to rest is if I feel like I'm pushing myself TOO hard. I don't want a heart attack trying to finish my kettlebell snatches. Sometimes my heart races so fast I just need to catch my breath a second. I definitely don't slack off though. It's for good reason that I'm doing this.…

I've been doing crossfit for 3 months now and I love it. :) I'd prefer not to be bulky.. I'd like to be more toned with definition.. but if I see that happening, I'll figure out what to do then, but for now I don't think that's likely to happen. There are a few gals at my box who look slightly man-ish, and I have to say…

If you noticed, I did mention that most of what I drink is plain water. No need to be a smart *kitten* about it.
-
You know, that is a great point.. LoL. I do notice it stick to the lid of my plastic cup I use at work.. Yikes.. Maybe I won't finish the rest of the packets I have.. :/
-
Haha, I was a diet pepsi lover also. :) I was never more than 1 or two cans a day. If that. But I still had it everyday. So I decided to stop that! And yeah.. I'm trying to find something better.. I need to find something without aspartame.. Ugh.

First of all, you can't work out "together." You can be in the same gym, but to make it like a date is a little ridiculous. Second, if the woman is expecting a chat fest or conversations at the gym, then you won't even be working out, effectively, anyway. And lastly, it doesn't mean the same thing to her if she's getting…

Haha, I guess I could! :P
