  • It's not doing me any harm - I just factor them into my calorie allowance for the day and don't go mad. If I go over allowance, I never go over TDEE, so no harm.
  • I did gain and ultimately the depression from the whole process (including miscarriages) led to me gaining a whole lot more. Only just getting my life back on track after divorce. Not relevant to your question though - hmm, the drugs can be harsh, so treat yourself kindly. Being an egg donor it's only for a few weeks. The…
  • It helped me with co-ordination & balance. I was a regular clutz, always falling over & spraining ankles. Zumba in bare feet strengthened the ankles, so I don't fall now and if I do feel a fall coming on (usually from wearing heels these days), I can recover from it. Getting to know the routines helps a lot with…
  • I'm not going to talk about bikes, but about your bum. It will hurt when you first start - get some padded cycle shorts - your backside will thank you. You'll be able to do without them eventually but unless you like walking bandy, get a bit of padding!
  • I'm not waking myself up any more - which is good!
  • Sure - I still can't believe anyone I like would be interesting in me... but basically, I'm out having fun anyway. Don't try to hard, don't go out on the prowl, just for fun with friends and see what happens. People can sense desperation and it puts them off - try not to be that guy. ;)
  • Anyone who's into photography should think about joining blipfoto - it's a photo a day journal type thing and It's free. You see some amazing stuff on there. You can see some of my photos here on my journal: http://www.blipfoto.com/LadyP To the OP - I lost my mojo for a few years but found it again quite recently after…
  • So far, I've not stalled for longer than a week or two - I figure it's just my body taking a breather.
  • I'm still waiting for mine. Size 22(UK) to size 12. Some days I feel pretty good, others not so much. I've been purposely pushing my comfort zone boundaries recently to try and shake it up a bit. Seems to be working as the feel good days are a lot more common now. Things I've been doing (I'm a photographer for pleasure) so…
  • Binge is not a work in my dictionary and nothing is banned. This is how failure starts I think. If you think you've done something 'naughty' then it's an excuse to give up. If I feel the need to 'treat' myself (my social life has really taken off recently so it's not a treat, just a part of my life), I tend to limit a few…
  • I found a sports bra that doesn't make me bulge under the arms - I basically live in it and get a smaller one when I need too. Once I hit goal I plan on getting some pretty underwear.
  • I still suffer from that fat girl thing - your mind can take a while to catch up with body. You know what I did a couple of days ago? An impromptu photo shoot in a wood with a photographer friend - seeing the results of that did wonders for my ego. :) Edit to add - I started doing that 'do one thing every day that scares…

  • What I do? I have a small halogen oven for meat and a steamer for veg. Quick, easy and nutritious.
  • Sash - Non Existent Nothing
  • Here's how it goes for me - week of my period I lose 3-4 lbs. Following 2-3 weeks I maybe lose a total of 1 lb (up and down slightly each week).

  • Weight loss is not linear. You lost 4lbs in a week, that averages out over 2 weeks at 2lb a week - a good rate.

  • Let's see if this worked... pottted history - started mid July last year at 244.5lbs. Second pic (19th May) was taken at 166lbs. This was the day I finally managed to zip the dress up all the way - my goal since the start. Currently around 160lbs. 6 stone (84lbs) lost so far. Still working on it...
  • I'll eat most of them - don't want to double dip so I generally leave a few uneaten.
  • The fastest way to end up lonely is to play the 'holier than thou' card. It's none of anyones business how others live.
  • Stationary cycling is so boring compared to getting out there. When I first started a few months ago I pushed up the hills, cycled the flat & coasted downhill. Now I can cycle the lot and it didn't take long at all to build up the legs. A bonus was a quite remarkable decrease in cellulite on the thighs. :) I find it works…
  • The all important visceral fat - always forgotten but the most important of all fat to get rid of. This is inside your body cavity, wrapped around your organs - lose this fat and it's not that obvious externally.
  • If I can do it (well, I'm not that far off now considering) then anyone can. Good luck to you all - just keep your mind fixed on your final goal if you falter... Edit - It's not quite 100lbs on my ticker but I think I'll adjust down once I get there - I adjusted up a bit - my original goal loss was 101lbs.
  • If you decide to make ice cream with sweetener it will get rock hard (it's the sugar that makes it softer). Don't make it in an ice cream maker unless you want to have to repair it (the motor will burn out if you're not careful). Once it goes in the freezer you'll need a knife to cut it as it will be too hard to scoop. As…
  • Avocado - cut in half and scoop with a spoon - yum. I use them to bump calories up when I'm a bit low in the evening - especially if the fat for the day has been too low. A whole ripe one on the plate and then spread it onto the turkey fillet or chicken or whatever. Love it!
  • Gone from size 20-22(UK) to midway between 12-14 (UK) since July last year (80lb loss) - it's hard to keep up!
  • I guess it would depend on where the tattoo was and if there was a lot of fat under it. I have a little dolphin on the back of my shoulder and it hasn't changed - but then there's not been that much fat over the bone there. Here's this to think about - if you inflate a balloon and draw something on it. Let the air out -…
  • The MFP phone app/barcode scanner was the final nudge I needed to get started.
  • Time - IF it is going to tighten, it will. But it takes time - depending on age it can take up to 2 years from what I've heard.
  • Getting into the right frame of mind to actually get started.
