I think you just have to wait for them to drop off the list.

Some days you go lower than normal, some days higher - it all balances out in the end.

Eat Beetroot - it goes through me like a dose of salts.

I got rid of them - no temptation to backslide...

If you work out/burn different amounts each day or week, then including it in your TDEE may not be the best option.

Not having to have the plane seatbelt on full stretch - I now have to tighten it! Yes to an earlier comment - I find I fit in seats much better but the butt padding is thinner... swings and roundabouts in that department. The most useful thing I find is that I'm more stable on my feet now - I used to topple over a lot and…

I'm 47 - the only HCG shot I have had was for IVF. So far, calorie reduction is working just fine for me.

8 floz is supposedly a 'cup'. I go by 1/2 litre as 2 'cups'.

This depends a lot on the climate you live in - someone in a hot place will need to drink more than someone shivering in a cold place because they sweat more and so lose fluid that way. Drink if you're thirsty. Also drink if you are hungry - to see if you are actually hungry because the body can mix those signals. I drink…

Since the cold weather started I increased a bit in weight (weird eh?) - so a day or two ago, I upped my limit a 100-150 calories and have since dropped the weight I gained. I spend a fair amount of time out in the cold waiting for buses that often don't come, so am using a bit more energy than normal to keep body…

Seconded on Benefibre - mix it into your drink and you'd never know you were drinking it. You can get it in Asda (got some on a 3 for 2 offer they were doing).

Another UKer here, who had just over 100lbs to lose when starting in mid July - mini-goals are my way forward too - it's got me over halfway there in almost 6 months, so works for me. You can do it - take baby steps otherwise the amount is just too daunting.

I have (had, lol) a wardrobe of clothes from my lowest size up to my highest. Every month or so I go through and try on stuff - separating into too big (recycle), fits now (into current wearing pile) and too small (put aside for later). End of last week I went through my 'almost fits' pile and they all (bar one thing)…

OK, I started at around the same weight (a few lbs less) and wanted to lose as much or a bit more. I'll need to see how it goes though. I started mid July - so just under 6 months and I've lost 56lbs. That's 4 stone to us UKers. Realistically, I don't think you'll be able to lose much quicker than that and stay healthy. I…

Once, some time ago, I gave blood then went home and weighed myself.

Not scared of them, just find it so boring to do.

Pack a bunch of protein bars - handy for on the go meals/lunch or find the nearest supermarket and get sliced ham or chicken and some bread and make simple sandwiches. For breakfast I take some porridge pots (just add boiling water) or go for the boiled egg option & a small roll at breakfast. Stick with fish or chicken…

Just joined this group - I live in Aberdeen (and it's raining! ;) )

Aberdeen reporting in... (not Scottish myself, I just live here).

Oh, what a familiar story (although I was not blessed with children during my fertility struggles and am now divorced from the cheating sod). You can add me if you like.

Two things that got rid of it (eventually) for me with no medical treatment at all - always wearing shoes with good arch support and no going barefoot at all. First thing is the morning was the worst time - just out of bed and barely able to hobble.
-
I came into this with over 100lbs to lose - around what you have. I'm now almost halfway there in less than 6 months - it is doable. Make yourself mini-goals to focus on - instead of looking at the whole scary amount. For example, I set myself a minigoal to get into the overweight BMI category (from obese) for New Year -…

Makes a post which belongs on another thread, by accident. Waits a few mins and then comes back to replace said post with: Sorry, posted on the wrong thread, *blush*

In the main it is not a bad estimate on days where you don't go over or under on your calories too much. I started making a note of it each day (on my spreadsheet against the date 5 weeks hence) to see how it did.

Before jumping head first into the plant based diet people READ the article posted above - it explains that the movie is not being entirely honest with you in this respect - surprise surprise. http://rawfoodsos.com/2011/09/22/forks-over-knives-is-the-science-legit-a-review-and-critique/

Think of it as wood - you burn the huge lump of wood (fat) for energy (heat) and all that is left is a small amount of ash (which we pee out basically).
-
It isn't fat at that point - it is converted to FFA , then leaves the fat cell & goes into the blood, and then it is sent to and absorbed into muscle cells and burned there in the mitochondria. it's all in the article.

I'd get no starter - even if the others do, and go for the half chicken - lots of protein and you can leave the potatoes if you don't want them. See if you can get a side salad with it instead.
