Be proud of your progress, you look amazing! Congratulations and keep up the great work!!

Hello and welcome Joe! This site is one of the finest weight loss tools I've ever discovered and the people here are typically all super supportive (since we're all here for the same reason!) If you're diligent and honest about tracking in your food diary and your exercise you will succeed at your goals! Best of luck to…

You ARE a superhero for getting out there and doing that! I salute both your courage and your conviction! I ran/jogged/crawled my first 5K back in July - See Chicks Run - in Philadelphia, PA and it was a moving experience for me. Not only was it my very first run ever, but I have issues with chronic pain and…

Congrats!!! What a great feeling! Great job and keep it up!

Divorcing, then having the memories permanently scraped from my brain. :grumble:

The more I exercise, it seems the less hungry I am. So much so that I'm at the point now where I'm actually struggling to consume at least a decent 1200 calories a day. I tend to eat more protein (including using shakes as a meal substitute on some days) and definitely cut down on carbs. If I have a burger - no roll. I…

I wouldn't count it as none. My DDR game for XBOX is a lot of jumping and stepping and I can burn 500 calories easily in about 30-40 minutes of non-stop motion. Dancing is just another form of cardio, so I'd say you did burn a few if you danced for 2 hours.

Unfortunately, that's the drawback of weight loss for a women...boobs are the first to go. Still, I feel it's a fair trade for being slimmer and healthier.

Congrats! Keep up the great work! I just got over a two-week frustrating "plateau" with no weight loss. As of this morning's weigh-in, I have a total loss of 21 lbs. since I started using this site in July. This website really works if you can keep your focus and determination! 68 lbs more to go!!

50 lbs. lost is a shining success, so don't dismiss it so casually! For those just beginning their journey, or those who have been here some time...there's always a point when we can sometimes lose our way. The focus we had at the start of our journey become blurred and sometimes the "easy" way starts to look…

My parents have a nice little place in a development down near the New Jersey shore. Every time I was out attempting a light jog or some biking around the roads there I was heckled, mocked even had some joker go so far as to swerve towards me in his truck to scare me. Some of the things said were really cruel and hurtful.…

1. Jason Statham (His accent alone makes me melt) 2. Robert Downey, Jr. 3. Chris Hemsworth

Anyone can add me. I love to motivate others and, in doing so, I keep myself driven. I keep an open, honest diary of food/exercise and receptive to criticism or suggestions on how to better myself. If you're in it for the long haul, I'm right there with you. 8 )

My goal? I just want to fit into my size 10 jeans from Express again, and I think I was around 130 lbs at my lightest in 2008. Anything after that at this point would be a bonus.

I'm Lisamarie, 36. I've lost 19 so far and need another 60-70 before I'm at my goal. I'm here for long term. Going to hit my goal and then stay with it to maintain. I'm not going to let go once I've found the real me this time around. I've just hit that plateau you reach after a month or two of rapid weight loss and…

From Philadelphia, PA here.

I'm always looking for active MFPals to motivate and keep me pushing forward!

I log regularly (except when I am without computer access), exercise daily and comment as often as I can to help keep MFPals motivated. Anyone can feel free to add me. I'm always looking for active MFPal users who are committed to their change of lifestyle journey like myself who not only need a little push every now and…

Going through pictures of myself from 2008 when I was at my slimmest and, from my smiles in those pictures, my happiest. I remembered it wasn't so much the fact that I was slimmer that made me so happy, it was the success itself. It raised my self-esteem and my feelings of self-worth. I didn't hate the person I saw staring…

Goal here is about 60 lbs for me! Friend request sent! Anyone else can feel free to add me, too. I'm a dedicated MFPal and your successes help me better myself!
-
Anyone can add me! The larger your support circle, the more motivated you become and the easier to stay on track! I love sharing in MFPals' successes and their positive feedback keeps me moving forward towards my own goals!
-
I empathize with both of you! I have been living with permament nerve damage on the entire right side of my body since 2004. I always have that "crawling" sensation you get when your leg falls asleep on that side - but flare ups are sudden, often without provocation - and leaves me feeling like I've been tasered. What I…
-
Anyone can add me as I am always looking for MFPals to support and motivate as well as to keep me on track. I've a long road ahead (almost 70 lbs to lose) and the larger my circle of support the easier this path has been so far for me. Logging in and seeing so many successes - sharing my own - and just the overall positive…

I don't like deleting friends, but my criteria for doing so would be that they haven't logged in for a long period of time. I always try to give a person the benefit of the doubt and I know changing your lifestyle can be very hard but if it becomes obvious that the effort just isn't there - then I have to focus on the…

Going from a 22 to a 14 is a huge success! Congratulations! I know from personal experience how hard it is when you are your own worst critic. My main goal here is to learn to love both the me on the outside and the me on the inside because I know that I will never really be happy until I reconcile the two. I've often…

Don't be discouraged! First off, everyone's rate of success will be different because everyone's bodies/metabolisms are different - so don't compare yourself to any others. Also, try not to think of it as calorie-counting so much as being aware of how your eating and exercise patterns affect your body. Secondly,…

I'm not a runner...more of a slow jogger...but I did do my first 10k mud run - the Merrell Down and Dirty National Obstacle and Mud Run - in Philadelphia this past July. It was fun, but physically demanding on a level I wasn't prepared for. I am proud to say that I finished even with a twisted ankle and badly bruised rib…

To reach the point where I can love myself both outside and inside. For me, they're connected. I look in the mirror and hate what I see reflected, and then I look deeper and hate what I've allowed myself to become. When I break this cycle, I know I will have reached not only a heathly weight goal, but a healthly mind goal…

I always say that the larger your support group the greater your motivation! I personally thrive off the positive comments of MFPals and seeing their successes. Keeping MFPals motivated = keeping me motivated. We are all here to help each other reach our goals and maintain them so anyone can add me!
