  • I don't think men generally make comments. I haven't had any male friends/family say to me that I've lost weight, but plenty of comments from female friends/family. I don't know, but don't be discouraged by it. Maybe he's the sort of person who doesn't say anything.
  • Not a guy, but I cried for about 3 days after watching Titanic. Sad.
  • I thought they stopped showing that? Seriously, whose bright idea was it to show this program again? Biggest waste of time ever >.<
  • My brothers told me when I was 4. I can remember when they said it to me too >> TBH, agree with a comment above, he's 11, he already knows. If not then be truthful. I don't know, not something I've ever had to do :-/
  • I've tried weight loss before and failed due to the lack of motivation and support from others. Since joining MFP, I have found it a lot easier to stay on track with my friends giving motivation, advice and support. Helps when you have people around you in the same boat :)
  • I found my HRM was inaccurate because of my boobs being in the way. Turns out that wasn't the case. I place mine in the middle just under my boobs and I make sure that rub a bit of water on the sensors so it can pick up my heart rate easier. Since then ive had no problems getting my heart rate and always managed to keep it…
  • When I do my workouts, I have my laptop on my coffee table right in front of the TV, so I see my reflection. I found this quite offputting...seeing my flabby gut bouncing up and down all the time - I could see nothing but...well...eww. Now I've turned it the other way so I'm not facing the tv, and when I vision myself in…
  • Like others have said, don't worry about it. Obviously if it persists, see your doctor :)
  • Rice. Feels like I'm eating it for ages and always fills me up.
  • I had an iPhone, got rid of it because all the decent apps needed to be paid for and all the free ones were rubbish. Plus I can't stand the on screen keyboard, I'm too addicted to the blackberry keyboard to worry about touchscreen keys. I originally got an iPhone because of the however many apps there are, but once I got…
  • Hmm... Radiohead at the "tent tour" in London. Outstanding. Funeral for a Friend a few years ago in Southampton, Portsmouth and Taste of Chaos tour in Brighton. Reel Big Fish in various places, seen them about a billion times, got more amazing each time I went. I've seen many others, but none match up to those. Would like…
  • I used to love McDonalds and go there quite regularly. However, after starting MFP, I went there once and HATED it. If I ever do have something out, then I'll have a Subway or something, but that doesn't happen often enough anymore.
  • Hmm, all of my relationships have been pretty rubbish. But there's one that the worst of all. He managed to run up a £720 mobile phone bill in my name >.< Thankfully I didn't have to pay for it, but what a jerk >>
  • I tend to not buy stuff that I know I will binge on during TOM. If I do happen to have such things like chocolate, I get my bf to eat it. If it isn't there, I can't touch it and I'm too lazy to go down the shop to fulfil a craving. I get terrible pains during TOM, so I usually just relax for a bit with a hot water bottle,…
  • I get them from weight loss too. I think it's something to do with losing weight too quickly. Obviously skin stretches, and if the weight comes off too quick, it doesn't have a chance to go back the way it's meant to be, hence the stretch marks. Thats what I was told anyway, don't know if it's true or not.
  • Never! Gravity always wins.
  • Some people find it weird when I have tomato ketchup with EVERYTHING. Doesn't matter what it is, gotta have it. Sunday roast especially, not common to have tomato ketchup but I have to have it. If I ever eat out and they don't have ketchup, I'm disappointed. I used to carry little sachets with me when I did go out to eat.…
  • 10 minutes of walking after every meal? Damn, if only it was that easy *rolls eyes*
  • I picked mine smack bang in the middle of the healthy zone. Hopefully I will get the look I desire at that range. Plus being in the healthy zone is good too. I just hope I am happy wth how I look too once I get there.
  • I had the same problem with my crappy HRM. Thought it was just me, that my boobs were in the way or something. Someone suggested to me to put water on the sensors and haven't had a problem since. It did say to do this in the manual, but couldn't read it as it was all in German/Dutch :-/ Got there in the end though, never…
  • Me being me, I would go mad and have whatever I like and get back on track the next day, work it off etc. I would find life incredibly boring if I watched what I eat all the time. Got to have allowances sometimes. But hey, that's just me. Not the best choice for losing weight but life would be boring otherwise XD
  • I eat mine back and haven't had any set backs so far. As long as I net in over 1200 but not going over my overall limit then it's fine. Plus it's nice to have something nice to eat for dinner instead of something boring. Worth working for IMO.
  • Find someone with good rep and don't settle for that just because it's the earliest you can get. It may mean having to suffer with things you're getting but it's not worth it if that doctor has such bad reviews.
  • I was like you, 4-5 sodas a day, fake sugar on my breakfast etc etc.... I just stopped. I didn't ween myself off of it, I just stopped all together. And I don't miss it one bit. The only change is that I use proper sugar on my breakfast now, and thats the only time I add sugar to anything. I can't stand my cornflakes…
  • I had the implant and put on soooooo much weight. Well, I dunno if it was that, but it started to get more and more when I had it put in. I ate more, and I was hungry more. Soon as I had it out, the hunger started to go, and the weight is dropping too. Only problem having it out now is the painful TOMs.
  • It is an emotioal problem yes, but trying to seek help in a country where you can barely speak the language makes things a million times difficult. I have very little or no support when it comes to things like this. I don't feel like this usually. I eat regularly every day (breakfast lunch dinner) and rarely have a "don't…
  • bump I want that done, I'm as blind as a bat xD
  • I really need to drink more water. I'm lucky if I even get in one glass a day. I just never feel thirsty to want it. And I hate water too, boring much? Thanks for the tips though, will try some out :)
  • I still eat what I used to eat before starting MFP, but I don't eat half as much as what I used to. There are things which I have stopped eating altogether, simply because the amount of calories in it has put me off for good. I try and find healthier alternatives, or make my own (frikadellen for example). I used to consume…
  • I've lost a stone too, but I'm not noticing looks wise anything different. I have noticed that clothes feel looser but thats about it. I can only seem to feel things, rather than see things. I guess thats good in a way, but I hope I start to notice something soon. I'm not trying to let that get to me though. I know things…
