My kids love the ribs and the chick'n tenders or patties. I prefer Smart Dogs to Morningstar ones and Boca burgers to any of their burgers (except the Asian ones, those are yummy). All the chick'n products definitely need to be baked until really crispy. I am not going to lie, I think those veggie corn dogs are an amazing…

I think some of the food you entered has incorrect info. I'm vegan but I'm pretty sure 2 slices of bacon doesn't have 270 calories. And if you only had a cup of spaghetti that is definitely not 600 calories. Start weighing and measuring and it might not be as bad as you think:)

This worked perfectly thanks!!!!

I live right near Farm Sanctuary but not as close to any of the walk sites. Might drive up to the Rochester one though.

Good for you for seeking out these healthy changes. Here is my experience: I spend a LOT of time looking up recipes from cooking blogs, cookbooks etc. It's wasn't enough to just take old meat/dairy/egg based dishes and leave out the meat or substitute it (although that can be a great way to start!). There are so many…

I have it and love it! I also have her 30 Day Vegan Challenge Book, which is great for new vegans or those thinking about becoming vegan. BTW her podcasts are amazing and because of them I moved from vegetarian to vegan (actually within 5 minutes of listening to just one episode). I am also reading Main Street Vegan by…

Hi! And welcome:) I've only been vegan about a month, and vegetarian for 25 years before that. So far I love it and it is a very natural progression. I have discovered that I will need to be better about cooking to really be successful, so I am diving into that headfirst through blogs and cookbooks. There is no shortage of…

I like cooking them in a pressure cooker. They come out nice and soft with a creamy texture. Plus it takes less than half of the usual cooking time. I got a cooker on sale this year for $25. So worth it!!!

I agree with the above that it really helps if you learn to cook great vegan food. It doesn't have to be fancy or complicated, just needs to taste good:) That way you know you always have something to eat and the other people see that vegan food is delicious and satisfying. I use blogs a lot as well, besides the ones…

First of all you look terrific, congrats on your weight-loss and kudos on your hard work!!! I think everyone deserves an honest opinion on clothes (that's why my friends like me to go shopping with them). So here's mine... I think #1, 3, 5, 6 are the most flattering, but if any of the other ones make you particularly happy…

I am a long-time vegetarian (now vegan) and would never presume to tell someone else what to eat. I decide what I eat and you can decide for yourself. Ahhh freedom! Sorry you had such a bad run-in, we're not all angry crazies:)

Bought it but have not started it yet. We shall see...

Eating processed and convenience foods. You have to learn to prepare your own meals, there's no way around it if you want to eat healthy and enjoy what you are eating. Make a commitment to try a few new recipes (and types of food) each week and before you know it you'll have a whole repertoire of healthy options. There are…

They were Wegman's store brand. I just found a link to their ingredient list. There is also Fish gelatin in them, yuck!!! http://www.shopwell.com/wegmans-tortillas-whole-wheat/tortillas/p/7789017429 It's all the fuss over omega-3's now, I think. They're sticking that stuff in everything.

Whey in soy yogurt! That is crazy too! Guess this is why we must ALWAYS read labels. The other day I almost purchased whole wheat tortillas that had anchovies on the ingredient list, luckily I read the label first!!

I like Colleen Patrick-Goudreau too. I've been listening to her podcasts (Vegetarian Food for Thought on iTunes). She covers a lot of common vegan questions/dilemmas etc. Her foundation of compassion for all resonates with me. I actually ordered "30 Day Vegan Challenge" yesterday. It is out of print (new edition coming)…

I am also transitioning from vegetarian (25+years) to vegan. Anyone can feel free to add me!

No one mentioned Satriani in their lists, interesting...Best alive: Jeff Beck, the dead ones will have to duke it out.

Meh, everything stores as fat if you don't use it. Even the holy protein.

1) Organized for sure. They should come to your 1st session ( the one after your initial assessment) with a plan in hand. 2) They should have a large repertoire so you can mix it up and not get bored. 3) They should be attentive and ask you your goals, and about any health issues you may have. 4) I personally like them to…

You seem to consistently run pretty high on sodium. I don't think that's doing you any favors. Try cutting out some of the processed snacks (granola bars and the like) and switch for fresh fruit. Then try staying under your sodium for a week and see how that works for you. Just a suggestion from one overweight vegetarian…

I was a perfectly happy only child and got to go everywhere and do everything that my parents did. I have two boys now and love watching them interact, especially since I never had that kind of relationship. They are really close. I do like having them one-on-one sometimes so that I can really focus on one at a time, when…

Good thing there's the recipe builder function in MFP:)

Three times a week for me, love it!!

I once ate a whole Terry's orange too. Can't/even/look at them now.

I'll probably be here forever...or until the zombie apocalypse.
