That sounds like a terrible idea imo. I think you maybe need to take a couple weeks away from trying to do a very intense program like Insanity and figure out the nutrition side of things. You will not be able to do insanity eating a 1200 calorie diet period. Relax, take some time away from the super intense exercises and…

Personally, I think I'd rather buy the DVDs and do the P90x workouts at home. Even if you don't have the equipment already, your cost for the 90 days will probably be less buying the gear and DVDs. I'd be a little concerned that the trainer you're going to get at the gym isn't as good as the instruction you'd get on the…

If you've made it through 7 weeks so far, you can make it to the end. At this point you've done every workout right? You've already done it once, might as well finish it up. I'm not sure what kind of body fat loss I've had, and I haven't lost any weight, but I'm down 2 pants sizes (36 - 32), and I feel and look a lot more…

I agree with your point about the schedule and I'm pretty sure that the results most people see are more because of the fact that they're busting their *kitten* 6x a week working out than because of anything specific to the Insanity program itself, but I think you can "incorporate" some insanity into another workout…

Chicken salad, on rye, un-toasted with a side of potato salad ... and a cup of tea.

Normally I'm not one for excuses for missing a workout, but I think being hospitalized counts as an acceptable one. Get yourself right and get back in it.

Early on I probably couldn't have done more than Insanity. Now that I'm 2 weeks from the end I most likely could, but my life doesn't realistically give me enough time to do more. 9 hours at work, an hour of drive time, 1 hour of working out, plus 2 kids and a wife and I'm basically falling asleep right after I work out.

and which ones? Also, what ones do you have? If you' have the "insane abs" and "sports training" videos, those will be more of a replacement option for some of the missing ones. I think at the end of the day though, your results come from working your *kitten* off 6 days a week more than from anything specific that's in…

How are you eating enough to fuel yourself through 2 max workouts a day? On the Max Cardio/Insane Abs days I feel like its impossible to eat enough, I can't imagine a day with Max Interval/Max Plyo. That said, I'm more than a little impressed that you're doubling up on the month 2 workouts. I managed it a couple times in…

No matter how fit you are, this program will push you pretty hard. I'm not a trainer or beachbody coach or anything, but I would think that if you can do a cardio workout with a pretty good level of intensity for 45 minutes you'll be able to make it through insanity. If you're currently below that level, you might still be…

I had to put down our dog earlier this year. We had gotten pretty close to our vet over the years (our dog wasn't healthy even as a puppy so we were regulars at the vet for emergency type visits). About a week afterwards we got a package in the mail from the vet. They made plaster molds of our dog's footprints with a…

Welcome aboard. I thought about doing something like this when I started out (18 days left), but I realized pretty soon that every diary entry was going to me pretty similar, "I pushed play, did some 1-2-3 Heismans, collapsed on the 3rd set of moving pushups, struggled on _____ jumps and ended the workout in a sweaty heap…

Normally I try to focus on the MFP submitted entries, the ones without the * on them. The problem with eggs is that there's about a dozen MFP submitted entries that are all different. Hard boiled, scrambled, poached, fried, etc. As far as I can tell there's no MFP entry for a generic "egg".

I'm in week 2 of month 2, so at a similar point, and I've gained about 3 lbs through the program. I've noticed my weight fluctuates a lot on a daily basis though. Today, I was up almost 2 lbs over the previous day, (mainly because I left my water bottle at home and didn't drink enough during the day). Basically though, I'm…

I'm smiling because I love it! Its hard, but its supposed to be hard. The program is built to change your body in 2 months. That's a really short time, so it only makes sense that it has to be hard. Eventually you'll look forward to the new workouts. I just started month 2 last night, and yep, its still hard as hell, but I…

Wow, the first Max workout last night was pretty rough. I was expecting it to be more of the same type of moves, just an extra circuit, but it turns out that the moves are a little tougher and there's an extra circuit. I burned 857 calories last night. I'm not really looking forward to the Max Cardio and Insane Abs double…

As a point of reference, I'm starting month 2 today. Before starting the program I wasn't in great cardio shape. I was jogging 4 miles a night a couple of times a week, but aside from that, and had lost about 15 lbs over the past 3 months, but I wasn't doing any serious training. I think basically, if you're capable of…

I'm in just about the same point in Insanity. I should be finishing up right about at Christmas. I've been thinking about going into P90x or Chalean Extreme after I'm through, but more likely I'll end up taking a few weeks off before moving into another program.

I'm at exactly the same point as you are, and I've gained 4 lbs through 30 days of insanity. I've been eating around 1900 net calories (my TDEE is around 2200). I've been reading a bunch of people's results in the forums here, and it seems that a lot of them stay flat or gain some over the first month, then lose weight…

Glad I found this post. I'm in my recovery week now. I came down with a cold on my rest day just prior to the recovery week and ended up not doing the first CC&B workout on Monday to get my body right. Last night I probably took it a little easier than I should have, but now that I've seen this I'll be sure to push harder…

Finally into recovery week and it couldn't come at a better time for me. I'm nursing a cold and felt pretty sluggish on the last two workouts last week. Looking forward to kicking this in tonight and seeing what core cardio and balance is all about.

I started back in August and lost around 20 lbs before I started Insanity. I was doing around 4 miles a night on the treadmill at a pretty decent pace and I was getting pretty comfortable that I was going to be "in shape" enough to handle Insanity. No matter how "prepared" you are, the point of Insanity is to push you…

Even on some of the simpler moves like the 1-2-3 Heisman I'm nowhere near keeping up with their pace. I'm physically moving as fast as I can, but there's no way I can keep up with them on the video, so I don't try. Push yourself, do what you can, but be safe about it. Most of the workouts I've been managing to not full out…

Looking forward to the fit test tonight.

I'm starting week 3 (fit test tonight) and haven't lost any weight but I definitely feel a difference in my body. My legs, which were never really a concern of mine feel like rocks when I flex them. I didn't have a lot of fat there to begin with but there must have been enough because it's different now. I'm also noticing…

I managed to make it through Plyo cardio without taking any extra water breaks last night. It seems silly, but it felt like a huge accomplishment. During the final set of ski abs I thought to myself, "Just make it through this" and looked up at the screen and the guy with the cornrows was on his knees sucking wind (workout…

Just remember that in order to gain a pound you have to consume 3500 calories more than you burn. I think if you've eaten an extra 21000 calories while you're doing insanity you probably wouldn't be able to complete the workouts because your belly would be too full. Its just water weight.
-
Honestly, I'd probably just do the next workout on the schedule. At some point if you feel you can do it, make up the workout on a rest day, or skip a cardio recovery and make up the workout you missed on that day. Don't start over though, keep pushing through. Even if you're off and finish it in 64 days instead of 63 big…

Maybe alternate between Pure Cardio and Cardio Power and Resistance?

That's pretty close to what I end up with. I try to keep my max HR below 185, but I spend the majority of the workout between 160-180.
