This is not going to come across right, but here goes.....,, ....it’s too hard to maintain 125 — is this story I told myself. I looked and felt great. But the story got louder when I wanted some cake or an extra glass of wine. So, damn the torpedoes — I upped my range to 130-135. It will be so much easier, I told myself.…

Just skip the pizza for a few weeks and see how it goes. I promise you that Domino’s will still be available in February (and March).

Walking was great for My weight loss because it kept me out of the kitchen.

Caulipower: $50 for a 4 pack on Amazon. A bit rich for my blood. But I’ll look in the local market

Too steep of a deficit and binging are two sides of the same coin. Try taking a smaller deficit, and see if that helps eliminate the urge to binge. Or set yourself to maintenance until you get your head back in the game. Anything to prevent backsliding further.

I love MFP, but use another app to log. I would switch back if the diary entries were accurate and I could track ALL nutrients (important if you’re vegan).
-
Yes, but you’ll lose your streak ( if you care).

You might want to do a bit more research. Lipo works best when someone is at a healthy weight, but has pockets of stubborn fat. It’s not intended to be used for “weight loss”. If you gain weight after, you’ve 1) wasted a lot of money and 2) will probably gain weight in areas other than those where you had Lipo.

I did my homework and ordered on Amazon. Start with a lower dose and move up if it works. Look for good reviews. I picked: Hemp Oil for Pain Relief - Stress Support, Anti Anxiety, Sleep Supplements - Herbal Drops - Rich in MCT Fatty Acids - Natural Anti Inflammatory - 1 Fl Oz (30 ml)…

Had it years ago and it took a full month to recover. This isn’t something to mess with, rest. Maybe it’s a great opportunity to totally dial in nutrition.

I IF with almond milk in my coffee, but purists will tell you that anything with calories breaks the fast.

Handiest kitchen gadget ever!! Toss your crock pot, wok, rice maker, etc. it does it all with no fuss and easy clean up.

You got some great advice here @CaliMomTeach. I’ll add one more thing, the podcast Half Size Me is focused on maintenance. The host, Heather, interviews someone each week about their story, I’ve found so many helpful nuggets and inspiration from her guests.

That’s actually what I meant. If weight loss is a goal, don’t go nuts with nuts, but butters or avocados as they are very calorie dense. I’m in several groups where people go plant based with counting calories and wonder why they don’t lose weight. It’s invariably the fats (incl olive oil). But agree they are important.
-
I typically get 50-70 grams of fiber daily on a plant based diet. Berries, squash, sweet potatoes, beans, bread, oatmeal and leafy greens.
-
The Forks over Knives app has hundreds of great recipes. Also www.thespruceeats.com. The beauty of plants, is that you can toss any old mess of things together.

OP - make sure you are getting enough vitamin D and magnesium from food, if not, supplement. Both are key to muscle recovery. Google foam rolling, it’s a form of self massage. tip: get a long (36”+) roller. One more, if you don’t regularly eat fish, you might want to take a quality Omega 3.
-
Cut them out for 2-3 weeks, then reintroduce one at a time. Life without wheat AND corn could be limiting. And also, if you are just ramping up your fiber, it takes some getting used to.
-
I got scolded for the first time since 2012 for just commenting on some dudes ab picture. And I eat kale, high volumes.
-
Random thoughts - do you take magnesium? Vitamin D? Eating adequate fats and protein? Does Tylenol or Advil help? Do you foam roll?
-
I have the same mini scale as @Orphia inspired by the same “lady at the airport” post. I keep it in my desk and use it once in a while for bag nuts and other calorie dense foods, but it doesn’t leave my office.

If I had stopped when my face told me, I’d still be 50# overweight. For me, it starts at the top and works it’s way down. When all was said and done, everything evened out.

Not sure if this is allowed, so mods delete if not...I’m very skeptical by nature, but ordered the tabs called Sweet Defeat. Essentially, they kill your sweet tooth for about 30 mins so sweets are tasteless, or some even nasty. I’ve tried it 3-4 times and will say it works. BUT, I don’t take it often because even my coffee…

After losing 90# (a bit less now), I had very loose skin on my arms, UPPER stomach and thighs drooping. After 2 years in and around maintenance, my arms have tightened up and look decent, my stomach looks good (tiny ab outlines) when I’m at or below 20%bf, and my thighs still look pretty bad. Fingers crossed it’s working…

@gunnshannonm assuming that’s you in your profile pic, you have an amazing physique and a lot of muscle, so you clearly have a handle on nutrition. To add calories without too much bulk, add nuts, nut butters, brown rice (or any whole grain), avocado, olive oil, dried figs/dates, or a good quality PP. it’s hard to think…

CBD oil + magnesium + mouth taping. Don’t spend $$ on the fancy Somnifix strips, just paper breathable medical tape works great.
-
53 here. I’ve tried everything. Really, everything. What’s working for me right now is CBD oil + high dose magnesium and mouth taping. Do your homework on benedryl and melatonin - you will find that some experts find them quick risky.

If it doesn’t hurt, don’t worry about it. If it does, go to PT. Simple as that
-
For starters, get the cortisone shot, it will fix it right away. Then, yes, Vionics are a good choice, and I like Hokas for running and oofos sandals. Over time, try things like yoga toes and barefoot shoes to strengthen your feet.

I’ve lost 75# and have loose skin. It’s a way better option in the long run, trust me.
