Yes, less body fat. I’ve adapted after 3 years maintaining, but still run colder than I used too. I’ll be the one in the fleece jacket when it’s in the 70’s.

Hey @teresamwhite do you happen to know if most nursing homes take items, or are you allowed because you work there? I love that idea and want to do the same.
-
Bottom line, be patient and keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t forget to reduce your calories requirement as your weight goes down. It’s sounds like you might have stumbled upon maintenance.

I actually went into Goodwill at donation time and got a $150 pair of jeans for $8

Barring a medical issue, that’s not possible. Watch the nuts, nut butters, seeds, avocados and oil. That’s the sneaky stuff that’s very easy to overeat. I’m WFPB too

WFPB here, since January. Maintaining weight and my skin looks a heck of a lot better.
-
And obvious but, your caloric requirements go down as you lose weight (not a ton) but make sure you’re updating your weight in the app and cutting calories accordingly.

I’ve done this a few times, but my current (and last) attempt has been the most successful. I started at 50 and am now 53. I’ve lost 85# and have maintained (for the most part) for two years. I’d say it was easier than past attempts (despite being in the middle of menopause) because my head was in the right place. I took…

Crazy - that’s a fluffin beauty right there.

I’m just starting year 3. I’m succeeding, but it’s been a roller coaster. Happy to cheer you on and provide support, but I’m not a model maintainer by any means.

My suggestions on MFP are typically not in line with others, so here goes..... IMHO: If you are NOT white knuckling it and feel good at your current calorie level — keep going. If you are motivated to be lighter at Christmas, carry on. Coast in to maintenance when you’re about 10# from your goal weight. Then start slowly…

Experiment to find what works best for you. We all have individual needs for fat, carbs and protein to get to satiety. For me, a very high volume/high fiber diet keeps hunger at bay. Mostly tons of fruits and vegetables. Whole grains like Oatmeal and lots of beans. I try to eat lots of large salads and for dressing mix up…

Parking brake, emergency brake.....parachute perhaps!

Let’s face it, any WOE has crap food. My point is, being vegan isn’t a silver bullet for weight loss or health. Many of the vegan processed foods are just as calories dense as their regular counterparts.

If anyone else enjoys podcasts (I listen and walk), there’s a good one called Half Size Me. It’s one of the very few that focus on maintenance. The host, Heather, likens it to parking the car. Way better to stay in park than to have to jam it into reverse. And you can always put it in drive when the time feels right.…

@Kdp2015 you look fantastic now and would look fantastic a few # lighter. Listen to your body - not some chart!
-
Snow plus 1/2 scoop vanilla, 1/2 scoop salted caramel, dash vanilla, 1/3 can pumpkin purée and tsp (or so) pumpkin spice. I used Ezikiel cereal on top for some crunch.

This is me at the bottom of BMI. Not skin and bones at all and still at 22% (give or take) bf. That’s why BMI = BS.
-
‘‘Tis the season for pumpkin pie fluff!
-
Start with protein then back into carbs and fats
-
If I didn’t eat when I wasn’t hungry, I never would have hit 220.
-
Look at the Cronometer app, it does exactly what you describe.

There is a crap ton of vegan garbage food out there, including the fake meats you mention. I’m WFPB — and yes, it’s restrictive. Can be very hard to eat in restaurants. But to me, it’s worth it. My skin and digestion are drastically improved.

I skip the xantham and still bloat. My post fluff belly looks like I’m fixin to hatch a 10 pounder.
-
OP - it’s your body, do as you wish. I got down to 18.5 BMI earlier this year (5-7 at 121) but still had relatively high BF. I looked and felt amazing. Sadly, I couldn’t maintain it. But there’s nothing wrong with being lean.

Thanks. I found one on YouTube that showed a few variations that are fun. I’ll find again and link back here

WFPB Vegan here. I get 50-75g per days, mostly from beans and soy. Vega or PlantFusion shakes for breakfast

I don’t have kids, so not sure all that’s involved there, but it sounds like more time out of the house with a structured schedule might help. Can you put two in a stroller and one in a back pack and take epics walks with healthy picnics play dates?
-
If you weigh 300#, 1300 is most definitely not your maintenance calories. Just sayin

Honestly, just pick a horse. You’ll have your own data soon enough. She who can lose on the most calories wins.
