it was a good week exercising for me. my total was at 8 & 1/2 hours. (that does not include the regular exercise of living like: cooking & cleaning) hopefully that will show at the final weigh-in this week. only a few more days to push for the goal, good luck everyone.

not my recipe either, but....i would suggest going further- instead of butter- brummel & brown is made from yogurt and only 35 calories in a tablespoon. splenda does a brown sugar blend that has reduced calories. you still will want to calculate the calories (sparkpeople is great). i'd use fat free half & half, still rich…

so chocolickkyss, i have a question. i am still a long way from reaching a maintenance weight, but i am curious and since you have been maintaining well for a few months maybe you can answer the question. i wonder how quickly you changed the number of calories you were eating to a maintenance level. did you gradually add…

olive garden has some new lower cal items. ask for the nutrition information when you are seated (it is seperate from the menu) i found the venetian apricot chicken at 280 calories fit in very well in my diet. it was tasty chicken & veg (no pasta) and then i had a green salad (no olives or croutons) and asked for lemons…

i was just talking to my daughter about this earlier this week. we were out somewhere and as we watched the people going by, i told her i no longer have a good sense of which ones look close to my size. i'm used to identifying with the larger people as being close to my size and shape. but now....? i've changed alot. but…

hungry girl has a number of recipes that use fiber one cereal. you might check the website for recipes with fiber one. i've got the 200 under 200 cookbook (200 recipes under 200 calories) from hungry girl and it has over a dozen recipes with fiber one in them.

you've gotten some good advice posted. i agree with checking the scale for accuracy. good plan. if you do find the scale is faulty and needs to be replaced (not just new batteries) i have read posts from a number of folks complaining about the weight watchers scale- just something to avoid if you are out shopping.

this is an interesting article talking about adding exercise. it is written for runners, but the stages apply to anyone going from an inactive to active lifestyle. trying to build new habits. (btw- skim or skip past the steps of getting started to the stages of a runner) as you read "the beginner: stage one" i think you…

I am so sorry. poor kitty. and poor you too. i have hated leaving my cats at the vet. even though you know they are being cared for by people who know what they need. (need not want, of course) this week was my turn though. i was in the kitchen fixing breakfast for myself, the cats were in other parts of the house. i…

better homes and gardens (the old red plaid cookbook) has a cookbook called "eat well, lose weight" in a binder, easy to use in the kitchen. we have not had a bad recipe out of it yet. we have a couple recipes that i made notes on them that next time i may tweak them a little (more spice), but really it has been great. and…
