Thanks! So simple, yet I never would have thought of it on my own. I've been looking for something new to dip veggies in and this ought to do the trick.

I lost about 20 pounds when I found out I was allergic to wheat and stopped eating it. It only took a couple months. It hasn't made it easier to lose the rest of the weight though ;) Gluten intolerance is different though. My scrawny kids gained weight after we took them off gluten, but they are still skinny. But if gluten…

Bread- I make ours, it's better and cheaper than any I've tried, we don't have to toast it to make it edible, the recipe is somewhere in the first couple pages of this thread. Our whole house is gluten free, and those who can eat gluten do so outside of the home and wash hands every time they get home regardless of what…

I have mine on linoleum, and I move it to weigh myself so I zero it before I use it also. Just tap on the center and let it do it's little blinking dot thing until it turns off, and then I weigh on it. That's how I get the most consistent reading with mine anyway.

I've been doing a 20 minute workout, and I feel like I'm getting the benefits of toning, but I don't think that it does much in the way of calorie burn for me. I add it to my log, but I probably shouldn't eat the calories from it.

I have mine set at lightly active. I was set at moderate, but it wasn't getting me anywhere, so I switched it to light. I have 4, 5 counting babysitting, at home, and 3 of them are under three, so I feel like I do more, but the scale just wasn't agreeing with me. I should probably clean my house more ;)

I have a pair of tight jeans that I keep with the pants I wear every day, when my tight jeans get loose, I put a smaller pair of jeans in the drawer, and so on. I try them on periodically, and that helps me to see, "Hey, I've lost in my butt, but I've still got a ways to go in my tummy." like that. I don't buy jeans for…

I should add that both of my little ones blood tests came back negative for celiacs or any kind of food allergies, but when we took them off gluten, the positive results were amazing! They both had failure to thrive before, and the then 2 year old was losing weight also, after being gluten free for a couple months she was…

Shoot! That means I have to add something like 15 servings of PAM to my bread recipe!

Here is the link to a thread with a lot of us with gluten issues http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/72884-gluten-free-girls-and-guys My family just went gluten free last year in June, as 3 out of 6 have celiacs and another with wheat allergy, so basically 4 out of six of us can't have any of that old stuff we used to…

Thanks for helping me put things into proper perspective, I tend to lose sight of the fact that I can be much healthier and look better at a higher weight than someone else at a lower weight, just based on how you eat and move. I guess I need to keep an eye on my target jeans instead of my target weight. I have one of…

I'm going to have to try this. We use spaghetti squash since we can't have noodles, but the kids generally make faces, so I'm always up for what sounds like easy and still healthy, but something I may be able to pull over with them too.

My BMI according to Web MD back then was 21.1 with a body shape of .4 (never heard of that before today). That's this website http://www.webmd.com/diet/calc-bmi-plus Today at the same weight, my BMI would be a touch higher because I have lost half an inch of my height since HS (back injury). It doesn't allow you to enter…

Bag balm has helped my husbands dry skin. We're talking dry and red to the point of cracking and bleeding. He would put it on his hands, which were the major problem, at night, and then put on a pair of cotton gloves to keep from rubbing it off, and sleep with it all night. I have used it for my feet the same way, wear…

Forgive my ignorance, but is there actually a bottle of vitamins called B Stress, or something similar? Do they work? I seriously need some help in that department, but have never heard anything other than take B vitamins, not which ones, doses, anything. I'd love to be able to get one bottle with all the needed B's for…

Looks like the juice and all Mina, so it's got bits of fruit in it, and the juice is the liquid that you're going to use for it.

Billy, your daughter will likely thank you for catching it so early in her life. She won't know the difference in foods, so won't know what she's "missing." We just went gluten free less than a year ago, trying to figure out why my daughter had so many blowouts and failure to thrive, and she was doing worlds better within…

I have a 14yo daughter, and she knows everything too. I'm so lucky to have her in the house to correct me when I'm wrong about something, like the slushy being good for her, like fruit, not sugar food coloring and ice. What a blessing to have such a font of knowledge at my fingertips. My husband and I can't wait for the…

They have some gluten free stuff too, which is important in my house, so we love them for the occasional splurge into "fast food."

I almost felt like that should have come with a warning to clear the room of kids, oh my. I've actually got tears in my eyes from watching that, I don't think I'll show my hubby though, I'll never hear the end of his workout ideas after that! :blushing:

Kelynn, my whole family loves the bread that I put a recipe on this thread for sandwiches, it's not crumbly or dry or stiff at all. It's also pretty easy. It's a bit heavier than wheat bread, but we love it. It's been awhile, the recipe should be in the first few pages of the post. As far as buying a premade bread for it,…

So it's like juiced squash? Weird.... If that's what it is, that's not the same as water, and not a substitute. Sorry :( I know water can take some getting used to, but it really is necessary to get water above and beyond what you get from your food. I have never heard of what you're talking about though, so if it's just…

I eat chex for breakfast every day, there are 5 different kinds of gluten free ones, so I will use mostly rice chex, and top it with one of the flavored ones. Simple, low cal, and I don't have to think about what I'm going to have for breakfast today, lol. As far as the headache, my guess would be stress of trying to go…

Xocai chocolate is good for you, I get it online, I've only seen it in one store, it was like a massage reflexology place that I saw them selling it, so your best bet would be online. It's pricey, but good.

Once a month in my undies, but make sure that you remember what part of your parts you're measuring, lol. For example, measure your waist always on the belly button and the hips always x-number inches below waist, etc. I didn't pay attention the first time I measured, so didn't have a clue if I measured the same places the…

I don't know what amounts you're using, and what their individual amount is, but I use 1 C frozen blueberries in mine and it's 19 carbs. I also use fat free milk, again, not sure about the carbs, but that's what I do.

This is a big reason I love this site, your post feels like I wrote it, and reading the responses helps me, and I bet others in the same boat as us too! Hang in there, I have come so close to giving up also, and just "being happy with who I am and enjoying what I eat" which is what I told myself before I started losing 30…

Thanks, I miss ice cream, I'll have to try those.

Didn't help me for more than a week.

I've been able to curb unwarranted cravings with hot green tea before. Don't know why I don't do it more often....
