Body Fortress protein powder You can buy a 2 lb. tub for about $15 at Walmart. Tastes decent. I mix mine with 2% milk.

Yes. Don't drink protein shakes unless you want to look like this in a week:

Like every has said, the amount of sodium is bananas. I love Ramen noodles, but crap like that gave me hypertension. After switching to a low-sodium diet, my blood pressure is now healthy.

Well, honestly, I fell off the exercise wagon when the cold weather rolled around, although I'm trying to get back into it. Ideally, I do: -Upper body weight training every other day for 20-30 minutes -Anaerobic/aerobic high-resistance cycling for lower body for ~1 hour three-to-five times a week

Bump.

10 hours is not an absurd amount of sleep. Maybe your body needs that much sleep; people require different amounts of it. Surprised I'm the first to say that.

It helps me to remember that the real goal is to live healthily for the rest of my life. The weight loss goal is just a result of that healthy lifestyle, and it will be attained eventually.

One of these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxmZTz3W6tw&t=1m20s My heart stopped when I saw how beautiful it is.

I've been taking this stuff for a long time. It changes the color of my pee, though. :\ I often go way over the recommended dosage, too; hope it doesn't kill me.

Your relationship sounds more like a marriage than a gym partnership. If you have that level of complexity in what should be a very simple relationship, maybe you should work out on your own and find a new dedicated trainer and/or new partner.

Anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours after waking. I'm never really hungry in the morning.

Just because parents don't moderate the food intake of their older, self-sufficient children doesn't mean that they aren't responsible for the children's eating habits. I think being taught poor eating habits growing up puts you at a life-long disadvantage. If the poor eating habits are developed after they've started…

Not that I have a problem with binging, but I could never binge on healthy foods simply because I don't like healthy foods enough to eat them for the sake of eating. I like them just enough to sustain me and not get bored of eating them every day. But when I get cravings, it's always for salt, and healthy foods do not have…

I don't agree with the "listen to your stomach." Your stomach sends signals based on the volume of food, not the caloric content of food, so it's rather irrelevant to the discussion of weight loss.
-
I've got 'em on my stomach. Luckily, I have a lot of stomach hair, which almost completely obscures them.

I weigh mine raw. Nutritional facts on the package. Voilà. It's better to weigh raw because the chicken loses moisture during the cooking process, causing it to weigh less and become more calorie dense, so you'd be underestimating its calories if you weigh it cooked.
-
Yeah. I can't really afford to get up in the middle of the night to pee because I find it really hard to get back to sleep once my sleep's been interrupted.

Smoothie: 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.) 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1 scoop vanilla flavored whey protein ice Shake: 1 cup milk 1 scoop chocolate flavored whey protein 1/2 banana 1/2 tbsp peanut butter

In order from most protein to least in my diet: chicken breast, whey protein powder, dairy, and peanut butter.

Short of getting around in a wheelchair, I doubt it.

Well, feel free to see if that works.

I don't count sugar period.

I'm not arguing whether the article is correct or not, but that^ is not what the article says. It says your metabolism will slow down, while your weight loss continues to increase, but at a lesser amount per calorie.

I eat peanut butter on toast and in protein shakes. It also tastes good on bananas and celery.

Puzzling OP and cryptic responses.

The military calculator says I'm 27.8%, while my scale says I'm anywhere from 31-40%. I'm much more inclined to believe my scale, because given 27.8% BF, I would only have to lose about 25 lbs. to get to a healthy BF% (19%), and it's very apparent by look at me that I need to lose much more than that.
-
I use Body Fortress too (chocolate), mixed with 2% milk, and I blend in a banana and peanut butter if I need the extra calories.

I'm 5'10". I've never been close to thin, so I have no idea what my ideal weight is. Set my goal to 174 lbs. as it is the highest weight within the "healthy" BMI range.

Like the others suggested, one can lose weight with no exercise at all. If caloric deficit alone didn't work for you, then it's possible you were eating too much or too little. Anyways, I lost fine when all I did was cycle 6 days a week. I'm losing fine now, as well, since adding weight training and cycling 6 hours per…
