I'm going to echo what has been said here already, I believe you are working out too much, your body needs some rest days to recover. Your diet looks ok, fresh foods are equally nice and rather easy to cook. If you're just cooking for yourself, cook enough for 2 or 4 and put half in the freezer. It's going to taste much…

Holland and Barrett are horrible. They sell poor products so when they go on sale you think you're getting a good deal. Compare to the more expensive brands and you will see that to get the same amount of supplement from 1 quality tablet, you would have to take more than double of the Holland and Barrett brand. In the end,…

That's not what bulky muscles look like.

I don't think the amount of candy they would get as an occasional treat at school would be anywhere near enough sugar to cause cavities. Same with birthday cake and party candy. Oral hygiene is key. I just think its wrong to pass the buck on the teacher.

I would love to stop using collars but the weight lifting police would tell me off, dear hubby! He used to be a bodybuilder so it's great getting one on one for correct form. Friday, I pushed him into a SL session.....and he liked it, enough that he is joining me tonight! At least he is in charge of the pillars when he…

My reward is buying smaller clothes when needed.

2 banana pancakes! Yummy!

Thank you both so much for your replies! As you can see, I have a lot to learn. For the first time in my journey, the number on the scale doesn't hold much weight anymore. I'm glad that I'm on the right track with feeling stronger. Will keep in mind the smaller increments on the weights if needed. My biggest struggle is…

I love love love running but just started stronglifts 5x5 2 weeks ago and already am feeling stronger and seeing a difference! I procrastinated forever and now realise I should have started sooner! I lift 3 days a week and its just a few different lifts and goes by so quickly.

It might be better to power walk to condition your heart for running when your heart is ready. I would also talk to your dr though to make sure it's ok to continue in that manor. I wouldn't adjust the hrm until then,

I just had a lunch that had 35 grams of protein and under 400 cals. Low sugar and fat too! Tuna, cottage cheese, whole grain Chinese noodles and a ryvita thin cracker I agree with the above if you can, get your protein from meat and fish. Most of those bars are full of junk but will do in a pinch. Edited to add, high…

These tactics started before the Internet was available in home and research wasn't as easy as turning on your computer or swiping your I-whatever. People aren't stupid for wanting to believe in humanity and trusting the food industry. People want to believe they have their best interests at heart. That is NOT stupidity.…

From what I understand, you can't target fat. You sound like an apple and hold your fat on your tummy. Since that is where you store most of your fat, it will be the last to go. Just keep going!
-
Thank you so much for your wonderful post! very helpful, all this calorie stuff is so confusing.
-
I just did day 2 yesterday so newbie here too! I don't think you came anywhere NEAR to failing!!!!!!
-
I wouldn't lose hope over just a week, nor would I worry even if it was a few months. I had a bit of a stall after dropping 100 pounds but you just keep going, now the weight is coming off again.
-
I think it depends on how you carry your weight, alot of people noticed when I lost 20 pounds. I carry all my weight around my tummy. The best notice was from a friend I hadn't seen for a year. I saw her at the local market and said hello, she looked at me like I was crazy and went to walk by me....then her jaw dropped and…

I eat oatmeal every single day, I make it from scratch with unsweetened almond milk and a it of truvia..... I have lost over 100 pounds. Oatmeal is one of the healthiest breakfast choices out there, just stay away from the instant stuff, it's full of sugar!

Place the scale in the same location on a flat hard surface, step on and weigh and record that number, do not step back on. It's annoying that scales do that but just take the first reading. If you want a scale that won't change each time you step on it, get an Omeron, they are really good.

I just started SL 5x5 yesterday and even though I'm sore today, I can't wait to lift again!
-
Only if it has mould on it I eat wholemeal bread but I lost 100 with plain white bread in my diet. I'm just try to eat more complex carbs, hence the change.

Downloading from BBC I player. Thanks

I would count all calories but I would also watch for the sugar content in some of them. I take a pregnancy vitamin that comes with an omega tablet too and they have no calories.
-
The topic says it all. Yes, we put the food in our mouths but this program shows so much deception and keeping polititians in the food industry's pockets. Threats to to the WHO organisation were made to withdraw funding if they published their bad sugar report. And this program specifically states that HFCS blocks the…

I agree, a good time is your time. I started running in January and have done several 10k 's. my best time is 56 mins! I run because I love running! I love seeing how fast I can go and challenging myself. Just have a good time!
-
I normally run on the road but have run on paths and grass and it really made no difference on my time. The grass will be compressed from all the running traffic so it won't get in the way.

What kind of Dr would recommend something like that?!?!
-
She is in the minus because she is going over the recommended amount of sodium, some of this wait gain is going to be water weight!
-
I would cut back on some of the sodium, it makes you retain water and I bet that's where most of your weight gain is from. Skipping meals will slow down your metabolism as will not eating enough. I think the suggestion of limiting exercise till you can eat more is best. However, I used to stay under 1200 calories at first,…
